A person wanted for human trafficking, involved in the kidnapping of young men and demanding ransom from their families, was arrested by the Information Branch in a well-planned ambush in the town of Bbneen.

The Directorate General of the ISF, Public Relations Department, has published the following notification:

In the framework of the daily following up work carried out by the ISF, in order to pursue the wanted persons by the authorities, all over the Lebanese regions, specialized units have intensified their field efforts with the aim of localize and arrest them.

Further intensive investigations and inquiries, the Information Department has succeeded to localize one of them, and he is wanted by virtue of a warrant of arrest, for crime of traffic of persons, and he is named:

Also, it appears that he is a member of a gang that has kidnapped young men from the region of Bib nine further convincing them about the possibility of their smuggling in an illegal way across the sea, in order to demand further one a ransom from their parents in exchange of their liberation.

On 28-11-2024, and further a delicate tracking and control operation, one of the Department patrols has succeeded to arrest him by means of a well confiscated ambush.

We have taken the right legal measures against him, and he has been conducted to the concerned authorities upon its request.

Traffic measures for trucks and buses at the Faitroun roundabout as of 08/02/2026 and throughout the ski season.

A half marathon running race on the Selaata–Byblos route on 08/02/2026.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement was released: On 8/2/2026, the Beirut Marathon Association will organize a rolling race consisting of a half marathon (21.1 km) and a relay race composed of four female runners and two male runners. The race will start from the town of Selaata and end at the Port of Byblos. The road will be closed from Selaata Stadium along the coastal road route up to the Port of Byblos, starting at 5:00 a.m. until the end of the event. Citizens are kindly requested to take note of this announcement and to comply with the directions and instructions of the Internal Security Forces personnel and the traffic guidance signs, in order to ensure public safety and prevent congestion.

The Information Division raid in Wadi Al-Rayhan results in the arrest of a wanted individual sought under 10 judicial warrants for murder, theft, and weapons-related crimes.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division – The following communiqué: Within the framework of the ongoing follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue and arrest individuals wanted by the judiciary in various Lebanese regions, information became available to the The Information Division regarding the presence of an individual in the locality of Wadi Al-Rayhan – Akkar, after his reputation spread in the town and surrounding areas for committing thefts, firing gunshots, instigating disturbances, and assaulting civilians. He is identified as: N. T. (born in 1989, Lebanese), against whom /9/ arrest warrants have been issued for crimes of murder, attempted murder, theft, and a summary judgment for weapons-related offenses. On 3-2-2026, following a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the Branch’s patrols succeeded in arresting him in a swift operation in the aforementioned locality. Brigadier General Moussa Karnib honors First Sergeant Nadia Nasser for caring for an infant at the airport after the child’s mother was transferred to a hospital due to a health emergency.

Based on the directives of the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdallah, the Commander of the Embassy, Administrations and Public Institutions Security Unit, Brigadier General Moussa Karnib, honored one of the Airport Inspection Unit’s non-commissioned officers, First Sergeant Nadia Nasser, in the presence of the Commander of the Airport Inspection Platoon, Colonel Ali Hamoush. On 02/02/2026, First Sergeant Nasser took the initiative to care for an infant girl after the child’s mother lost consciousness within the premises of Rafic Hariri International Airport, where she was transferred to a hospital to receive treatment. Several social media platforms circulated photos of the aforementioned First Sergeant while she was caring for the infant. It is worth noting that the infant remained under the care of First Sergeant Nasser throughout the entire period during which the mother stayed in the hospital, until she regained consciousness and became able to care for her daughter once again. Brigadier General Karnib, on behalf of the Director General, praised the humanitarian initiative undertaken by First Sergeant Nasser, commended her dedication and humanitarian spirit, and presented her with a “written commendation from the Unit Commander” as a token of appreciation and gratitude for this honorable ethical and humanitarian conduct.
