The Directorate General of the ISF, Public Relations Department, has published the following notification:
On 11-11-2024, unknown persons have entered by effraction to one of the compagnies in the locality of Achrafieh -Beirut, and have stolen a safe that contains a sum of money.
Immediately, the specialized units in the ISF, have launched their measures in order to arrest the actors and to arrest them. And further a technical work and inquiries, the Information Department has succeeded to identify one of the involved persons, and he is named:
(M. M born on 1975, Lebanese)
And he has previous convictions for crimes of theft, robbery, threat, selling of stolen objects, appropriation of arms and munitions, and he is wanted by the authorities by virtue of 5 judicial warrants for robbery, effraction, composition of gangs and arms.
On the basis of the above, orders have been taken in order to localize him and to arrest him.
On 22-11-2024, and further a delicate following up work, a Special Force in the Information Department, has succeeded to arrest him in the locality of Sakiyet Al Janzir, on board of a black “Nissan “ Car , and this is the car used in the robbery operation. (it has been seized) . Also, it has arrested with him the named:

And he has also previous convictions for crimes of theft, fraud, resistance to police agents, privation of liberty, beating and harassment.
We have seized inside the car gloves and discs for iron cutting.
By hearing the first one, he has confessed what it was been alleged to him, and having carried out the robbery operation with the following persons:
Also, they have confessed that they have shared the stolen sum of money between them, and they have tracked the company before having execute the operation.
And by hearing the second one, (F. K ), he has confessed having moved with the first one to the locality of Achrafieh , one board of a black “Nissan “ car , with the aim of tracking and control.
On 23-11-2024, the Special Force in the a/m Department has arrested the two Syrians in the locality of Sin El Fil, and they have confessed having participated in the robbery operation.
We have taken the legal measures against them, and they have been conducted to the concerned authorities.
Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue perpetrators of all types of crimes across the various Lebanese regions and apprehend them, information was obtained regarding an unidentified individual involved in snatch theft operations in the governorates of Beirut and Mount Lebanon. Accordingly, the Information Branch intensified its field and intelligence measures. As a result of extensive investigations and inquiries, his identity was revealed as follows:H. A. (born in 1997, Lebanese national), who has a criminal record involving snatch theft, theft, robbery, and drug-related offenses. On 19/01/2026, following a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, a patrol from the aforementioned branch succeeded in arresting him in the Airport Road area while riding a black GR-type motorcycle, which was seized. A search of the suspect and the motorcycle led to the seizure of the following items: An envelope labeled ADVIL containing one pill An envelope labeled ROMIPRIL containing 22 pills A white container labeled AMOCLAN containing white pills A plastic container labeled DJGMAX containing white pills A white plastic container labeled DEPAKINE Very small white stone-like fragments Two plastic containers containing a white stone-like substance Three stolen mobile phones, leather bags and personal belongings (stolen), and a sum of money in various currencies During the investigation, he confessed to the charges attributed to him, including carrying out numerous snatch thefts of bags and mobile phones in Beirut and the following areas: the southern suburbs, Ouzai, Bir Hassan, Haret Hreik, Hay el-Sellom, Airport Road, Ghobeiry, and Mreijeh. He also admitted to discarding documents in garbage containers and spending the stolen money on personal pleasures and drug use. The detainee, the motorcycle, and the seized items were handed over to the concerned unit to carry out the required legal procedures, upon instructions from the competent judicial authority.

On the occasion of the eighteenth anniversary of the martyrdom of Major Engineer Wissam Eid and his assistant Osama Mraeb, the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, recited the Fatiha (the opening chapter of the Quran) at the tomb of the martyred Major Eid in the cemetery of the town of Deir Ammar on Sunday morning, January 25, 2026. Similarly, a delegation of Internal Security Forces officers, headed by the commander of the Zgharta Company in the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, Colonel Najib Shami, along with a delegation from the North Information Branch, headed by the branch chief, Colonel Omar Sharif, recited the Fatiha at the tomb of the martyred Major Eid and laid wreaths on behalf of the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, the Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Dr. Alfred Hanna, the head of the Information Division, Brigadier General Mahmoud Qabarsali, and the officers and personnel of the division. They also offered their condolences at the home of the martyred Major Eid's family. Also, another delegation, headed by the commander of the Bab al-Raml platoon, Major Mustafa al-Shaarani, recited the Fatiha at the shrine of the martyr adjudant Osama Muraab in the cemetery of the town of the martyr Bab al-Raml, and laid wreaths of flowers in the name of the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, in the name of the Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Dr. Alfred Hanna, in the name of the head of the Information Division, Brigadier General Mahmoud Qabarsali, and the officers and members of the division.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division: The following statement: Several thefts have recently occurred from inside cars and vans loaded with goods along the highway stretching from Zahle to Ablah. Following this, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces initiated field and investigative procedures to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. As a result of the investigations and inquiries, the Information Division was able to identify him as: - A.H. (born in 1983, Lebanese), a repeat offender with a history of theft and drug use, and against whom an arrest warrant had been issued for the same crimes. On January 19, 2026, following careful surveillance, a patrol from the division apprehended him in the town of Jalala. A search revealed he was in possession of a quantity of hashish. During interrogation, he confessed to committing more than six robberies of money from parked cars and vans, including in Zahle and Ferzol, as well as numerous burglaries. He also admitted to drug use. The detainee and the seized drugs were handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal action, as directed by the competent judicial body.

The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division: As part of the daily efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat various crimes throughout Lebanon and apprehend perpetrators, including those related to livestock smuggling into Lebanon, and as a result of investigations and inquiries conducted by the Financial Crimes and Money Laundering Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit, its officers were able, on January 7, 2026, to seize 22 head of calves and cows smuggled from Syria into Lebanon. This seizure took place in the town of Bhennin - Minieh, on a farm belonging to: - M.A. (born in 1984, Lebanese) - and his brother A.A. (born in 1991, Lebanese) Additionally, 20 head of calves and cows were seized on a livestock farm in the Dhour Bhennin area, belonging to: - A.A. (Born in 1975, Palestinian) - A.H. (Born in 1965, Lebanese) The necessary legal procedures were carried out against them, and the seized livestock was placed under judicial custody. Through follow-up investigations, the identities and locations of the cattle sellers were determined, and two of them were arrested: - M.M. (Born in 1989, Lebanese) - and his father, K.M. (Born in 1966, Lebanese) A search and investigation warrant was issued for a third seller, named: - B.M. (Born in 1975, Lebanese) Furthermore, on January 8, 2026, a patrol from the aforementioned office seized 57 dairy cows of Syrian origin in the Al-Tayro area of Choueifat. The cows were found on a farm belonging to (G.H., born in 1974, Syrian), who is currently at large. A search warrant has been issued for his arrest. A judicial custodian has been appointed for the seized cows. Based on instructions from the Financial Public Prosecutor, the Animal Resources Directorate at the Ministry of Agriculture was tasked with dispatching a veterinarian to examine the seized livestock and issue a medical report detailing their health status, upon which further action will be taken. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
