A person wanted for human trafficking, involved in the kidnapping of young men and demanding ransom from their families, was arrested by the Information Branch in a well-planned ambush in the town of Bbneen.

The Directorate General of the ISF, Public Relations Department, has published the following notification:

In the framework of the daily following up work carried out by the ISF, in order to pursue the wanted persons by the authorities, all over the Lebanese regions, specialized units have intensified their field efforts with the aim of localize and arrest them.

Further intensive investigations and inquiries, the Information Department has succeeded to localize one of them, and he is wanted by virtue of a warrant of arrest, for crime of traffic of persons, and he is named:

(B. M born on 1993, Lebanese)

Also, it appears that he is a member of a gang that has kidnapped young men from the region of Bib nine further convincing them about the possibility of their smuggling in an illegal way across the sea, in order to demand further one a ransom from their parents in exchange of their liberation.

On 28-11-2024, and further a delicate tracking and control operation, one of the Department patrols has succeeded to arrest him by means of a well confiscated ambush.

We have taken the right legal measures against him, and he has been conducted to the concerned authorities upon its request.

The minor Mary Bal Al-Aaraj left and has not returned — does anyone have any information about her?

Therefore, anyone who has seen her or has any information about her or her whereabouts is requested to contact the Lehfed Police Station of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit at the following number: 09-945852, in order to provide any relevant information.

Traffic measures on the eastern lane of the highway heading from the Qartaba junction toward Jbeil, starting this evening, in order to install reflective road studs.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following: One of the contracting companies will resume the implementation of “installation of reflective road studs” works on the eastern lane of the highway extending from the Qartaba junction to Jbeil, starting from 22:00 this evening, 21-04-2026, until 05:00 the following morning, on a daily basis until 10-05-2026. These works will lead to the diversion of traffic to the coastal road, from the Nahr Ibrahim junction toward Jbeil. Citizens are kindly requested to take note and comply with the instructions and guidance of the Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as with traffic signs, in order to facilitate traffic flow.

The Information Branch uncovers a gang that deceives its victims via social media by promising travel to European countries and arrests two of its members.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces units to combat crime across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained intelligence regarding the activities of a gang whose members carry out fraud and scam operations targeting Syrian nationals. The victims are lured through fake social media accounts and misled into believing that travel to European countries can be arranged for them in exchange for sums of money. Accordingly, the competent units within the branch initiated technical and intelligence measures to uncover the gang and arrest its members. As a result of investigations and inquiries, their identities were identified, including: M.J.N. (born in 1981, Syrian) A.J.N. (born in 1998, Syrian) Orders were given to locate and arrest them in coordination with the judiciary. Following careful surveillance, one of the branch’s patrols tracked them in the Ramlet el-Baida area, where they were arrested in flagrante delicto while attempting to receive an مبلغ of five thousand US dollars from one of the victims. During interrogation, they confessed to carrying out numerous fraud and scam operations in collaboration with a third accomplice. They would lure victims through fake social media accounts, deceive them with promises of facilitating travel to European countries in exchange for payments in US dollars, then disappear after collecting the money. Legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the relevant judiciary. Efforts are ongoing to arrest their accomplice.
