Sponsored and on the presence of the Director General of the ISF, Major General Imad Osman, and the Ambassador of the European Union in Lebanon, Mrs. Sandra De Waele, and the Ambassador of Spain, Mr. Jesus Santos Aguado , there was, on the 3rd of September 2024, the inauguration of Zouheir Joudi building in Jimayzeh , that we have started the opiningand modernization works , in the framework of enhancing the concepts of community policing by means of the EU financing , further its destruction by the Beirut port explosion on 4th of August 2020. And this building comprises the commandment of the third Territorial Company of Beirut, and the two police stations of Al Jimayzeh and Al Nahr.
And were present in this ceremony, the Muhafez of Beirut, the Magistrate Marwan Abboud, the Coordinator of the Project of Enhancing the Community Policing , Mrs. Consuelo Navaro , a Representative of the French Embassy , Mr. Oscar Luba, a liaison Officer in the Embassy of Spain Mr. Antonio Bernabeu , the Commander in Chief of the ISF Institute, the Administrative General Bilal Al Hajjar, the Commander of the Police of Beirut by proxy, General Ahmad Abla, the head of the Public Relations Department, General Joseph Moussallem, the Commander of the Third Territorial Company of Beirut, General Ahmad Hamdan and a number of officers.
And further unveiling the commemorative plate in the entry of the building, and also after cutting the ribbon of inauguration, by Major General Imad Osman, and the two Ambassadors De Waele and Aguado, Mrs Navaro has expressed her beatitude for the end of the restoration works related to the building, and its readiness to play its role in the heart of the capital Beirut.
From his side, Major General Imad Osman, has thanked all the project responsible and especially the EU represented by the Ambassador De Waele, and he highlighted the big role of the EU who shared to enhance the security, and the safety, also the service of the Lebanese citizen.
Further one, the audience has made a roundup in the sections of the building and have inspected the offices, the investigation’s rooms, the detention and arrest centers that respect the criteria of the human rights.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to combat theft and fraud across Lebanon, the Information Branch obtained information about an unidentified individual selling fake gold jewelry in various areas of Mount Lebanon, particularly in the Metn region. Following this information, the Branch’s specialized units intensified their field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the suspect. Investigations led to his identification as: M. Kh. (born in 2003, Syrian national). On 10 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, a Branch patrol caught him red-handed in Nahr el-Mot while he was selling a quantity of fake gold jewelry to an individual for US$10,000. The suspect was accompanied by another individual, who fled with the money to an unknown location. Officers also seized 108 fake gold bracelets. During questioning, the suspect admitted to the allegations against him. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority pursuant to judicial instructions. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the second individual involved.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – Jounieh On 30 August 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., a running race will take place in Jounieh. The following traffic measures will be implemented: Traffic coming from Maameltein toward the KFC roundabout will be diverted uphill toward the Stadium Bridge – highway. Traffic heading downhill toward the souk will be diverted uphill toward Abou Ter. Traffic heading toward Chir – Malak Al Tawouk will be diverted toward the Zouk power plant. Traffic heading toward Notre Dame du Liban Hospital will be diverted uphill toward Sarba – highway. Traffic at the roundabout at the entrance to the Jounieh Serail will be diverted toward the Civil Defense – Sarba Bridge – highway. Second – Nahr el-Mot and Baabdat On 30 August 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the Lebanese Cycling Federation will organize the 2026 Zadorian Brothers Cup on the Metn Expressway between Nahr el-Mot and Baabdat, with the finish line at the Broummana intersection. The route will be closed to traffic from 6:30 a.m. until the race is over. Citizens are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the traffic signs installed at the aforementioned locations to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 27 July 2026, a Syrian national reported that two unidentified individuals had entered his home in the Saadiyat area and stolen a safe containing approximately US$8,000. The competent Internal Security Forces units immediately launched field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the two individuals involved in the theft. Following investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch succeeded in identifying them as: A. M. (born in 2003, Syrian national); W. R. (born in 2003, Syrian national). On 13 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, Branch patrols arrested the two suspects simultaneously in the Ouzai and Tayouneh areas. A search of the suspects resulted in the seizure of a sum of money, two mobile phones, a utility knife, a silver-colored chain, and a bracelet. During questioning, the first suspect admitted to carrying out the theft at the second suspect’s request, while the latter also admitted to the allegations against him. The necessary legal measures were taken against both suspects, and they were referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority pursuant to judicial instructions.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: A contracting company will carry out road rehabilitation and paving works along the road extending from the Al-Marامل downhill section, at the Al-Mahdi Schools intersection, toward Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport. The first phase of the project will involve milling the existing asphalt layer on Saturday and Sunday, 29 and 30 August 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The works will begin at the Al-Mahdi Schools Bridge and proceed toward the intersection leading to Al-Ahed Stadium. The road will remain open to traffic, as work will be carried out on one lane only. Citizens are kindly requested to take note and comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the traffic signs installed at the site, in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.
