A gang carried out a robbery and stole a safe from a company in Ashrafieh. However, the Information Branch quickly uncovered the identities of the suspects and arrested them. Thanks to their swift efforts, the stolen items were recovered, and justice was served.

The Directorate General of the ISF, Public Relations Department, has published the following notification:

On 11-11-2024, unknown persons have entered by effraction to one of the compagnies in the locality of Achrafieh -Beirut, and have stolen a safe that contains a sum of money.

Immediately, the specialized units in the ISF, have launched their measures in order to arrest the actors and to arrest them. And further a technical work and inquiries, the Information Department has succeeded to identify one of the involved persons, and he is named:

(M. M born on 1975, Lebanese)

And he has previous convictions for crimes of theft, robbery, threat, selling of stolen objects, appropriation of arms and munitions, and he is wanted by the authorities by virtue of 5 judicial warrants for robbery, effraction, composition of gangs and arms.

On the basis of the above, orders have been taken in order to localize him and to arrest him.

On 22-11-2024, and further a delicate following up work, a Special Force in the Information Department, has succeeded to arrest him in the locality of Sakiyet Al Janzir, on board of a black “Nissan “ Car , and this is the car used in the robbery operation. (it has been seized) . Also, it has arrested with him the named:

And he has also previous convictions for crimes of theft, fraud, resistance to police agents, privation of liberty, beating and harassment.

We have seized inside the car gloves and discs for iron cutting.

By hearing the first one, he has confessed what it was been alleged to him, and having carried out the robbery operation with the following persons:

  1. AA born on 2005, Syrian)

Also, they have confessed that they have shared the stolen sum of money between them, and they have tracked the company before having execute the operation.

And by hearing the second one, (F. K ), he has confessed having moved with the first one to the locality of Achrafieh  , one board of a black “Nissan “ car , with the aim of tracking and control.

On 23-11-2024, the Special Force in the a/m Department has arrested the two Syrians in the locality of Sin El Fil, and they have confessed having participated in the robbery operation.

We have taken the legal measures against them, and they have been conducted to the concerned authorities.

Caught in the act, two drug dealers were arrested by the Information Branch—one in Dekouaneh and the other in Bourj Hammoud—with various narcotic substances seized.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces' ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking across Lebanon, the Information Branch obtained intelligence indicating that an unidentified individual was dealing narcotic drugs in the Mount Lebanon Governorate, particularly in the Metn area. Based on this information, the competent units within the Information Branch were instructed to carry out field operations and investigative measures to identify and apprehend the dealer. The investigations identified him as: A.A.J. (born in 2004, Syrian). On 4 July 2026, following close surveillance, an Information Branch patrol arrested him in the act while he was selling narcotics in Bourj Hammoud. A search of the suspect resulted in the seizure of: 4 plastic caps containing cocaine base; one mobile phone; an amount of cash. In a separate operation, on 29 June 2026, an Information Branch patrol arrested another suspect in the act while he was dealing narcotics in Dekouaneh aboard a blue Landy motorcycle, which was seized. He was identified as: M.Z. (born in 2008, Lebanese). A search of the suspect and the motorcycle resulted in the seizure of: one military handgun with an empty magazine; 24 plastic caps containing cocaine; 9 bags, each containing a plastic cap filled with cocaine; 9 bags, each containing a small plastic cap filled with cocaine base; 3 bags, each containing a plastic cap marked "A" and filled with cocaine base; 11 bags, each containing a paper envelope filled with cocaine; 7 bags containing cannabis; two mobile phones; an amount of cash. During questioning, both suspects confessed to the offenses attributed to them. The necessary legal measures were taken against both suspects, and they, together with the seized items, were referred to the competent judicial authority pursuant to the instructions of the competent prosecutor.

Following close surveillance, the Information Branch arrested a murder suspect in Hay El Sellom and seized a military firearm in his possession.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces' ongoing efforts to locate and apprehend individuals wanted by the judiciary across Lebanon, the specialized units of the Information Branch, following extensive field operations and intelligence gathering, succeeded in locating a suspect wanted for the murder of a Syrian woman in Hay El Sellom on 11 October 2024. He was identified as: H.A. (born in 2002, Lebanese), who is wanted pursuant to an arrest warrant for murder and a final court judgment for unlawful discharge of a firearm. On 6 July 2026, following close surveillance, an Information Branch patrol arrested him in a carefully planned ambush in Hay El Sellom while he was riding an unregistered white motorcycle, which was seized. A search of the suspect and the motorcycle resulted in the seizure of: a military handgun with a magazine; 16 live rounds of ammunition; a handgun holster and a fabric belt; a silver-colored chain; personal identification documents belonging to his brother; a mobile phone; an amount of cash. During questioning, the suspect confessed to the offenses attributed to him. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he, together with the seized items, was referred to the competent judicial authority pursuant to the instructions of the competent prosecutor.

Beirut Traffic Company continues its traffic enforcement campaign: 1,986 motorcycles and 231 vehicles impounded, with 11,085 traffic citations issued.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety, and pursuant to a decision by the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, to intensify enforcement against traffic violations in the city of Beirut and combat illegal practices—particularly those committed by motorcycle riders—the Beirut Traffic Company, part of the Beirut Police Unit, has continued its field enforcement campaign across the capital. Through a series of fixed and temporary checkpoints, officers impounded 1,986 motorcycles and 231 vehicles found to be in violation, and issued 11,085 traffic citations during the period from 1 July to 18 July 2026. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces reaffirms its commitment to continuing the enforcement of traffic laws and urges citizens to regularize the legal status of their vehicles and comply with applicable laws and regulations in order to safeguard public safety.

Traffic Measures Tomorrow, Tuesday, on the Zouk Mosbeh Highway at the Junction Leading to the Coastal Road Due to the Installation of Raised Pavement Markers (Cat’s Eyes) and a Traffic Delineator Post.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On Tuesday, 21 July 2026, the Safe Roads Association will carry out the installation of raised pavement markers (Cat's Eyes) and a traffic delineator post at the front of the median barrier on the Zouk Mosbeh Highway, at the junction leading to the coastal road. The work will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until completion on the same day. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces urges motorists to take note of these works, comply with the instructions of the Internal Security Forces personnel assigned to the operation, and follow the posted traffic signs to help prevent traffic congestion.
