Sponsored and on the presence of the Director General of the ISF, Major General Imad Osman, and the Ambassador of the European Union in Lebanon, Mrs. Sandra De Waele, and the Ambassador of Spain, Mr. Jesus Santos Aguado , there was, on the 3rd of September 2024, the inauguration of Zouheir Joudi building in Jimayzeh , that we have started the opiningand modernization works , in the framework of enhancing the concepts of community policing by means of the EU financing , further its destruction by the Beirut port explosion on 4th of August 2020. And this building comprises the commandment of the third Territorial Company of Beirut, and the two police stations of Al Jimayzeh and Al Nahr.
And were present in this ceremony, the Muhafez of Beirut, the Magistrate Marwan Abboud, the Coordinator of the Project of Enhancing the Community Policing , Mrs. Consuelo Navaro , a Representative of the French Embassy , Mr. Oscar Luba, a liaison Officer in the Embassy of Spain Mr. Antonio Bernabeu , the Commander in Chief of the ISF Institute, the Administrative General Bilal Al Hajjar, the Commander of the Police of Beirut by proxy, General Ahmad Abla, the head of the Public Relations Department, General Joseph Moussallem, the Commander of the Third Territorial Company of Beirut, General Ahmad Hamdan and a number of officers.
And further unveiling the commemorative plate in the entry of the building, and also after cutting the ribbon of inauguration, by Major General Imad Osman, and the two Ambassadors De Waele and Aguado, Mrs Navaro has expressed her beatitude for the end of the restoration works related to the building, and its readiness to play its role in the heart of the capital Beirut.
From his side, Major General Imad Osman, has thanked all the project responsible and especially the EU represented by the Ambassador De Waele, and he highlighted the big role of the EU who shared to enhance the security, and the safety, also the service of the Lebanese citizen.
Further one, the audience has made a roundup in the sections of the building and have inspected the offices, the investigation’s rooms, the detention and arrest centers that respect the criteria of the human rights.

At 11:00 a.m. on October 14, 2025, a first-of-its-kind coordination meeting was held at the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces (ISF). The meeting brought together ambassadors and representatives of donor countries, as well as accredited executive directors from Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Norway, the United States of America, Spain, Italy, Canada, South Korea, and the European Union. Also in attendance were representatives from the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon (UNSCOL) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), as these countries and organizations are involved in providing technical, logistical, and operational support to the ISF. The meeting was also attended by the Chief of Staff Unit and a number of senior officers. During the session Major General Raed Abdullah, Director General of the ISF, delivered a speech affirming the ISF’s commitment to fulfilling its responsibilities and carrying out its duties during this challenging and sensitive period that the country is undergoing. He stressed the ISF’s determination to do everything necessary to maintain security, promote peace and stability, and provide distinguished police services, while upholding human rights and protecting freedoms within the framework of the law. He also highlighted the ISF’s key missions, including supporting the Lebanese Army in the South Litani area and beyond, combating terrorism and drying up its sources of funding, as well as addressing transnational organized crime. He emphasized the need to focus both human and material resources on these priorities due to their negative impact on domestic social security and Lebanon’s relations with its surrounding region and international partners. Major General Abdullah also called on participants to provide technical, logistical, and operational support to enhance the ISF’s ability to effectively carry out its mandated tasks. He emphasized the importance of coordinating donation initiatives based on the ISF’s strategic vision, priorities, and essential operational needs, through the ISF’s Aid Coordination Unit, which serves as a central platform for streamlining efforts, avoiding duplication, and ensuring alignment with the institution’s strategic objectives. In conclusion, a discussion was held between the Director General and the participants, addressing the topics, plans, and ISF priorities presented during the meeting.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: The Information Division of the Internal Security Forces obtained intelligence regarding an unidentified individual involved in drug trafficking in areas within the Keserwan District. As a result, specialized units from the Division initiated field and intelligence operations. Through investigations and surveillance, they were able to identify the suspect, who turned out to be: M. Y. (born in 2002, Syrian national) On September 16, 2025, after thorough monitoring and surveillance, a patrol from the Division successfully arrested him in the act while he was distributing drugs in Aaqibe, riding an orange V150 motorcycle, which was seized. Upon searching him and the motorcycle, authorities confiscated: 28 plastic capsules containing cocaine and crack cocaine A cannabis joint The suspect confessed to distributing drugs to a large number of individuals in various areas of Keserwan. Legal procedures were carried out against the detainee, and he, along with the seized items, was handed over to the competent judicial authority, in accordance with the judge's instructions.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat all forms of crime, the Bureau for the Protection of Morals and Human Trafficking in the Judicial Police Unit received information about acts of prostitution taking place inside a massage center located in the Jounieh area, where several women were being exploited for this purpose. On 02-10-2025, and as a result of intensive investigations and surveillance carried out by the Bureau’s officers, a unit raided the location and caught four women of different nationalities in the act, while engaging in immoral acts with clients inside the massage rooms. During interrogation, the women confessed to performing these acts based on prior agreements with clients in exchange for sums of money. The center was sealed with red wax, legal action was taken against the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the other individuals involved.

issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the units of the Internal Security Forces to pursue all types of crimes across various regions and to arrest the perpetrators, On 01-10-2025, and as a result of investigations and surveillance operations conducted by the Bekaa Intelligence Unit in the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, one of its patrols successfully carried out a quality operation in the town of Niha, which led to the arrest of one wanted individual, identified as: T. R. (born in 1971, Lebanese)He is wanted by the judiciary for the crime of theft. In a related context, on 07-10-2025, a force from the same unit conducted a security operation in the town of Riyaq and arrested another wanted individual, identified as: R. M. (born in 1997, Lebanese)He is also wanted by the judiciary for the crime of theft. The detainees were handed over to the relevant units to take the necessary legal actions against them, under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
