General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the units of the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crime and apprehend those responsible, patrols from the Mount Lebanon Investigation Unit, under the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, managed to arrest five individuals considered among the most dangerous suspects in armed robbery, theft and pickpocketing, within a period of 24 hours. The arrests took place in various locations across the Mount Lebanon and Beirut Governorates. The individuals arrested are as follows: M. M. (born in 1994, Lebanese): Arrested in the Roueiss area, in Beirut’s southern suburbs. He is suspected of stealing motorcycles from various areas in the southern suburbs and selling them inside Bourj el-Barajneh Camp. Video footage documenting his alleged criminal activities is available. W. M. (born in 1998, Lebanese): Wanted by the judiciary under an arrest warrant on charges of theft. He was arrested in the Haret El Naameh area. H. H. (born in 2004, of undetermined nationality): Subject to an arrest warrant on charges of motorcycle theft. He was arrested in the Sabra / Al-Harsh area. Y. K. (born in 1999, Lebanese): Suspected of carrying out motorcycle robberies in the Costa Brava area. He is wanted under an arrest warrant for motorcycle theft. He was arrested in the Sabra / Al-Harsh area. H. Sh. D. (born in 2004, Lebanese): Arrested in Wadi Chahrour following an exchange of gunfire with members of the patrol, during which he sustained injuries to his hand and leg. He was transferred to hospital for medical treatment, and his health condition is stable. The detainees were handed over to the relevant units to take the necessary legal measures against them, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authorities.

General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: On 5 November 2026, in the Bir Hassan area, two unidentified individuals assaulted a citizen and stole his motorcycle, inside the seat of which was USD 500,000, in addition to his pistol and mobile phone. The perpetrators then fled to an unknown destination. Following the incident, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces launched field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the two perpetrators. As a result of investigations and inquiries, the Information Division managed to identify one of the suspects, namely: A. M. (born in 1998, Lebanese). Following careful surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the Division managed to arrest him on 6 November 2026, in the Khaldeh area, and seized the stolen pistol in his possession. During questioning, he confessed to participating in the robbery with another individual. He also admitted that they had deposited part of the stolen money with several individuals and used the remaining portion to purchase a car. The Division managed to recover a substantial portion of the stolen amount. The necessary legal procedures were taken against the detainee. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the second individual involved, under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.

General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: Several news websites and social media platforms circulated a report yesterday, 5 November 2026, claiming that six robbery incidents had taken place in the heart of Beirut within a period of 45 minutes. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces wishes to clarify that this report is inaccurate and exaggerated. In fact, only one robbery took place yesterday around midday, in the Tariq El Jdideh area. In this regard, at 4:00 a.m. on 5 November 2026, a patrol from the Beirut Investigation Unit managed to apprehend two individuals caught in the act while riding a motorcycle without a registration plate in the Ashrafieh area, along Pierre Gemayel Avenue, for having committed a robbery in the area. It was established that both individuals had previous records for similar offences. They are: H. H. (born in 2002, Lebanese) A. D. (born in 2006, Palestinian) The following items were seized in their possession: A white GR motorcycle without registration or vehicle documents. A quantity of cannabis (hashish) inside a shoulder bag. The two detainees were handed over to the relevant police station for the necessary legal procedures to be taken against them. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces calls upon all media outlets and news websites to refrain from rushing to publish any information before verifying its accuracy, and to avoid exaggerating news reports that could negatively affect the overall situation in the country. The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division – issued the following statement: Infrastructure repair works in the Medawar area – Achrafieh A contractor company has commenced infrastructure repair works in the Medawar area of Achrafieh, in front of Baqlian Mills. The works will continue until 5:00 p.m. today, 5 November 2026. These works will require the closure of traffic at the specified location, with vehicles diverted behind the aforementioned mills towards Al-Bourj Company, until the completion of the works. Installation of reflective road studs in the Geitawi area A contractor company will install reflective road studs (cat’s eyes) in the Geitawi area, along the road extending from Saint George Hospital (Hôpital des Sœurs du Rosaire) to the end of the road section at Geitawi Hospital, followed by a stretch of 100 metres to the right and 30 metres to the left. The works will take place from 5 November 2026 until 30 November 2026, Monday through Saturday, from 6:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following day. On Sundays, however, the works will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. on the same day. Please note that these works will not result in traffic closures or any reduction in the available road width. Citizens are kindly requested to take note of these measures and comply with the instructions and guidance of Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as the posted traffic signs, in order to facilitate traffic flow.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division – issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces to combat crimes against public morals and dismantle networks involved in human trafficking and prostitution, including the phenomenon of women being present along roadsides to solicit customers: On 31 October 2026, officers from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Protection of Public Morals Bureau, affiliated with the Judicial Police Unit, arrested three women on the Amchit–Jbeil highway who were standing along the roadside for the purpose of soliciting customers to engage in prostitution. They were identified as: K. H. (of unspecified nationality / without registered civil status) A. A. (of unspecified nationality / without registered civil status) F. A. (Lebanese) In the Maameltein area, along the coastal road, a patrol from the aforementioned bureau arrested another woman for the same offence, identified as: H. M. (Syrian) During questioning, the women admitted to the charges brought against them. They were subsequently referred to the competent judicial authorities in accordance with their instructions.

S. (born in 1994, Lebanese) On suspicion of his involvement in fraud operations and impersonating a lawyer. Initial investigations revealed that he used to delude detainees and their family members into believing he had the ability to intervene in following up on their judicial files and facilitate the course of their trials in exchange for sums of money, exploiting his personal connections. Legal measures were taken against him under the supervision of the competent judiciary. Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Department: The following communiqué: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces units to combat child labor, the exploitation of minors, and forcing them into begging and street vending across various Lebanese regions, a joint patrol from the Beirut Investigation Division and the Anti-Human Trafficking and Morals Protection Bureau arrested two individuals suspected of involvement in forming a child labor network by forcing them to sell flowers in the Nahr area. They are: – A. H. (born in 2003, Syrian). – M. A. (born in 2009, Syrian). As a result of the investigation conducted with them by the aforementioned bureau, it was revealed that the first detainee heads an organized network for exploiting and trafficking minors, exploiting more than fifteen minors—mostly of Syrian nationality—by employing them to sell flowers in the Nahr and Mar Mikhael areas, with the assistance of the second detainee. Accordingly, a patrol from the bureau carried out a search operation at his residence in the Dora area and arrested his wife: – A. Sh. (born in 2004, Syrian). Upon investigating her, her involvement in the aforementioned activities was revealed, particularly since her two brothers are minors and work within the same network, in addition to her and her husband sheltering and providing housing for the second minor detainee (M. A.) in their home in exchange for his work within the network. As a result of inquiries and investigations, the bureau managed to identify one of the parents of the minors working within the network, named: – M. Sh. (born in 1978, Syrian). A search and investigation notice has been circulated regarding him. On October 23, 2026, another patrol from the aforementioned bureau arrested a suspect accused of forcing minors to sell packets of tissues in Sassine Square – Achrafieh, named: – A. H. (born in 1968, Syrian). Upon investigation, his involvement in the aforementioned activities was revealed, particularly as he employs his two minor grandchildren in these tasks. Legal measures were taken against the detainees, and they were referred to the competent authority upon the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Department: The following communiqué: As part of the ongoing follow-up conducted by the Internal Security Forces units to combat various types of crimes and apprehend perpetrators across all Lebanese territories, particularly motorcycle theft crimes, on September 22, 2026, a patrol from the Beirut Investigation Division within the Beirut Police Unit intercepted a person riding a black Yamaha N-Max motorcycle near the exit of the Phoenicia Tunnel towards the Ring Bridge. Upon attempting to apprehend him, he threw the motorcycle to the ground and ran towards Gibran Khalil Gibran Garden in an attempt to evade authorities. The patrol elements immediately pursued and apprehended him, seizing the motorcycle. He was identified as: M. J. H. (born in 2002, Syrian national), who has a prior criminal record for purse-snatching and theft. It was also revealed that he had stolen the motorcycle on the same night from the Starco area in Downtown Beirut. He confessed to carrying out approximately ten other motorcycle thefts from Downtown Beirut, in addition to the seized motorcycle. The detainee and the seized motorcycle were handed over to the concerned unit to take legal action against him, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judiciary.

The Directorate General of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking and arrest those involved in it, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Unit received information indicating that an individual was trafficking drugs in the Maameltein area, along the coastal road. Following surveillance and investigations conducted by the aforementioned unit, his apartment in the said area was raided and the suspect was arrested. It was established that he was identified as: A. A. (born in 1983, Syrian national). A search of his apartment resulted in the seizure of quantities of pills and narcotic substances, packaged in bags, sachets and plastic containers, and prepared for distribution. The detainee and the seized items were handed over to the relevant unit so that the necessary legal measures could be taken against him, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authorities.

The Directorate General of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: The company contracted to carry out the roadworks will resume paving works on the Damascus International Highway, along the stretch extending from the beginning of the Mdeirej Bridge, heading uphill towards the Bekaa, to the end of the motorway. The works will commence at 7:00 a.m. on 3 November 2026 and will continue daily until 4:00 p.m., until the completion of the works. Accordingly, traffic travelling from Beirut towards the Bekaa will be diverted at the beginning of the Mdeirej Motorway onto the internal Saoufar road. Drivers, particularly truck drivers, are kindly requested to comply with the instructions and directions of Internal Security Forces personnel in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.
