Two drug dealers active in the Metn areas: the Information Branch identifies them, arrests them in the act in Dbayeh, and seizes a quantity of narcotic substances in their possession.

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: As part of the daily follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to curb drug trafficking operations across various Lebanese regions, information was obtained by the Information Branch regarding two unidentified persons promoting drugs in Mount Lebanon Governorate, particularly in the Metn areas. Accordingly, the specialized units of the Branch began their field and intelligence measures to identify and arrest the two aforementioned drug dealers. As a result of investigations and inquiries, the Branch was able to identify them as: – A. Z. (born in 1988, Lebanese) – A. D. (born in 1975, Lebanese) It was found that the first is wanted by the judiciary. On 19-06-2026, following precise surveillance and monitoring, one of the Branch’s patrols managed to arrest them in the act in the Dbayeh area, while they were promoting drugs on board a white “Sky Wave” motorcycle, which was seized. Upon searching them and the motorcycle, the following items were seized: – 11 nylon bags containing hashish. – 7 bags containing a narcotic substance. – 3 plastic containers containing cocaine base. – 4 plastic containers bearing a heart mark. – 11 plastic containers containing a narcotic substance. – A mobile phone and a sum of money. – A wallet containing an identity card and a driving license that did not belong to them. During the investigation, they confessed to the charges brought against them. The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred, along with the seized items, to the competent authority, based on the instructions of the judiciary.

Circulating the photo of a detainee arrested for fraud and scam, who misled his victims into believing he could secure “Schengen” travel visas. Have you fallen victim to his actions?

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: Based on a complaint filed by a citizen at the Saadiyat Police Station, affiliated with the Damour Police Station of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, against: R. D. (born in 1983, Lebanese) for fraud and scam, after he had misled the plaintiff into believing that he was able to secure Schengen travel visas for him and his family in exchange for sums of money amounting to approximately thirty-five thousand U.S. dollars (USD 35,000), which he received in installments in return for following up on the travel and visa procedures. He also sent documents, reservations, and messages to give the impression that the procedures were serious. However, the visas were not issued, and when the plaintiff demanded that he either secure the visas or return the money, he threatened him. As a result of diligent follow-up and investigations, and based on the instructions of the judiciary, the defendant was arrested by members of the aforementioned police station. Passports, documents, family records, and evidence related to the complaint were seized in his possession. It was also found that an arrest warrant had been issued against him for fraud, in addition to two previous claims filed against him at the Tariq El-Jdideh Police Station for the same offense. The total amount claimed in these cases reached approximately forty thousand U.S. dollars (USD 40,000). The detainee was referred to the Beiteddine Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit for further investigation, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary. Therefore, and based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces circulates his photo and requests those who have fallen victim to his actions and recognized him to come to the Beiteddine Judicial Detachment, located in Baakline, or to contact one of the following numbers: 25-300216 or 25-300187, in order to take the necessary legal measures.

The Internal Security Forces affirm their continued efforts to control motorcycle violations.

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: Based on the decision of the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, which called for strengthening measures to control motorcycle violations in Beirut and to combat the breaches and violations committed by their drivers, which pose a danger to them and to public safety, the Beirut Traffic Company of the Beirut Police Unit carried out a campaign to control these violations within the capital. The campaign included the setting up of temporary and fixed checkpoints, and resulted in the impoundment of 880 motorcycles and 58 violating vehicles, as well as the issuance of 4,528 traffic violation reports, during the period extending from 24-06-2026 to 01-07-2026. The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces affirms that it will continue to control violations, and calls on citizens to regularize the legal status of their vehicles and to abide by the laws and regulations in force, in order to preserve public safety

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: Some social media platforms circulated a video showing a person assaulting his wife inside a restaurant in Chtaura, against the backdrop of family disputes. As a result of follow-up and precise monitoring, the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces was able to determine his place of hiding, where he was arrested inside a hotel in Jounieh. He was identified as: T. M. (born in 1992, Lebanese national) The necessary legal measures were taken against him, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Traffic measures on the Tripoli–Beirut highway, eastern lane, tomorrow, Thursday, due to maintenance works.

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following was issued: A contracting company will carry out maintenance works on the eastern lane of the Tripoli/Beirut highway. The works will last approximately three hours, starting at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, 02-07-2026. Traffic will be prohibited at the work site, and vehicles will be diverted toward Al-Salam Roundabout and the coastal road. Citizens are kindly requested to take note and to abide by the instructions and directions of Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as traffic guidance signs, in order to preserve public safety.

An altercation on a vacant plot of land in Jnah over scrap collection leads to one death, and the Ramlet El-Baida Police Station arrests the perpetrator.

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: On 26-06-2026, an altercation took place in the Jnah area – Sabah Salem Al-Sabah Street, inside a vacant plot of land, against the backdrop of scrap collection in the area, between unidentified persons. As a result, one of them was taken to hospital, where he shortly thereafter passed away. Following intensive investigations and inquiries carried out by the Ramlet El-Baida Police Station of the Beirut Police Unit, the identity of the killer was determined, and he was arrested in the Jnah area only a few hours after the crime was committed. He is identified as: Y. Ch. (born in 1986, Syrian) During the investigation, he stated that the deceased, identified as A. A. (born in 2002, Lebanese), had attacked him inside the aforementioned plot of land and stabbed him with a knife, causing injuries to his leg and left shoulder. He then stabbed him with a knife. After that, A. A. left the scene, and he no longer knew what happened to him. The detainee was handed over to the concerned unit for the necessary legal measures to be taken against him, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

In a tight ambush, the Beirut Investigation Detachment arrests a suspect involved in the theft of motorcycles and bags.

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: As part of the intensive follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat theft crimes and arrest their perpetrators, information was obtained by the Beirut Investigation Detachment of the Beirut Police Unit regarding the activity of a person suspected of being involved in theft operations. As a result of surveillance and tracking operations, the detachment managed to set up a tight ambush for him in the Cola area, which led to his arrest. He is identified as: Y. K. (born in 2002, of undocumented civil status). It was revealed that he had previously stolen a motorcycle from the Gemmayzeh area. He was therefore handed over to the concerned unit to complete the investigation. The owner of the stolen motorcycle appeared and filed a personal claim against him. As investigations continued, a video circulated on a social media page showed him stealing a bag in the Ras El-Nabeh area. Another video also showed him stealing a second motorcycle in the Airport Road area. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

The Bekaa Investigation Detachment arrests three wanted persons for their involvement in various crimes.

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crimes and arrest wanted persons across various Lebanese regions, and as a result of the investigations and inquiries conducted by the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, its patrols managed, on 1, 9, and 22-06-2026, in the town of Jalala, the Industrial City area, and the town of Talia, to arrest the following individuals: S. R. (born in 1996, Lebanese), wanted pursuant to two arrest warrants and a judgment summary for the crimes of forming an armed gang and weapons-related offenses. B. A. (born in 1981, Lebanese), wanted pursuant to an arrest warrant for theft. A. B. (born in 1993, Lebanese), wanted pursuant to an arrest warrant and a judgment summary for the crimes of attempted murder and transporting military weapons and ammunition. The detainees, along with the seized items, were handed over to the concerned units for the necessary legal measures to be taken against them, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Inauguration of a hall named after First Adjutant Martyr Elias Tawq at the Special Group building SWAT – Wouarwar.

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following was issued: On 25-06-2026, a symbolic ceremony was held at the Special Group building in Wouarwar, during which a hall bearing the name of First Adjutant Martyr Elias Tawq was inaugurated. He was martyred on 28-06-2025 while raiding the house of a wanted person on Al-Maatein Street – Tripoli. The First Assistant to the Commander of the Judicial Police Unit, Brigadier General Kamal Baalbaki, represented the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, at the ceremony, in the presence of the martyr’s family and with the participation of a number of concerned officers. The ceremony began with the Lebanese national anthem, followed by the laying of a wreath at the martyrs’ monument to the music of the Internal Security Forces band. The martyr’s hall was then inaugurated as a gesture of loyalty and appreciation for his sacrifices, and as an affirmation that the memory of the martyrs remains present in the conscience of the institution and in the memory of their comrades. Brigadier General Baalbaki delivered Major General Abdullah’s speech, in which he noted that naming the hall after First Adjutant Martyr Elias Tawq comes as a tribute to his memory and in loyalty to his sacrifices in the service of the nation. He stressed that the martyr embodied the highest meanings of courage and dedication, and that the sacrifices of the martyrs will remain present in the conscience of the institution and in the memory of their comrades, serving as an incentive to continue performing duty with loyalty and steadfastness. The Commander of the Special Group, Lieutenant Colonel Amir Keyrouz, also delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the gathering comes in loyalty to a martyr who fulfilled his duty until the end, placing the safety of others before his own life. He stressed that his name will remain present in the history and memory of this unit, and that his sacrifices will remain a trust borne by his comrades.

He is identified as: A. K. (born in 2001, Lebanese national) It was found that he has a criminal record and is wanted by the judiciary under several judicial warrants for theft and snatching crimes. The motorcycle was handed back to its owner, and the necessary legal measures were taken against the detainee, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Dahr El-Baidar checkpoint and a patrol from the Bekaa Investigation Detachment arrest a wanted person for multiple crimes.

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: Within the framework of pursuing and arresting wanted persons across all Lebanese territories, and based on information received from the Operations Room of the Regional Gendarmerie Command, members of the Dahr El-Baidar checkpoint, supported by a patrol from the Bekaa Investigation Detachment, arrested the wanted person: A. M. (born in 1992, Lebanese) He was on board a Chevrolet vehicle and presented an identity card that turned out to belong to his brother. It was also found that he is subject to nine judicial warrants for the following crimes: attempted murder, forming a gang, theft, drug-related offenses, shooting, resisting law enforcement officers, violation of the sanctity of a home, and others. He also admitted to using drugs. The detainee was handed over to the concerned unit for the necessary legal measures to be taken against him, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

The Information Branch arrests four suspects involved in robbery and drug-related crimes in Tripoli, and seizes a quantity of narcotic substances in their possession.

Issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat crimes across various Lebanese regions, information was obtained by the Information Branch regarding four individuals carrying out robbery operations in the Al-Tal Square area – Tripoli, in addition to promoting and using drugs. As a result of the inquiries, field measures, and intelligence operations carried out by patrols from the aforementioned Branch, the identities of the suspects were determined, and they were arrested in the act in the same area while using and promoting drugs. They are: – A. N. (born in 2004, Syrian national) – A. B. (born in 2002, Syrian national), wanted by the judiciary for attempted murder, theft, and shooting. – A. H. (born in 1995, stateless), wanted by the judiciary for a weapons-related offense. – A. Gh. (born in 2008, Syrian national), a minor. Upon searching them, the following items were seized: a booklet of rolling papers, a quantity of hashish, an envelope containing 257 Captagon pills, various narcotic pills, and three mobile phones. During the investigation, and in the presence of a representative from the Juvenile Protection Association for the purpose of taking the minor’s statement, they admitted to using drugs but denied promoting them. Meanwhile, A. N. admitted that A. B. was the one supplying them with drugs and selling them to them. The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred, along with the seized items, to the competent authority, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.
