Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: Further to our previous statement, issued on January 15, 2026, concerning the seizure of a Captagon manufacturing facility in Tell Abyad, Baalbek. Following cooperation between the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Central Narcotics Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit, and the Saudi Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, and as a result of an exchange of information indicating the activity of individuals involved in manufacturing narcotics, particularly Captagon pills, in the Tell Abyad area, where a factory, warehouse, and quantity of raw materials for this purpose were located. Consequently, a force from the Special Group and the Strike Force of the Information Division, in coordination with and with the support of the Lebanese Army, conducted a security operation in the Tell Abyad area of Baalbek, which resulted in the seizure of a Captagon manufacturing facility, a quantity of narcotics, weapons, and prohibited materials. As a result of immediate follow-up, it was determined that the owner of this facility is: – R. J. (Born in 1987, Lebanese) Wanted on 23 warrants for crimes including drug manufacturing and trafficking, arms trafficking, forming criminal gangs, and others. His residence has been identified; he lives with his family, father, and employees in a complex of adjacent buildings connected to the warehouse and factory. Following a meticulous surveillance operation and a thorough security assessment of the site, a comprehensive plan was devised. The factory was raided in a swift operation at dawn on January 15, 2026. The owner and his son, (A.J., born 2008), were arrested for their involvement in drug-related crimes. Also arrested were his father, (A.J., born 1956), who was wanted on seven outstanding warrants; his assistant, (M.M., born 2000, Syrian), who was wanted on two warrants; and (A.H., born 2008, Lebanese). The following items were seized: a Captagon pill manufacturing facility concealed within a fully locked room in a professionally executed and well-camouflaged manner; mixing and kneading equipment; over one hundred metal printing heads used to press the pills; three generators; and approximately thirteen cardboard boxes of the drug “Kinaquino,” used as a standalone narcotic or in combination with Captagon. Weighing approximately 20 kg, a burlap sack containing marijuana, a quantity of hashish, 11 different firearms with various types of ammunition, liquid substances used as precursors in drug manufacturing (approximately 4 large containers), bags containing a white powder used in the manufacture of Captagon, 820 Tramadol tablets, and an amount of cash were seized. The necessary legal procedures were carried out against them, the warehouse was sealed with red wax, and two vehicles connected to the criminal network’s activities were impounded. The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces appreciates the cooperation with the General Directorate of Drug Control in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which led to these results.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts by Internal Security Forces units to combat crime in various regions and apprehend perpetrators, particularly those involved in robbery, pickpocketing, and motorcycle theft, a patrol from the Beirut Investigation Detachment of the Beirut Police Unit in the Ras al-Nabaa area became suspicious of a man attempting to steal a white NMAX motorcycle parked in the area. The patrol immediately apprehended him in the act. He was identified as: – R. Sh. (born in 1991, Palestinian) During questioning, he confessed to the attempted theft of the motorcycle. He also admitted to previously stealing several motorcycles, transporting them to the Burj al-Barajneh camp to sell them, and then using the proceeds to buy and use drugs. The stolen bicycle was returned to its owner, and (R. Sh.) deposited the item in question to take the necessary legal action against him based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the daily monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces to combat motorcycle thefts in various Lebanese regions, orders were given to the specialized units within the Information Division to intensify their patrols in areas where such thefts are frequent, to identify those involved, and to arrest them. On January 15, 2026, as a result of surveillance and monitoring operations, one of the Division’s patrols suspected an unknown individual of stealing a motorcycle in the Kahaleh area by breaking its handlebars. An ambush was immediately set up, and he was arrested in the area after attempting to flee. He was identified as: – E. Sh. (Born in 1999, Lebanese) During questioning, he confessed to the charges against him, specifically that he attempted to steal the motorcycle in the Kahaleh neighborhood by breaking its handlebars, and that he intended to sell it to someone in the Sabra neighborhood. He also admitted to using cocaine, stating that he had used it prior to his arrest. The necessary legal procedures were carried out, and he was referred to the relevant authorities, as directed by the competent judicial body.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue perpetrators of all types of crimes across the various Lebanese regions and apprehend them, information was obtained regarding an unidentified individual involved in snatch theft operations in the governorates of Beirut and Mount Lebanon. Accordingly, the Information Branch intensified its field and intelligence measures. As a result of extensive investigations and inquiries, his identity was revealed as follows:H. A. (born in 1997, Lebanese national), who has a criminal record involving snatch theft, theft, robbery, and drug-related offenses. On 19/01/2026, following a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, a patrol from the aforementioned branch succeeded in arresting him in the Airport Road area while riding a black GR-type motorcycle, which was seized. A search of the suspect and the motorcycle led to the seizure of the following items: An envelope labeled ADVIL containing one pill An envelope labeled ROMIPRIL containing 22 pills A white container labeled AMOCLAN containing white pills A plastic container labeled DJGMAX containing white pills A white plastic container labeled DEPAKINE Very small white stone-like fragments Two plastic containers containing a white stone-like substance Three stolen mobile phones, leather bags and personal belongings (stolen), and a sum of money in various currencies During the investigation, he confessed to the charges attributed to him, including carrying out numerous snatch thefts of bags and mobile phones in Beirut and the following areas: the southern suburbs, Ouzai, Bir Hassan, Haret Hreik, Hay el-Sellom, Airport Road, Ghobeiry, and Mreijeh. He also admitted to discarding documents in garbage containers and spending the stolen money on personal pleasures and drug use. The detainee, the motorcycle, and the seized items were handed over to the concerned unit to carry out the required legal procedures, upon instructions from the competent judicial authority.

On the occasion of the eighteenth anniversary of the martyrdom of Major Engineer Wissam Eid and his assistant Osama Mraeb, the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, recited the Fatiha (the opening chapter of the Quran) at the tomb of the martyred Major Eid in the cemetery of the town of Deir Ammar on Sunday morning, January 25, 2026. Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: The following statement: Several thefts have recently occurred from inside cars and vans loaded with goods along the highway stretching from Zahle to Ablah. Following this, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces initiated field and investigative procedures to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. As a result of the investigations and inquiries, the Information Division was able to identify him as: – A.H. (born in 1983, Lebanese), a repeat offender with a history of theft and drug use, and against whom an arrest warrant had been issued for the same crimes. On January 19, 2026, following careful surveillance, a patrol from the division apprehended him in the town of Jalala. A search revealed he was in possession of a quantity of hashish. During interrogation, he confessed to committing more than six robberies of money from parked cars and vans, including in Zahle and Ferzol, as well as numerous burglaries. He also admitted to drug use. The detainee and the seized drugs were handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal action, as directed by the competent judicial body.

The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the daily efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat various crimes throughout Lebanon and apprehend perpetrators, including those related to livestock smuggling into Lebanon, and as a result of investigations and inquiries conducted by the Financial Crimes and Money Laundering Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit, its officers were able, on January 7, 2026, to seize 22 head of calves and cows smuggled from Syria into Lebanon. This seizure took place in the town of Bhennin – Minieh, on a farm belonging to: – M.A. (born in 1984, Lebanese) – and his brother A.A. (born in 1991, Lebanese) Additionally, 20 head of calves and cows were seized on a livestock farm in the Dhour Bhennin area, belonging to: – A.A. (Born in 1975, Palestinian) – A.H. (Born in 1965, Lebanese) The necessary legal procedures were carried out against them, and the seized livestock was placed under judicial custody. Through follow-up investigations, the identities and locations of the cattle sellers were determined, and two of them were arrested: – M.M. (Born in 1989, Lebanese) – and his father, K.M. (Born in 1966, Lebanese) A search and investigation warrant was issued for a third seller, named: – B.M. (Born in 1975, Lebanese) Furthermore, on January 8, 2026, a patrol from the aforementioned office seized 57 dairy cows of Syrian origin in the Al-Tayro area of Choueifat. The cows were found on a farm belonging to (G.H., born in 1974, Syrian), who is currently at large. A search warrant has been issued for his arrest. A judicial custodian has been appointed for the seized cows. Based on instructions from the Financial Public Prosecutor, the Animal Resources Directorate at the Ministry of Agriculture was tasked with dispatching a veterinarian to examine the seized livestock and issue a medical report detailing their health status, upon which further action will be taken. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: On January 17, 2025, the manager of a restaurant in Batroun (A.L.B., born in 1983, Lebanese) reported that an unknown person had stolen approximately $4,932 from the restaurant’s safe on the same date, without any signs of forced entry. Consequently, orders were given to the relevant units of the Internal Security Forces to conduct field and investigative procedures. As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, the Information Division was able, within a short period, to identify the perpetrator, named: – A.B. (Born in 2000, Lebanese) On the same date, following a meticulous surveillance operation, a patrol from the division, within a few hours, successfully ambushed and arrested him in Halba. A search of his person yielded $3,858 USD and approximately 21 million Lebanese pounds. During interrogation, he confessed to the theft from the restaurant safe in Batroun. The necessary legal procedures were carried out, and he was handed over to the relevant authorities along with the seized items, as directed by the competent judicial body.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces, particularly in the area of food safety, on January 21, 2026, a force from the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, accompanied by a representative from the Ministry of Health, raided two chicken storage warehouses in the town of Saadnayel. It was found that the warehouses did not meet health and safety standards. According to the Ministry of Health report, serious and dangerous violations of health and safety standards were discovered, including: – Abnormal discoloration of the chicken. – Lack of necessary hygiene and refrigeration conditions, and leaving the chicken unrefrigerated for extended periods. As a result of the raid, ten people were arrested, nine of whom were Syrian nationals and one Lebanese. Two vans were also seized. The detainees and the seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings, and the two warehouses were sealed with red wax, as instructed by the competent judicial authority. Additionally, more than three tons of chicken that did not meet health standards were seized and destroyed by the Bekaa Investigation Unit at a landfill belonging to the Zahle municipality, in accordance with approved health standards and in the presence of a representative from the Ministry of Health, as instructed by the competent judicial authority.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts of the specialized units within the Internal Security Forces to combat robbery and theft across all Lebanese territories and apprehend the perpetrators, and following several complaints regarding an unidentified individual luring people through a global application for gay men, arranging meetings, and then taking them to the Kasara roundabout and subsequently to other secluded locations to steal their cars, money, or mobile phones. As a result of the follow-up, on January 15, 2026, a patrol from the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit arrested the suspect in a security operation involving a well-planned ambush in the town of Saadnayel, in cooperation with Army Intelligence in the Bekaa. The suspect was identified as: – A.S. (born in 2003, Lebanese). It was also revealed that he had committed several robberies, stealing money and mobile phones from citizens using a knife that was found in his possession. He had also stolen a car from one of his victims, which was later recovered in the town of Talia. He was selling the stolen goods in the town of Hortaala and using the proceeds to buy drugs. The suspect and the seized items were handed over to the relevant unit, and an investigation was launched under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: Following several burglaries in the Tariq al-Jdideh neighborhood, carried out professionally by breaking and entering using metal tools, the most recent of which involved the theft of gold jewelry valued at approximately sixty thousand US dollars, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces intensified their efforts to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. As a result of intensive follow-up and investigations, the Information Division was able to fully identify the suspect. Accordingly, a well-planned ambush was executed in the Cola neighborhood, where, on January 12, 2026, an Information Division patrol arrested the individual known as: – F.M. (Born in 1991, Syrian) During questioning, he confessed to committing four burglaries in the Tariq al-Jdideh neighborhood, particularly in the vicinity of Beirut Arab University and the municipal stadium. The most recent burglary occurred on January 11, 2026. The value of the stolen items, consisting of gold jewelry, was estimated at approximately $60,000 USD. It was also revealed that he has a prior criminal record for theft and that his modus operandi involves breaking into homes and stealing jewelry. The necessary legal procedures were carried out against him, and the investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: At 10:30 AM on January 12, 2026, the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit received information that an unidentified individual had stabbed a student on school grounds in the town of Saadnayel. A patrol from the detachment immediately went to the school and was able to identify the suspect as: – A.M. (born in 2009, Syrian national). They arrested him and seized the weapon used in the crime, a switchblade knife. It was also determined that the student injured in the attack, named: – S.M. (born in 2011, Lebanese), was transported in critical condition to a local hospital and will undergo surgery. Initial investigations by the Shtoura police station revealed that the suspect was a student at the same school. He had come under the pretext of greeting former classmates, but his true intention was to stab another student for personal reasons; however, he mistakenly targeted the wrong person. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
