Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: Based on information received by the Mount Lebanon Investigation Division of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit regarding a shooting incident in the locality of Bir Hassan – Al-Mourouj School Street, where an unidentified individual, driving a black BMW X5 against the flow of traffic, opened fire with a military pistol following a verbal altercation between him and another driver who happened to be passing through the area. The gunfire struck a Honda vehicle driven by a female citizen who was passing through the المذكورة location, without any reported injuries. As a result of investigations, field follow-up, and surveillance, the ownership of the vehicle and the identity of its driver were determined. His location was also identified in the Moawad area – commercial market. Accordingly, a patrol from the division proceeded to the location, cordoned off the area, and arrested him while he was inside the المذكورة vehicle. He is identified as: A.A. (born in 1991, Syrian national) The suspect and the vehicle were handed over to the competent unit in order to undertake the necessary legal proceedings against him, based on the direction of the competent judicial authority.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: As part of the daily efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking and promotion across various Lebanese regions, information was obtained by the Information Branch regarding two unidentified individuals involved in drug distribution in the Mount Lebanon area, particularly in the Metn district. Following investigations, field inquiries, and intelligence operations, the identities of the two dealers were established, and they were arrested in the locality of Dbayeh while distributing drugs aboard a black Nissan vehicle, which was seized. They are: A.H. (born in 1999, Syrian national) A.R.J. (born in 1976, Syrian national) A search of the suspects and the vehicle led to the seizure of the following: Two plastic containers marked with a crown symbol containing cocaine. Six plastic containers labeled “Yellow” with an eagle symbol containing cocaine. Eighteen packets labeled “Black” with an eagle symbol containing cocaine. Nine envelopes labeled “White” with an eagle symbol containing cocaine paste (baz). One container holding “foreign” cocaine. 11 Captagon pills. 13 pieces of cannabis resin (hashish). A sum of money and three mobile phones. During interrogation, both suspects confessed to the charges brought against them. The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred, along with the seized items, to the competent judicial authority upon the direction of the judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement: The Saida Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit received a complaint from a female citizen against an unknown individual for theft from inside her vehicle in the Nabi Sari area, near the Loubiyeh junction. The suspect misled her into believing that he would repair the car, then stole her wallet and fled on his motorcycle. She stated that she photographed him with her mobile phone after sensing that he intended to steal from her. Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement: As part of the daily follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue perpetrators of crimes, as well as suspicious individuals and persons wanted by the judiciary in various Lebanese regions. On 17/02/2026, while citizen: M. A. (born in 2003)was traveling on the main road of the town of Al-Mouhammara – Akkar, driving his red Toyota van, the individual: H. R. (born in 1997, Lebanese) kidnapped (M. A.) inside the van due to a financial dispute between them and took him to an unknown destination. Following field investigations and intensive inquiries, and only a few hours after the kidnapping, a patrol from the Information Branch, through a well-planned ambush in the town of Bebnine, succeeded in freeing the victim, recovering the van, and arresting the kidnapper. It was found that the latter was wanted by the judiciary under two arrest warrants for theft and felony, as well as a conviction for belonging to a terrorist organization. The detainee was handed over to the competent unit in order to carry out the necessary legal measures against him, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations The following statement: In the context of the ongoing work carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crimes across Lebanon, and particularly drug trafficking and distribution, the Bekaa Investigation Unit received information regarding the activities of: A. D. (born 1958, Lebanese) It was reported that he purchased a quantity of drugs in Hortaala with the intention of distributing them in the city of Zahle. Immediately, and following precise monitoring and surveillance operations, one of the unit’s patrols arrested him in Farzal, in front of “Al-Hamra Plaza” Center, driving a Mercedes car. Upon searching him, the following items were found in his possession: 4 nylon bags containing base cocaine. A white paper containing approximately 7 grams of cocaine. A mobile phone, a sum of money, his personal identification record, and the vehicle registration of the car he was driving. The detainee, along with the confiscated items, was handed over to the relevant authority to take the necessary legal measures, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judiciary.

General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations The following statement: In the context of the ongoing daily efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat crimes across all Lebanese regions, the Information Branch received reports of citizens in Tripoli being subjected to fraud-based thefts carried out by an individual on a motorbike, who deceives victims by claiming they hit him. Following this, the specialized units of the branch initiated field and investigative procedures to identify and apprehend the suspect. As a result of the investigations, his identity was confirmed as: • Y. H. (born 1992, Lebanese) He has multiple judicial warrants for theft, forming a gang, drug-related crimes, and impersonating a security officer. On 18-2-2026, in a targeted operation, one of the branch’s patrols arrested him in Sahat Al-Noor – Tripoli on a white “Sweet” motorbike, which was seized. A glass panel belonging to a car sunroof was also found in his possession. Upon interrogation, he confessed to the acts attributed to him. Specifically, he would deceive his victims by claiming they hit him while he was riding his motorbike (the one seized). He would then drop a car sunroof panel he carried to break it upon contact with the vehicle, demanding a financial settlement from the driver in exchange for the panel, presenting a fake invoice dated the same day claiming he had purchased it. Legal procedures were carried out against him, and he was handed over to the relevant authority along with the confiscated items, following the instructions of the competent judiciary. Following a precise surveillance operation and field monitoring that lasted several days—during which the suspects’ movements were tracked and the necessary information was gathered to confirm their activity—their exact location was identified. Subsequently, a well-coordinated security operation was carried out, resulting in their arrest while onboard a four-wheel-drive Honda CR-V. They are: A. H. (born in 1999, Syrian national)F. M. Following intensive investigations and inquiries conducted by the unit’s personnel, their identities were identified and they were arrested in the aforementioned area on a “GR” motorcycle. They are: A. A. (born in 1991, Syrian), wanted for forgery A. Z. (born in 2000, Syrian) Seized from their possession were: 38 plastic containers containing narcotic substances A six-click knife A sum of money A mobile phone In a separate development, based on similar information regarding drug-dealing activity in the Halat area, and following surveillance and monitoring operations, the suspects’ location in the same area was identified. As a result, it carried out a rapid and specialized operation leading to the arrest of the parcel’s recipient: Sh. B. (born in 1981, Lebanese). Through immediate interrogation and cross-checking of technical and forensic data, the warehouse he used to store the goods prior to distributing them to dealers and promoters was identified in the Zouk Mikael area. A patrol from the aforementioned office raided the warehouse and seized a large and diverse quantity of drugs, including: Four plastic “Skittles” boxes containing colored jelly-like pellets. A “Genz” cardboard box containing beige powder. Four spray-shaped boxes (brand “Puffla”) containing cigarette-shaped items. Two “Trippy Snax Dubay” cardboard boxes containing cigar pieces. Four slabs of cannabis resin weighing 1,270 grams. 49 nylon bags and two boxes containing marijuana weighing 1,325 grams. 14 nylon bags containing 640 ecstasy pills. 5 plastic wraps containing mushroom substance weighing 30 grams. 30 bags containing “choco mushroom” weighing 705 grams. 20 wraps bearing cocaine traces. 50 electronic cigarettes containing cannabis. Following a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the branch’s patrols raided the apartment in Zouk Mikael and arrested the suspects inside. They are: M. A. (born in 1988, Iraqi) K. Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: The Traffic Units of the Internal Security Forces continue their mission of enforcing speeding violations through radar monitoring day and night. During one week, from 16/02/2026 until the morning of 23/02/2026, a total of 4,546 speeding tickets were issued, with the aim of preserving citizens’ safety, deterring reckless driving, and reducing accidents. Additionally, within the framework of their duties in maintaining security and order and combating various types of crime, units of the Internal Security Forces arrested 261 individuals across Lebanese territory during the same period (from 16/02/2026 until the morning of 23/02/2026). Those arrested were involved in various criminal offenses and were wanted by the judiciary under different warrants and judicial rulings.
