In less than 10 hours, the Information Branch uncovers the circumstances of a young man’s murder in Naba’a and arrests the killer

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued

the following statement:

On the night of 03/12/2025, a man in his twenties, whose identity was initially unknown, was transported from the Nabaâ area to a hospital after sustaining multiple stab wounds to the chest, which led to his immediate death. Following the forensic examination, it was determined that the death resulted from eight stab wounds inflicted with a sharp object.

Subsequently, the identity of the victim was established as:
A. Y. (born in 2006, Syrian national).

Accordingly, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces initiated the necessary procedures to uncover the circumstances of the crime, identify the perpetrator, and arrest him.

As a result of intensive investigations, the Information Branch was able, within a short period of time, to identify the perpetrator, who was found to be:
M. G. (born in 1996, Lebanese).

On 04/12/2025, following a precise tracking and surveillance operation that lasted less than ten hours, one of the Branch’s patrols succeeded in arresting him in the Nabaâ area while he was riding a black motorcycle without license plates.

During the search, a kitchen knife, two mobile phones, one round of ammunition, as well as the mobile phone belonging to the victim were seized in his possession.

During interrogation, he confessed to the acts attributed to him, stating that he had stabbed the victim eight times with a knife following an immediate personal dispute between them, noting that they were residing in the same residence. He also admitted to stealing the victim’s mobile phone and motorcycle.

The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority

Information Branch raid in Bar Elias: tons of spoiled and expired food seized from a warehouse, sealed with red wax

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Information was received by the Information Branch regarding unidentified individuals selling spoiled and expired food products stored inside a warehouse in the Bekaa region. Accordingly, the Branch’s specialized units initiated field and intelligence measures to locate the warehouse, which was found to be situated in the town of Bar Elias and operated by two Syrian nationals: M. H. (born in 1996) A. H. (born in 2001) Orders were given to raid the warehouse and arrest those involved, in coordination with the judiciary. On 15/12/2025, following continuous surveillance of the aforementioned warehouse, a force from the Branch carried out a swift raid, arrested the two aforementioned suspects, and seized several tons of expired food products (flour, nuts, children’s sweets, various spices, tomato paste, and other items). A machine used to falsify expiration dates on spoiled or expired products was also confiscated. The detainees and the seized goods were handed over to a patrol from the Customs Police, and the warehouse was sealed with red wax pending inspection by representatives of the Ministries of Health and Economy.

Arrest of a counterfeit currency dealer and another suspect for cutting mature trees by the South Investigation Unit

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the units of the Internal Security Forces to pursue individuals involved in various types of crimes and apprehend their perpetrators, information was received by the South Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit regarding an individual circulating counterfeit US currency in the denomination of USD 100 at commercial shops in the town of Ain Qenia – Hasbaya. Following the investigations and inquiries conducted by the detachment’s personnel, his whereabouts were identified. One of the patrols tracked him down, arrested him, and seized in his possession an amount of USD 500 in counterfeit currency. He is identified as: S. G. (born in 2008, Lebanese). In a related context, Information was also received by the detachment regarding an individual cutting mature eucalyptus trees along the Litani River, on public property within the jurisdiction of the town of Arzi. Following surveillance, a patrol from the South Investigation Detachment apprehended him in flagrante delicto while he was attempting to cut the trees in the aforementioned town. He is identified as: W. A. (born in 1994, Lebanese). Upon searching a site belonging to him in the same area, a quantity of eucalyptus trees cut into small sections was found and seized. A series of arrests of wanted individuals for various crimes were carried out by the Bekaa Investigation Unit.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: 1- As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to enhance security and apprehend those wanted by the law, and as a result of meticulous investigations and inquiries, the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit arrested two individuals wanted by the judiciary in the town of Saadnayel, Bekaa, on December 4 and 10, 2025. They are: - B.H. (born in 1992, Lebanese), wanted on an arrest warrant for drug use. - T.A. (born in 2004, Syrian), wanted on an arrest warrant for drug trafficking and distribution. 2- Furthermore, as a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, on December 13, 2025, members of the detachment were able to arrest two individuals wanted by the judiciary in the town of Dalhamiya, Zahle. They are: - H.A. (born in 1996, Lebanese), wanted on an arrest warrant for kidnapping. - M.A. (born in 1995, Lebanese) Ninety narcotic pills, eight grams of hashish, two rolling papers, and two mobile phones were found in their possession. 3- On December 16, 2025, a patrol from the aforementioned detachment arrested a person in the town of Ablah, named: W.H. (Born in 1973, Lebanese), he is wanted by the judiciary on an arrest warrant issued in absentia for drug trafficking. The detainees were handed over to the relevant units to take the necessary legal action against them, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The International Theft Crimes Bureau has arrested three individuals for fraudulently stealing cars and selling them after forging their documents. Were you a victim of their scheme?

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the daily monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crime and apprehend perpetrators, the International Theft Crimes Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit received information about individuals forming a gang to rent cars, forge their documents, and sell them. After carrying out more than 12 operations, they fled outside Lebanese territory. As a result of investigations and inquiries conducted by the aforementioned bureau, all members of the gang were identified. Information was also obtained indicating their intention to enter Lebanon clandestinely via the Lebanese-Syrian border to continue their criminal activities. Through diligent follow-up, the bureau was able to arrest them in two separate operations in Arida and Dbayeh. They are: – H.A. (Born in 1994, Lebanese national) He has a prior record of forgery and was found in possession of forged Lebanese identity cards, driver's licenses, vehicle salvage certificates, and vehicle registration documents. – Sh. H. (Born in 1991, Iraqi national) She is the first man's wife and is involved with him in car rental operations. – Y. S. (Born in 1978, Lebanese national), known as "Da'i Karam," has a prior record of forgery, fraud, harassment and extortion of girls, and theft of jewelry. He was found in possession of a forged vehicle registration document and a piece of counterfeit gold. During questioning, they confessed to forming a gang that rented vehicles from car rental agencies, then forged their documents with a wanted individual (who is currently being sought by authorities) before selling them. Therefore, based on instructions from the competent judicial authority, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is circulating their photographs and requesting that anyone who has fallen victim to their crimes and recognizes them come to the International Theft Crimes Bureau, located in the Colonel Martyr Joseph Daher Barracks on Camille Chamoun Boulevard, or call one of the following numbers: 01-292724 or 01-289000, in order to take the necessary legal measures.
