The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to combat various forms of crime, the Information Branch obtained information about unidentified individuals who, using a black Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, broke into the warehouses of a company in Deichounieh and stole large quantities of alcoholic beverages, meat, and food products, with an estimated value of approximately US$100,000. Following this information, the Branch’s specialized units launched field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend those involved. Investigations revealed that the theft had been carried out in several stages on different dates. The Branch also succeeded in identifying the perpetrators, including the alleged mastermind, who had worked as a security guard at the company for ten years and owned the vehicle used in the theft. He was identified as: Kh. H. (born in 1998, Syrian national). On 11 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, a Branch patrol arrested him in the Tabarja area while he was aboard the same vehicle, which was seized. During questioning, he admitted to the allegations against him and confessed to carrying out the theft in three stages, in collaboration with other individuals. He also stated that he had worked as a security guard at the company for more than ten years and was familiar with its layout, entrances, and exits. He further admitted to selling the stolen goods to a Syrian national involved in smuggling goods into Syrian territory. The necessary legal measures were taken against the detainee, who was referred, together with the seized vehicle, to the competent authority pursuant to judicial instructions. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining individuals involved.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 18 August 2026, officers from the Basta Police Station of the Beirut Police Unit arrested the following married couple: M. Gh. (born in 1980, Lebanese national); L. H. (born in 1990, Lebanese national). They were arrested in the Basta – Ouzai Street area after the owner of a jewelry store caught them stealing jewelry using a sophisticated sleight-of-hand technique. The theft was captured on surveillance cameras. A search of the couple resulted in the seizure of 13 gold items without receipts. The jewelry store owner identified five of the items as belonging to him, while the source of the remaining items is still being investigated. Accordingly, and pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces is circulating their photographs and asks anyone who has fallen victim to their activities and recognizes them to report to the Basta Police Station of the Beirut Police Unit or call 01-633808, so that the necessary legal procedures can be taken.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to track down wanted individuals and combat drug dealing across Lebanon, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Detachment of the Territorial Gendarmerie Unit received information about an individual dealing drugs from a motorcycle in the Zouk Mosbeh area. Following this information, a patrol from the Detachment proceeded to the area. After close surveillance and monitoring, the patrol succeeded in arresting the suspect on 6 August 2026 while he was aboard a dark grey “Sweet” motorcycle. He was identified as: – A. M. (born in 1999, Syrian national). A search of the suspect resulted in the seizure of: 19 plastic containers of various sizes, each containing a white substance; A quantity of hashish; A sum of money and a mobile phone. The detainee and the seized items were handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

Following this information, the Branch’s specialized units launched field and intelligence operations to identify and arrest the two suspects. Investigations led to their identification as: A. A. (born in 2004, Lebanese national); S. D. F. (born in 2005, Palestinian national). On 13 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, a Branch patrol arrested both suspects in the Haret el-Naameh area. A search of the suspects resulted in the seizure of two utility knives, a booklet of rolling papers, and a quantity of hashish. During questioning, both suspects admitted to the allegations against them and confessed to carrying out several motorcycle thefts in Haret el-Naameh. The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority pursuant to judicial instructions.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to combat various forms of crime, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Detachment of the Territorial Gendarmerie Unit received information about two individuals suspected of stealing sums of money, bicycles, and gas cylinders from several homes in the Salima – Baabda area. Following extensive investigations and close monitoring, a patrol from the Detachment arrested the two suspects in the aforementioned area while they were riding a white motorcycle without a license plate. Both suspects were found to be minors. They were identified as: A. A. (born in 2010, Syrian national); W. F. (born in 2009, Lebanese national). The two detained minors and the motorcycle were handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 19 August 2026, A. A. (born in 1989, Lebanese national) reported to Dahr el-Baidar Police Station that he had been robbed of US$8,000 belonging to the medical equipment company he works for in the Bwarej area. Following an investigation conducted by Dahr el-Baidar Police Station, it was established that no robbery had taken place. When confronted with the information and evidence gathered, he admitted that he had stolen the money himself and hidden it at his home in Hammana, before reporting a false robbery to the police in an attempt to cover up the theft. A patrol from Dahr el-Baidar Police Station proceeded to Hammana and searched his residence, where the full amount of the stolen money was recovered. He was arrested pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority, and the entire amount was returned to the owner of the company.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to combat various forms of crime, the Information Branch obtained information about a gang involved in burglaries targeting homes and commercial establishments by breaking and entering in several areas of the Mount Lebanon Governorate. Following this information, the Branch’s specialized units launched field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the gang members. Extensive investigations revealed that the gang members used a Kia Picanto to carry out their burglaries. The Branch also succeeded in identifying several members of the gang, including: J. A. (born in 1986, Syrian national) J. M. (born in 1988, Syrian national). On 5 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, a Branch patrol arrested the first suspect in the Sehayleh area. During questioning, he admitted to the allegations against him. He confessed that, in coordination with the second suspect and accompanied by another individual who remains at large, he had carried out numerous break-ins and burglaries targeting offices and commercial establishments in several areas of the Mount Lebanon Governorate, particularly in Metn and Kesrouan, including Jdeideh and Zouk Mosbeh. It was also established that he had entered Lebanon illegally. The second suspect also admitted to the allegations against him and acknowledged that he had agreed with the first suspect to receive a sum of money in exchange for participating in the burglaries. The mobile phone he used to coordinate with the first suspect was also seized. The necessary legal measures were taken against both detainees. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the burglaries.

Following investigative efforts, a patrol from the Detachment succeeded in arresting him on 3 August 2026 in the Al-Qaem area of Beirut’s southern suburbs. He was identified as: M. T. (born in 1993, Lebanese national), who is wanted by the judiciary under several judicial warrants. A search of the suspect revealed tools used in thefts in his possession. The detainee and the seized items were handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

H. (born in 1982, Lebanese national), on charges of fraud. She has a criminal record for fraud, forgery, and issuing bad checks. During questioning, she admitted to the allegations against her. She acknowledged that she had deceived her victims by claiming that she could secure enrollment forms for various programs at private institutes. She would collect sums of money from them in return and then disappear. Accordingly, and pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces is circulating her photograph and asks anyone who has fallen victim to her activities to report to the Sidon Judicial Detachment, located in Haret Saida – Mar Elias Hill, or to call 07-754308 or 07-729147, so that the necessary legal procedures can be taken.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to combat crime across Lebanon, the Information Branch obtained information about unidentified individuals involved in facilitating prostitution in the Metn and Kesrouan areas. They were also abducting women working in prostitution and demanding payments from their operators in exchange for their release. Following this information, the Branch’s specialized units intensified their field and technical operations to identify and apprehend those involved. Investigations led to the identification of several suspects, including: D. A. (born in 1984, Lebanese national), who has a criminal record and is wanted under several judicial warrants; M. A. (born in 1982, Lebanese national). On 23 July 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, a Branch patrol arrested both suspects in the Mansourieh area while they were aboard a dark grey Kia, which was seized. During the arrest, they attempted to resist the officers, requiring the use of necessary force to bring them under control and apprehend them. During questioning, the first suspect admitted to working with others to facilitate prostitution and transporting women to hotels on behalf of several individuals, including: M. H. (born in 1994, Lebanese national). He also admitted to firing firearms. The second suspect admitted that he was aware of the first suspect’s involvement in transporting women and that he had accompanied him on several occasions, but denied any involvement in the abductions or demands for money. Both suspects also admitted to using drugs, specifically “Baz Cocaine.” During questioning, M. H. admitted to working with others to extort money from individuals operating rival prostitution networks in several areas of Mount Lebanon. They would lure women working for those networks by falsely claiming that clients were waiting for them. When the women arrived at the hotel designated as the meeting place, the suspects would stop the vehicle transporting them, take the woman’s phone, and instruct the driver to contact the person she worked for and inform them that she was being held until a payment of between US$500 and US$1,500 was made. The women were held in buildings or hotels in several areas, including Hazmieh, Mansourieh, Tabarja, Jounieh, Ghazir, Ain el-Remmaneh, Chiyah, Beirut’s southern suburbs, Zalka, and Antelias. The necessary legal measures were taken against the suspects, and they were referred, together with the seized vehicle, to the competent authority pursuant to judicial instructions. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining individuals involved.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 20 August 2026, the Information Branch arrested: B. S. (born in 1985, Lebanese national), on charges of theft and fraud. He is suspected of carrying out several thefts using a fraudulent scheme. He would contact jewelry stores and ask them to send jewelry via delivery workers. After receiving the order, he would make the delivery workers believe that he was going inside the building to get the money, before escaping through another exit in the building he had deliberately chosen to carry out the scheme. His crimes included the theft of jewelry and mobile phones. Accordingly, and pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces is circulating his photograph and asks anyone who has fallen victim to his activities and recognizes him to contact the Beirut Information Branch at 01-705127, so that the necessary legal procedures can be taken.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: A contracting company will carry out road milling and asphalt paving works along Pierre Gemayel Avenue, according to the following schedule: On 24 August 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following day, works will take place on the lane from Corniche el-Mazraa toward Adlieh. Traffic coming from Barbir – Corniche el-Mazraa toward Adlieh will be closed and diverted from the intersection opposite Mohammad el-Hout Street, against the normal direction of traffic, toward the Museum – Adlieh Tunnel. Vehicles will then be directed out opposite the Seryan intersection, continuing toward Fiat Bridge – Ministry of Interior.Asphalt paving will also be carried out on the same stretch starting at 7:00 a.m. on 29 and 30 August 2026, with the same traffic diversions in place. On 25 and 26 August 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following day, works will take place along Pierre Gemayel Avenue, from SKIN Pharmacy toward Corniche el-Mazraa – Mohammad el-Hout exit. Traffic coming from Adlieh toward Corniche el-Mazraa will be diverted against the normal direction of traffic through the Adlieh – Museum Tunnel until the Mohammad el-Hout Street exit, where motorists will turn right and resume the normal direction of traffic.Asphalt paving on this stretch will begin at 7:00 a.m. on 5 September 2026, with the same traffic measures in place.
