The operation is expected to last approximately 15 minutes. The works will be carried out on one lane of the westbound carriageway of the Tabarja Highway. Traffic will not be interrupted, but the roadway will be partially narrowed throughout the duration of the works. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: A woman filed a complaint with the Baabda Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit against her husband: H. M. (born in 1986, Lebanese), accusing him of domestic violence, threatening her and their children with a military firearm, and teaching their minor son how to use hand grenades. Following extensive investigations and inquiries, a patrol from the Baabda Judicial Detachment located and arrested the suspect in Sahra Choueifat on 11 August 2026, and escorted him to the detachment. It is worth noting that, during the arrest, a number of the suspect’s relatives and local residents gathered at the scene and attempted to block the military vehicle and prevent the officers from taking H. M. into custody. It was also established that the suspect has a criminal record involving multiple offenses. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to combat all forms of crime throughout Lebanon, the Information Branch received information indicating that several individuals in various areas of Mount Lebanon Governorate had fallen victim to fraudulent theft schemes carried out by unidentified suspects. The victims were deceived into purchasing gold coins at attractive prices, only to discover, after the perpetrators had fled, that the coins were counterfeit. Following extensive investigations, Information Branch officers obtained information that the alleged ringleader and principal perpetrator was preparing to carry out another fraud operation in Bhamdoun. On 16 July 2026, he was arrested after resisting the patrol, which was compelled to use force to apprehend him. He was identified as: A. H. J. (born in 2005, Syrian national). A search of the suspect resulted in the seizure of: One pepper spray canister. 185 counterfeit coins made to resemble gold sovereigns. During interrogation, he admitted carrying out three fraudulent operations involving the sale of counterfeit gold in Bhamdoun. He stated that another individual based in Syria contacted potential victims and offered to sell them gold coins at an attractive price, claiming they could not be sold in Syria for fabricated reasons. According to his confession, the victims were first shown a genuine gold coin, which they were able to verify at jewelry stores. During a second meeting, however, they were handed the remaining counterfeit coins. He further admitted that he generally introduced himself to victims under the name “Ibrahim”, in addition to using other false identities. He also stated that the same gang had carried out numerous similar frauds in Mansourieh, and that several accomplices had assisted him. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining members of the network. The suspect also admitted that he had entered Lebanon illegally. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and the counterfeit coins were seized. Investigations continue to arrest the remaining gang members. Upon the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces is circulating the suspect’s photograph and requests anyone who has fallen victim to his fraudulent acts to report to the Mount Lebanon Information Branch or call 01-513732 to assist with the legal proceedings. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crime across Lebanon, particularly drug-related offenses, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Unit of the Regional Gendarmerie received information indicating that an individual was distributing narcotics to dealers from within a warehouse he was operating in the Haret Hreik area. Following surveillance and monitoring, and in a targeted operation, a patrol from the above-mentioned unit apprehended him at 10:30 p.m. on 3 August 2026 in the same area while he was riding a motorcycle without license plates or a chassis number. He was identified as: H. A. (born in 2004, Syrian national) A raid on his place of residence, carried out in coordination with the judiciary, led to the seizure of a large quantity of various narcotics, divided and prepared for distribution, as follows: 50 ketamine containers 171 sealed packets containing crystal meth 49 sealed transparent bags containing marijuana Five large packets sealed inside a transparent bag containing crystal stone 22 small packets containing baz One packet containing a white substance 13 packets containing cocaine Ten transparent bags containing Captagon pills Eight bags containing colored narcotic pills Five small transparent bags containing cannabis resin (hashish) Five large transparent bags containing marijuana herb Transparent nylon bags Three pieces of cannabis resin, unpackaged, and one small piece of the same substance The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to locate and arrest persons wanted by the judiciary, the Information Branch obtained intelligence regarding the presence of one of the most dangerous wanted fugitives in the town of Ain El Dahab – Akkar. The suspect had been in hiding and was known to exercise extreme caution in his movements. He was identified as: K. S. (born in 2001, Lebanese). He has a criminal record involving safe thefts and residential burglaries by forced entry. Accordingly, the specialized units of the Information Branch were tasked with apprehending him. On 7 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, one of the Branch’s patrols arrested him in a carefully planned ambush in the above-mentioned town. A records check revealed that he was wanted under 20 arrest warrants, including: 12 arrest warrants for theft. 5 arrest warrants for forming a criminal gang and committing theft. 2 arrest warrants for arms trafficking. 1 arrest warrant for breaking and entering and theft. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – Corniche Al Nahr: From 10 August 2026 until Friday, 14 August 2026, a contracting company will carry out asphalt tack-coat spraying on the section extending from under the Peugeot Bridge to the Dakhliyeh intersection, daily from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following day. The road will be closed to traffic throughout the works. Traffic will be diverted left from beneath the bridge, then right after the Mallah station toward Badawi, continuing to Badawi – Nahr Entrance (Dakhliyeh) – Karantina. Traffic heading uphill will be diverted either toward Charles Malek Avenue or left toward Our Lady Church – Sassine. Second – Bhamdoun: On 10 August 2026, starting at 7:00 a.m., a contracting company will spray the international highway extending from the Dahr El Baidar Police Station to the Bhamdoun Tunnel in both directions in preparation for resurfacing works. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to pursue and arrest those involved in drug-related crimes, and within the security plan implemented by the Judicial Police Unit to combat drug trafficking and curb its spread, the Central Anti-Narcotics Bureau received information on 17 July 2026 regarding preparations to smuggle narcotics to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through a shipping company. Following surveillance and monitoring of the shipment, officers arrested the individual delivering the parcel while he was handing it over to the shipping company. He was identified as: H. N. (born in 1977, Lebanese). A search of the parcel led to the seizure of approximately 5,000 Captagon tablets, professionally concealed inside a flower vase box. The necessary legal measures were taken against the suspect. Investigations are ongoing, under the supervision of the competent judicial authority, to identify and arrest the remaining individuals involved.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking and pursue those involved, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Unit of the Regional Gendarmerie received information that an individual was dealing narcotics on a motorcycle in the Jounieh – Maameltein road area. Following surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the unit was able, on 28 July 2026, to arrest him while riding a blue and black motorcycle, accompanied by his wife. They were identified as: J. R. (born in 2007, Lebanese) K. G. (born in 2007, Lebanese) A search of the two suspects led to the seizure of: A quantity of white powdery substance, distributed in various containers and bags and prepared for distribution. Three bags containing cannabis resin (hashish). Cash and two mobile phones. During their arrest, they stated that an additional quantity of narcotics was located inside their home in the same area. Upon the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the patrol raided the home and, during the search, found 14 medium-sized packets containing a white substance. The two detainees, along with the motorcycle and the seized items, were handed over to the competent police station to take the necessary legal measures against them, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judiciary.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the daily efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat crime and pursue wanted persons and suspects across Lebanon, and following field and intelligence monitoring carried out by the specialized units of the Information Branch, the Branch was able to determine the whereabouts of a person wanted by the judiciary for theft and circulating counterfeit currency in the Bsatine – Aley area. He was identified as: T. Z. (born in 1984, Lebanese), who is subject to four arrest warrants for theft and circulating counterfeit currency. Following a precise surveillance operation, one of the Branch’s patrols arrested him in the above-mentioned area. A search led to the seizure of the following items in his possession: A military handgun with a magazine. 19 coloring tubes, believed to be used in forgery operations. A black military badge. 6 mobile phones. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to combat offenses against public morals and dismantle networks involved in human trafficking and organized prostitution, the Anti-Human Trafficking and Morals Protection Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit received information on 30 July 2026 concerning the activities of two organized networks operating in Beirut, particularly in the Hamra area. Following intelligence gathering and investigations, it was established that the first network communicated with clients via WhatsApp, sending them photographs of women working within the network. Clients would choose one of the women and book a room at a hotel in Beirut, where she would be sent in exchange for payment to engage in prostitution. Through surveillance operations, bureau patrols caught three women in the act inside one of the hotels. They also arrested A. H., who admitted to managing the network, along with four Syrian women and a Palestinian man who worked as a driver. At the same time, bureau patrols raided a second network operating under an escort service system inside the same hotel. They arrested four Russian women and one Brazilian woman in the act and seized sums of money believed to be proceeds from prostitution. During the investigation, the arrested women admitted to working within an organized network managed by two individuals operating from outside Lebanon, known by the aliases “Mila” and “Max”. Consequently, four wanted notices were issued against them and the remaining fugitives involved. A. H. also admitted to managing a network comprising eight women and to working on behalf of a larger organization headed by a man known as “Abu Ali.” The Syrian women confirmed that they had engaged in prostitution under her facilitation and under the direction of the latter, prompting the issuance of additional wanted notices against the remaining suspects. The hotel owner and one hotel employee were also arrested after investigations confirmed their involvement in facilitating prostitution. In addition, one of the detainees was found to be involved in trafficking military-grade weapons. The hotel was sealed by judicial order, and the necessary legal measures were taken against all detainees upon the instructions of the competent judicial authority. Efforts remain underway to apprehend the remaining suspects.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – From the Mansourieh Intersection to Deichounieh: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport will carry out road resurfacing works on the above-mentioned road from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, 8 August 2026. Accordingly, the road will be closed to traffic throughout the duration of the works, and vehicles will be diverted to the surrounding internal roads. Second – From the Nahr El Kalb Tunnel to the Royal Bridge, Dbayeh (Coastal Road): A film production company will be filming an Australian–Lebanese motion picture on the above-mentioned section of the coastal road from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on 8 and 9 August 2026. Traffic will be prohibited on the coastal road during the filming period. Traffic on both carriageways of the highway will remain open as usual. Third – Waterfront (Antelias–Naqqach): The Annual Sports Car Exhibition will be held on the waterfront between Antelias and Naqqach from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on 9 August 2026. Traffic will be prohibited on the above-mentioned road throughout the duration of the exhibition. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – Badaro: A contracting company will carry out asphalt tack coat spraying in Badaro on the carriageway extending from in front of the Smallville Hotel (Buick) toward the Museum intersection, from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, 7 August 2026, until 5:00 a.m. on Friday, 8 August 2026. Road resurfacing works will then begin at 8:00 a.m. on 8 August 2026 and continue until 5:00 p.m. the same day. The works will require a full road closure. Traffic will be diverted from the Badaro intersection either: Right toward Beit El Mohami – Justice Palace Roundabout, or Left toward Badaro Street. Traffic coming from the Military Hospital toward the Museum will also be diverted right toward Badaro, opposite the former Government Serail. Second – Sodeco: Road resurfacing works in Sodeco will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, 8 August 2026, and continue until 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, 9 August 2026, on both carriageways leading from Bechara El Khoury toward Sodeco.
