The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Several complaints and reports were received by the Jounieh Judicial Detachment regarding more than twenty burglaries carried out inside residences within its jurisdiction, involving forced entry. Accordingly, the said unit initiated investigation and surveillance operations. As a result of follow-up efforts and after a precise monitoring operation, on March 19, 2026, it arrested in Nahr Ibrahim a man identified as M. J. R. (born in 1996, Lebanese). His accomplice was also arrested during a raid on a residence in the locality of Aachqout, identified as B. J. F. (born in 1986, Lebanese). A quantity of stolen items was seized during the search. The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the relevant judicial authority.

A statement was issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: A citizen filed a complaint at the Sebaal police station, affiliated with the Zgharta unit of the Regional Gendarmerie, against: Ch. H. (born in 1989, Syrian national) on charges of theft. He stated that the suspect, who worked for him, broke into his warehouse in the town of Karm Sadda on 21-03-2026 and stole five barrels containing olive oil (each with a capacity of 160 liters). He also stole a white Suzuki pickup truck without license plates, whose key was inside, before fleeing to an unknown destination accompanied by his wife and her cousin. The total value of the stolen items, including the vehicle, was estimated at 9,000 US dollars. Following investigations conducted by the competent units of the Internal Security Forces, a patrol from the Halba Judicial Unit was able to locate the pickup truck, but not the oil barrels, in an area near the northern border. Accordingly, and based on instructions from the competent judicial authority, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces has circulated the suspect’s photo and requests anyone who has seen him or has any information about him or his whereabouts to contact the Sebaal police station at 06-595404. It is noted that anyone providing information will have their identity kept confidential in accordance with the law.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following: Due to heavy rainfall and weather conditions, a collapse of soil and rocks occurred on the Qanater Zbeideh road in the Hazmieh area. As a result, the municipalities of Mansourieh and Hazmieh have closed the road until the risks are removed. Citizens are requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the traffic signs placed in the area, in order to preserve public safety and prevent congestion.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following: On 21-03-2026, on the Tabarja highway – western lane, specifically near the Casino Bridge, a van collided with the metal guardrail on the right side. The accident caused damage to public property, resulting in the breakage and cracking of concrete pillars, as well as the bending of the metal guardrail toward the elevated valley, posing a danger to vehicles in case of collision.The Ministry of Public Works has been notified in order to address the issue. Citizens are requested to: Exercise extreme caution while driving in the area until the road is restored to its original condition. Therefore, the public is requested to take note and comply with the instructions of the Internal Security Forces personnel, their guidance, and the traffic signs in place, in order to facilitate traffic flow.

It was established on 01-03-2026 and designated for registering displaced persons.Through follow-up conducted by the Information Branch of the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, it was found that this website is suspicious.Accordingly, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces warns citizens and residents against accessing or interacting with this website, in order to avoid data hacking and the theft of personal information.The Directorate also reiterates its warning not to access any suspicious, unsafe, or unverified websites, pages, or links, to avoid being subjected to hacking operations that may target accounts, personal data, or lead to financial theft.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Further to our previous statement regarding individuals carrying out fraud operations عبر social media, exploiting the conditions of displaced citizens by publishing fake advertisements for apartment rentals, and as part of the intensive follow-up conducted by the Internal Security Forces to identify those involved in these operations. As a result of extensive investigations and inquiries, the Cybercrime and Intellectual Property Protection Bureau within the Judicial Police Unit succeeded in identifying one of the main suspects involved in these operations, identified as: J. A. (born in 1990, Lebanese) On 16-03-2026, following a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, information was obtained about his whereabouts, and a patrol from the bureau proceeded to arrest him. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him, including creating fake accounts on social media applications and publishing false advertisements for apartment rentals. He would lure victims into sending advance payments (deposits) via money transfer companies, then cut off all communication with them after receiving the funds. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent judicial authority based on the decision of the relevant court. Efforts are ongoing to arrest all those involved in these fraudulent networks.

It was transferred to Batroun Governmental Hospital, and no one has come forward to inquire about him. Description of the body: height approximately 176 cm; wearing a wool shirt colored burgundy and brown with horizontal stripes, and a green undershirt. Therefore, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces requests that relatives or anyone who knows anything about him contact the Tripoli Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit at the number: 06-423039, in order to take the necessary legal measures in preparation for handing over the body.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: The Cybercrime and Intellectual Property Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit has recently identified that unknown individuals have been carrying out fraud operations through social media platforms, exploiting the difficult circumstances faced by some citizens, particularly those who have been forced to flee their areas. These schemes involve fraudsters posting advertisements or contacting citizens directly, claiming that they can secure houses or apartments for rent. After luring victims and convincing them that accommodation has been secured, the scammers request advance payments through money transfer companies under the pretext of a “deposit” or “reservation fee.” It later becomes clear that these offers are fake, as the scammers cut off all communication immediately after receiving the money. Therefore, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces warns citizens against being misled by such suspicious advertisements and urges them not to transfer any money to unknown persons before inspecting the property in person and verifying the identity of the legal owner, in order to avoid falling victim to fraud. They also encourage citizens to report any similar attempt through the “Baligh” service available on the website: https://isf.gov.lb, by downloading the Internal Security Forces mobile application on smartphones, or by contacting the nearest security station.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: The following statement was released: In light of the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing, the significant displacement toward the city of Beirut, and in order to keep roads passable, ensure public safety, and secure the movement of the Fire Brigade, ambulances, rescue vehicles, and other emergency services, members of the Internal Security Forces, in cooperation with personnel from the Beirut Municipality, will take the necessary measures to remove all vehicles parked on double lanes and on road sides that obstruct traffic. Accordingly, citizens are kindly requested to: Refrain from parking their cars and vehicles in the following locations: on double lanes, at tunnel entrances, and at bends, roundabouts, and intersections. Comply with the directions and instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel deployed on the roads, as well as with the traffic signs installed for this purpose. Head to the parking areas located in Downtown Beirut – Martyrs’ Square, opposite Al-Amin Mosque, and use them (noting that these parking spaces are free of charge). These measures aim to facilitate traffic flow and ensure that emergency teams can reach locations quickly and safely when needed. Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: Based on information received by the Mount Lebanon Investigation Division of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit regarding a shooting incident in the locality of Bir Hassan – Al-Mourouj School Street, where an unidentified individual, driving a black BMW X5 against the flow of traffic, opened fire with a military pistol following a verbal altercation between him and another driver who happened to be passing through the area. The gunfire struck a Honda vehicle driven by a female citizen who was passing through the المذكورة location, without any reported injuries. As a result of investigations, field follow-up, and surveillance, the ownership of the vehicle and the identity of its driver were determined. His location was also identified in the Moawad area – commercial market. Accordingly, a patrol from the division proceeded to the location, cordoned off the area, and arrested him while he was inside the المذكورة vehicle. He is identified as: A.A. (born in 1991, Syrian national) The suspect and the vehicle were handed over to the competent unit in order to undertake the necessary legal proceedings against him, based on the direction of the competent judicial authority.
