Brigadier General Moussa Karnib honors First Sergeant Nadia Nasser for caring for an infant at the airport after the child’s mother was transferred to a hospital due to a health emergency.

Based on the directives of the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdallah, the Commander of the Embassy, Administrations and Public Institutions Security Unit, Brigadier General Moussa Karnib, honored one of the Airport Inspection Unit’s non-commissioned officers, First Sergeant Nadia Nasser, in the presence of the Commander of the Airport Inspection Platoon, Colonel Ali Hamoush. On 02/02/2026, First Sergeant Nasser took the initiative to care for an infant girl after the child’s mother lost consciousness within the premises of Rafic Hariri International Airport, where she was transferred to a hospital to receive treatment. Several social media platforms circulated photos of the aforementioned First Sergeant while she was caring for the infant. It is worth noting that the infant remained under the care of First Sergeant Nasser throughout the entire period during which the mother stayed in the hospital, until she regained consciousness and became able to care for her daughter once again. Brigadier General Karnib, on behalf of the Director General, praised the humanitarian initiative undertaken by First Sergeant Nasser, commended her dedication and humanitarian spirit, and presented her with a “written commendation from the Unit Commander” as a token of appreciation and gratitude for this honorable ethical and humanitarian conduct.

On 22/01/2026, following surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the unit arrested him while riding a motorcycle near the Gandour Factory in Choueifat. It was found that his name is: A. N. (born in 2002, Lebanese) Upon searching him and the motorcycle, the following items were seized in his possession: A small container containing a white substance wrapped in nylon, bearing a dolphin imprint Approximately USD 3,900 in cash of various denominations, LBP 5,700,000, four counterfeit banknotes of USD 100 each, and a mobile phone

He broke into a house and stole a sum of money; the Information Division arrests him.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was released: As part of the daily follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat crimes of all kinds, particularly robbery and theft, and to identify and arrest those involved. On 29/1/2026, a female citizen was subjected to a robbery involving a sum of money, after an unknown person broke into her home in the Khreibet al-Jundi area – Akkar. Immediately, the Information division began its field and intelligence procedures to identify the perpetrator. As a result of technical follow-up, his identity was revealed as: W. H. (born in 1981, Lebanese) On 2/2/2026, following careful surveillance and monitoring, one of the branch’s patrols arrested him in the Houshb area – Akkar. During the investigation, he confessed to the acts attributed to him. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority based on the directive of the competent judiciary.

The Bekaa investigation unit arrested the owner of a ready-made peeled potato factory and sealed the factory with red wax for violating food safety standards.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing monitoring conducted by the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces to address various violations throughout Lebanon and apprehend perpetrators, including those related to food safety, On February 2, 2026, a force from the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, in the presence of a representative from the Ministry of Health, raided a factory in the Qab Elias plain that was selling garlic and peeled, ready-to-eat potatoes. The inspection revealed that the factory was unlicensed and did not meet health standards. It was using water of unknown origin and processing garlic and potatoes (soaking, peeling, and cutting) using improper methods, posing a risk to food safety. Furthermore, the workers were not adhering to hygiene and food safety procedures, and wastewater was being discharged in a manner that polluted the environment. This raid resulted in the arrest of the factory owner, identified as: – W. J. (Born in 1994, Syrian) The detainee was handed over to the relevant department to carry out the necessary legal action against him, and the factory was sealed with red wax, after more than 3.9 tons of peeled garlic and 2.4 tons of peeled and cut potatoes were seized inside it, all of which did not meet health requirements. They were destroyed in the landfill belonging to the municipality of Qab Elias in accordance with health standards, in the presence of a representative from the Ministry of Health, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

The individual’s name is: – Kh. M. (born in 2003, Syrian national). Therefore, the General Directorate requests that anyone who has fallen victim to his crimes and recognizes him, come to the Beirut Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit, located in the Barbar Khazen Barracks, or contact them at one of the following numbers: 01-789746 or 01-810171, in order to initiate the necessary legal procedures.

A shooting occurred and a person was injured in Burj Hammoud, and the Information Division arrested those involved.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: On December 5, 2025, in the Burj Hammoud area, following an altercation between B.R. (born in 1998, Lebanese) and an unknown individual, the latter fired a handgun at B.R., who was wounded in the leg and transported to the hospital for treatment. The shooter fled on a motorcycle to an unknown location. Following this incident, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces initiated field and investigative procedures to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. As a result of the investigation, the Information Division determined that the shooter was present at the residence of: – T.S. (Born in 1988, Lebanese), a transgender individual and friend of (B.R.) During his statement, he declared that the shooter contacted him via social media and came to his home. However, upon arrival, the shooter changed his mind and wanted to leave. As he was leaving, an argument ensued between him and (B.R.), during which shots were fired. He confirmed that he did not know the shooter’s identity. As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, the division was able to identify the shooter as: – A.F. (Born in 2003, Palestinian) On January 9, 2026, after a meticulous surveillance operation, an Information Division patrol apprehended him in the Cola area. During questioning, he confessed that he went to the home of a woman working as a prostitute. However, after arriving and paying the agreed-upon amount, he changed his mind and demanded a refund after discovering that the woman was actually a transgender man. The man refused to return the money and expelled him from the house. As he was leaving, a man—later identified as (B.R.)—approached him and told him to leave. The man then brandished a knife, attempting to rob him. The man fired a shot at him to escape. He stated that the gun used in the shooting was in his home. (B.R.) and (T.S.) confessed to drug use. The necessary legal procedures were carried out against them, and they were referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action, as directed by the competent judicial body.

Following the injury of a minor girl in Tripoli, the Information Branch arrests two individuals in connection with the shooting.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division – the following statement: On 31/01/2026, in the Abi Samra – Tal‘at Al-Rifaiyya area, two unidentified individuals riding a small motorcycle fired a live round from a military handgun in the direction of a minor female identified as (N. D., born in 2010, Lebanese), who was walking in the area accompanied by her mother and sisters, resulting in her being injured in her right leg. This incident sparked public outrage in the city of Tripoli. Immediately, the Information Branch initiated field and technical measures to identify the perpetrators as quickly as possible. Following intensive investigations and inquiries, their identities were established as:– Z. K. (born in 2006, Lebanese);– M. K. (born in 2000, Lebanese). On 04/02/2026, during a simultaneous operation, a patrol from the Information Branch arrested the first suspect in the Souk Al-Attarine area of Tripoli. Meanwhile, a force from the Branch raided a chalet in one of the seaside resorts in the Qalamoun area, where the second suspect was hiding, and succeeded in arresting him. A quantity of drugs and a motorcycle were seized in his possession. During interrogation, both suspects confessed that while (Z. K.) was driving the motorcycle, (M. K.) was handling the handgun in his possession, when a shot was accidentally fired toward the ground. They continued on their way without knowing that the bullet had struck a young girl in the area. The latter later attended a private party where he fired shots into the air using the same weapon, prompting him to go into hiding. It should be noted that the handgun belonged to a friend who retrieved it on the night of the incident. The necessary legal measures were taken against both suspects, and they were referred to the competent authority pursuant to the instructions of the competent judiciary.

A carefully planned ambush carried out by the Beirut Investigation Detachment led to the arrest of two dangerous wanted suspects and the seizure of a quantity of Captagon pills.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division – the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat crimes across various Lebanese regions, particularly those related to drug trafficking and distribution, information was obtained by the Beirut Investigation Detachment within the Beirut Police Unit regarding two unidentified individuals involved in drug dealing, operating aboard a “Hyundai Van” vehicle in the Corniche El Nahr area – Dakhliyyeh intersection. Following investigations and inquiries, the detachment’s officers succeeded in identifying the two suspects as:– R. D. (born in 2005, Lebanese), subject to an arrest warrant for the crime of “arms trafficking”;– M. D. (born in 2000, Lebanese), wanted for the crime of “human smuggling”. On 31/12/2025, one of the detachment’s patrols managed to locate the aforementioned vehicle in the specified area, where a well-planned ambush was set, resulting in the arrest of its occupants. It was found that the vehicle had tinted windows obstructing visibility and bore mismatched license plates. Upon searching the two suspects and the van, 881 Captagon pills were seized in the possession of M. D.. The two detainees and the seized items were handed over to the competent unit to carry out the necessary legal procedures against them, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Impersonating a security officer to steal money from passersby, the Information Branch tracked him down, identified him, and arrested him in Doha Aramoun.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division – the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to curb theft operations across various Lebanese regions, information was obtained by the Information Branch regarding an unidentified individual carrying out thefts through fraudulent means by impersonating a security officer. The suspect would check the identities of passersby, steal their wallets, and then flee on a motorcycle to an unknown destination.A video circulated on social media documenting the commission of these acts. Immediately, orders were given to the competent units within the Information Branch to carry out field and intelligence measures in order to identify the perpetrator and arrest him. Following investigations and inquiries, the Branch succeeded in identifying the suspect as:– S. H. (born in 1973, Lebanese), a repeat offender with prior records for theft and robbery by impersonating a security officer. He had previously been arrested several times for similar crimes and was released on 16/12/2025. On 20/01/2026, after careful surveillance and monitoring, one of the Branch’s patrols arrested him in the Doha Aramoun area while he was riding a motorcycle without license plates, which was subsequently seized. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him, admitting to committing numerous thefts through fraudulent means after impersonating a security officer, using the motorcycle on which he was arrested, in several areas of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, including Gemmayzeh, Downtown Beirut, Sodeco, Galerie Semaan, Sin El Fil, and Achrafieh, where he would check the identities of passersby and steal their money. The motorcycle was judicially impounded, the necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority upon the instruction of the competent judiciary.

In Zahle, He Practiced as a Cosmetic Doctor Without Legal Authorization: The Bekaa Investigation Detachment Arrests Him and Seals the Clinic with Red Wax

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division,the following statement: Information was obtained by the Bekaa Investigation Detachment within the Territorial Gendarmerie Unit regarding an individual identified as:C. B. (born in 1999, Lebanese national), who was practicing as a cosmetic doctor without legal authorization or license inside a clinic located in the area of Zahle, also falsely claiming to be a dermatologist. On 28/01/2026, following intensive surveillance and investigative operations carried out by the detachment’s personnel, a force raided the aforementioned clinic in the presence of a supervising physician from the competent health authority. He was arrested inside the premises, and the following items were seized: – An identification plaque placed on his desk, bearing the following inscription in a foreign language:(Dr. C.B: Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine),meaning doctor of dermatology and aesthetic medicine.– Quantities of botox and filler injections, the majority of which had been previously used.– A large quantity of cosmetic products, two of which were expired.– A number of syringes and electrical devices used for skin and hair care and tattoo removal. The clinic was sealed with red wax, and the suspect, along with the seized items, was handed over to the competent unit to carry out the necessary legal procedures against him, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Circulation of the Photo of a Detainee Held by the Southern Suburb Detachment, Linked to Over 400 Robbery, Pickpocketing, and Theft Cases. Have You Been a Victim?

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division,the following statement: As part of an investigation conducted by the Southern Suburb Judicial Detachment within the Judicial Police Unit, with a suspect detained for crimes including armed robbery, theft, pickpocketing, and impersonation of a security officer, identified as:K. D. (born in 2004, Lebanese national), he confessed to committing these acts either individually or in cooperation with another person, as follows:– 250 pickpocketing operations involving wallets and mobile phones between the Shatila Camp and Rahab areas.– 150 robbery operations carried out through impersonation of a security officer between the Shatila Camp and Rahab areas.– 15 motorcycle thefts in the areas of Sibline, Jadra, and Barja. A wanted notice has been issued for his accomplice, who remains at large, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend him. Based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is circulating the photograph of the detainee (K. Selling Counterfeit Gold Coins in the Metn: Information Branch Identifies and Arrests Him in Flagrante Delicto in Broummana

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division,the following statement: As part of the daily monitoring carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat fraud and scam operations targeting numerous citizens across various Lebanese regions and to apprehend those responsible, information was obtained by the Information Branch regarding an unidentified individual selling counterfeit gold coins in the Mount Lebanon areas, particularly in the Metn district. Accordingly, the specialized units of the Branch initiated field and intelligence measures to identify the suspect and arrest him. Following intensive investigations and inquiries, his identity was determined as:H. N. (born in 1974, Lebanese national). On 16/01/2026, after a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, a patrol from the Information Branch succeeded in arresting him in flagrante delicto in the area of Broummana while he was selling six counterfeit half gold coins to a citizen. The items were seized, and it was revealed that the same person had previously fallen victim to a similar scam carried out by H. N. using the same method. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges attributed to him.The necessary legal procedures were taken against him, and he was handed over, along with the seized items, to the competent authority upon the instruction of the relevant judiciary.
