Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement: On 29/04/2026, M.D. (born in 1960, Palestinian) reported that about 10 days earlier, an unknown person had entered his home in Wadi al-Zayneh–Chouf without forced entry and stolen approximately half a kilogram of gold jewelry and around $9,000 USD. As a result, orders were given to the competent units of the Information Branch to carry out field and intelligence procedures to identify and arrest the perpetrator. Following investigations and inquiries, the branch was able within hours to identify him as: A.Z. (born in 1995, Palestinian) After surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the branch arrested him on the same date in the aforementioned area. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges, stating that on 19/04/2026 he had entered the house in Wadi al-Zayneh and stolen gold jewelry and cash. He added that he hid the stolen items in a BMW car belonging to his ex-wife, T.M. (born in 2003, Palestinian). He also stated that he sold part of the stolen gold at jewelry shops in Sidon and spent the money on personal matters. Accordingly, on the same date, a patrol from the branch arrested T.M. in Sidon and seized the vehicle. Upon searching her and the car, a quantity of gold jewelry was found. During interrogation, she confessed to what was attributed to her. Legal measures were taken against both of them, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the relevant judiciary.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: The Municipality of Beirut will carry out maintenance works on the roadway and sidewalks in the Gemmayzeh area, along the stretch extending from the Georges Haddad intersection (Chez Paul restaurant) to Saint Anthony Church. The works will commence on 01/05/2026 and will last for a period of 15 days. Accordingly, traffic will be closed in the area and diverted from Georges Haddad Street toward the Kataeb House (downhill direction), and from Borj El-Ghazal intersection (uphill direction). Citizens are kindly requested to take note and comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and traffic signage, in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 28/04/2026, information was obtained by the Beit El-Dine Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit regarding an unidentified individual who carried out a fraud and embezzlement operation through financial transfers from an office of a company specialized in money transfers in the Ghreifeh area. As a result of intensive investigations, inquiries, and cross-checking of information, the suspect’s means of transportation was identified. It was found that he had moved from the Wadi El-Zeineh area toward Syrian territory in preparation for fleeing outside Lebanon. Following surveillance and tracking by one of the unit’s patrols on the same date, his location was identified and he was arrested. He is identified as: H. N. (born in 1998, Syrian) Upon searching him, electrical tools were found in his possession, which he had stolen from a residence in the Ghreifeh area. It was also established that, prior to his arrest, he had transferred the money obtained through the fraud to his brother in Syria. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him, including fraud and the theft of electrical equipment. The necessary legal measures were taken against the detainee, who was referred to the competent authority, and the stolen items were returned to their rightful owners. Accordingly, and based on the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is circulating his photo and requests that anyone who has fallen victim to his actions or recognizes him report to the Beit El-Dine Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit in Baakline, or contact one of the following numbers: 25-300216 or 25-300187, in preparation for taking the necessary legal action.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking across various Lebanese regions, the Beirut Investigation Unit of the Beirut Police obtained information on 16/04/2026 regarding two individuals engaged in drug distribution in the Ramlet El Bayda area. Following surveillance and monitoring operations, a well-coordinated ambush was carried out in the aforementioned area, resulting in the arrest of: A.H. (born in 1995, Lebanese)S.A. (born in 2003, Lebanese) A search of the suspects led to the seizure of a black bag containing a large quantity of substances prepared for distribution, including: 511 sachets of “Salvia” 60 vials containing a white narcotic substance In the same context, and based on precise intelligence obtained by the same unit regarding the activities of an individual involved in drug distribution in the Sami Solh area: On 07/04/2026, following careful surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the unit arrested the suspect in the aforementioned area while riding a motorcycle without a registration plate. He was identified as: M.K. (born in 2004, Syrian) A search of the suspect and the motorcycle resulted in the seizure of narcotics divided and prepared for distribution, including: 80 Captagon pills (divided into four bags and ready for distribution) Two nylon bags containing cannabis (hashish) The detainees and the seized items were handed over to the competent authorities for the necessary legal proceedings, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: A contracting company has begun excavation works to extend water pipelines in the area of the Borj Abi Haidar descent, heading towards Cola, on Abdel Basset Ghandour Street, starting from 18:00 on 29-04-2026 until 18:00 on 01-05-2026. These works will not lead to road closures, and vehicles will be removed if necessary. The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crimes across various Lebanese regions, information was received by the Zahle Judicial Detachment within the Judicial Police Unit regarding a group engaged in defrauding several individuals by selling them counterfeit gold bracelets. The suspects would present these bracelets to their victims and falsely claim they were genuine. When taken to jewelry shops for verification, the suspects would, through sleight of hand and in a professional manner, swap them for genuine bracelets, then provide the victims with the counterfeit ones in exchange for money. Following investigations and inquiries conducted by the Zahle Judicial Detachment within the Judicial Police Unit, their identities were established and they were arrested. They were identified as: T. H. (born in 1995, Syrian), using the alias “Abdullah”N. A. (born in 2002, Syrian), using the alias “Fatim”B. H. The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to pursue and arrest individuals involved in drug-related crimes, and as a result of cooperation and coordination between the Central Anti-Narcotics Office within the Judicial Police Unit and the Anti-Narcotics Administration in the Syrian Arab Republic, information was received by the aforementioned office indicating that the Syrian administration had identified one of the individuals wanted by the Lebanese judiciary for drug trafficking crimes—particularly involving Captagon and cannabis (hashish)—while he was carrying out administrative procedures. He is identified as: F. F. (born in 1976, Lebanese), against whom a summary judgment, an arrest warrant, and a warrant of apprehension have been issued, all in connection with drug trafficking offenses. Accordingly, and in line with established procedures, the Syrian authorities were requested to take action to arrest him. On 19-03-2026, he was handed over by the Syrian side at the Masnaa border crossing following coordination between the office and the administration. The necessary legal measures were taken against him based on the instructions of the competent judicial authority. On a prior date, and as a result of ongoing cooperation between the Central Anti-Narcotics Office and the Anti-Narcotics Administration in Kuwait, through the Criminal Security Office at the Embassy of Kuwait and the Anti-Narcotics Administration in Syria, an international drug trafficking network was dismantled. The ringleader and his associate were arrested, and 85 kg of Captagon pills—equivalent to approximately 476,000 tablets—were seized. They had been professionally concealed among sacks of onions and were intended to be smuggled into the State of Kuwait.

She would ask her victims for a ride in their cars to another location, then steal their phones and sell them inside the Sabra camp for sums of money to purchase narcotic substances, as she is addicted to drugs. Additionally, video clips have been circulated عبر one of the online applications showing the detainee committing thefts. (born in 1986, Lebanese) Following a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the branch’s patrols arrested him in flagrante delicto in the Antelias area while he was dealing drugs from a white Toyota vehicle, which was seized. He is identified as: A. N. (born in 1996, Lebanese), who is subject to nine judicial warrants for crimes including theft, attempted murder, drug-related offenses, forming a gang, forming an association to commit felonies, resisting law enforcement officers, and violating laws and regulations. On 16/4/2026, following a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the branch’s patrols managed to arrest him in a well-planned ambush in the area. Legal procedures were carried out against him, and he was referred to the competent authority based on the instruction of the competent judiciary.

On today’s date, 27/4/2026, the Central Anti-Narcotics Office within the Judicial Police Unit destroyed quantities of seized narcotic substances stored in its warehouse, as well as in the warehouses of the Information Branch and the Mount Lebanon Public Prosecutor’s Office of Appeal. The destruction took place at a closed quarry site in the town of Bsalim – Metn, based on the instruction of the competent judiciary, and in the presence of: the Public Prosecutor of Appeal in Mount Lebanon, Judge Sami Sader; the Advocate General of Appeal in Mount Lebanon, Judge Georges Khater; the Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Brigadier General Gerard Nasr, and his assistant, Brigadier General Youssef Mekdad; the Head of the Central Anti-Narcotics Office, Colonel Dr. Ayman Mashmoushi; Colonel André Khoury, one of the officers of the Public Relations Division; Mr. Walid Oueidat from the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Cassation; Mr. Shadi Fares from the Mount Lebanon Public Prosecutor’s Office of Appeal; in addition to officers and non-commissioned officers from the Central Anti-Narcotics Office.
