Circulation of the description of a man’s body found in Barja. Does anyone have any information about him?

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: On 11-06-2026, the body of an unidentified man was found in the locality of Barja, in a state of cardiac arrest. He was homeless and had recently been frequenting the aforementioned area. His body is currently being kept in the morgue of Sidon Governmental Hospital. Description of the body: a man in his eighties, approximately 170 cm tall, of medium build, dark complexion, with short white hair and a long white beard. Therefore, and pursuant to the competent judiciary’s order, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces requests that his relatives, or anyone who has any information about him, contact the Beiteddine Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit at one of the following numbers: 25-300216 or 25-300187, in order to take the necessary legal measures, in preparation for receiving the body.

The Mount Lebanon Investigation Detachment arrests a drug dealer in Zouk Mosbeh and seizes various quantities of narcotics.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking and limit its spread, information was obtained by the Mount Lebanon Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit about an individual promoting narcotics on a motorcycle in the locality of Zouk Mosbeh. Accordingly, the detachment’s personnel intensified their investigations and inquiries. After precise surveillance and monitoring, they were able to determine the suspect’s whereabouts. As a result, one of the detachment’s patrols set up a well-planned ambush in Zouk Mosbeh, which led to the arrest of: D. A. (born in 1996, Syrian) He was arrested while riding an unregistered “Orox” motorcycle. Upon searching him and the motorcycle, a quantity of narcotics was found in his possession. During questioning, he stated that additional quantities were kept inside his residence located in Zouk Mosbeh – Adonis. Immediately, a patrol from the detachment headed to his residence, where a search was conducted and additional quantities of narcotics were seized inside the place where he was staying. The operation resulted in the seizure of: /20/ wrapped plastic containers containing crystal meth /20/ nylon packets containing a white substance /5/ nylon bags containing hashish /43/ morphine pills A sum of money and a mobile phone The detainee, along with the motorcycle and the seized items, was handed over to the competent station for the necessary legal measures, pursuant to the order of the competent judiciary.

Pursuant to the decision of the Minister of Interior… the Internal Security Forces continue to crack down on motorcycle violations in Beirut.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the campaign carried out by the Internal Security Forces to protect public safety, and to combat violations and abuses that pose a danger to citizens, and pursuant to the decision of the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmad Al Hajjar, concerning the “enhancement of measures to crack down on motorcycle violations in Beirut,” the Beirut Traffic Company of the Beirut Police Unit carried out a campaign to detect and suppress violations within the jurisdiction of its traffic detachments. The temporary and fixed checkpoints set up by the traffic detachments resulted in the impoundment of /265/ motorcycles and /65/ violating vehicles, as well as the issuance of /1225/ violation reports. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces confirms that it will continue to strictly crack down on these violations in order to preserve public safety, and calls on citizens to abide by the applicable laws and regulations.

The First President of the North Lebanon Courts inspects Tripoli Prison and reviews the conditions and needs of inmates.

As part of the follow-up on prison conditions and the review of inmates’ needs and the general conditions inside prisons, and in coordination between the Internal Security Forces and the General Chaplaincy of Prisons in Lebanon, the First President of the North Lebanon Courts, Judge Nidal Shamseddine, inspected Tripoli Prison for men and women on 23-06-2026. She was received by the Commander of the Tripoli Regional Company, Brigadier General Bahaa El Samad, the Second Assistant to the Commander of the North Lebanon Region, Colonel Ibrahim Al Rashed, and the prison warden, Lieutenant Colonel Abdel Latif Shaar, along with a number of concerned officers, the General Chaplain of Prisons in Lebanon, Father Jean Moura, and members of the General Chaplaincy of Prisons. The visit was attended by the Appellate Public Prosecutor in North Lebanon, Judge Hani Helmi Al Hajjar; the First Investigating Judge, Judge Naji Al Dahdah; the Judge of the Judicial District, Judge Nazem El Khoury; Judge Lara Kozak; and Judge Ahmad Taki El Din. The delegation also included the Acting Governor of North Lebanon, Iman Al Rafei; the District Governor of Bcharre, Ruba Chafchak; the representative of the Mufti of Tripoli, Sheikh Safwan Al Shaar; the representative of the President of the Alawite Islamic Council, Sheikh Mohammad Abdel Karim; the President of the Orthodox Association for the Care of Prisoners, Father Basilius Debs; the Secretary of the Prison Communication Committee, attorney Bernadette Dib; and attorneys Youssef Douaihy, May Haddad, Elie Bitar, and Badawi El Sabeh Douaihy. During the visit, the attendees toured the prison sections and reviewed the conditions and needs of the inmates. At the end, commemorative photos were taken on the occasion.

The Information Branch arrests a suspect involved in forging a property title deed in Halat and attempting to sell it without the owner’s knowledge.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crimes, particularly forgery crimes across various Lebanese regions, and to arrest their perpetrators, information was obtained by the Information Branch about an unidentified person forging real estate documents with the aim of selling a property in the locality of Halat – Jbeil. As a result of investigations and inquiries, the person who was processing the property ownership transfer request at the real estate departments was arrested, and the forged document was seized in his possession. He was identified as: Sh. H. (born in 1987, Lebanese) During the investigation, he stated that he had fallen victim to fraud by the individual identified as: J. Gh. (born in 1982, Lebanese), who has a criminal record for forgery offenses. Further follow-up revealed that the property deed had also been forged through the use of a fake identity in the name of the property owner, and that the ownership had first been transferred to J. Gh., and then to Sh. H., noting that the property owner had not sold the property. After a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the Branch’s patrols arrested J. Gh. in Jbeil while he was in his vehicle, which was seized. Upon searching him and the vehicle, a sum of money was found in his possession. During the investigation, he confessed to the charges against him, namely that he, in coordination with another person with a criminal record for forgery and fraud offenses, had forged the identity of the property owner and the title deed without her knowledge, and then sold the property to Sh. H. When the latter attempted to register the property at the real estate departments, it was revealed that the deed was invalid. The necessary legal measures were taken against J. Gh., and he was referred, along with the seized items, to the competent authority, pursuant to the order of the competent judiciary. Efforts are ongoing to arrest his accomplice.

He was driving around Iqlim El Kharroub in a car containing military-grade weapons, and the Information Branch arrested him in a well-planned ambush.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crimes across various Lebanese regions, and to pursue and arrest their perpetrators, information was obtained by the Information Branch about an unidentified person driving around in a four-wheel-drive vehicle in the Iqlim El Kharroub area while in possession of military-grade weapons, causing fear and concern among citizens. As a result, orders were given to the Branch’s specialized units to carry out field and intelligence measures to identify and arrest the driver. Following intensive investigations and inquiries, the Branch’s personnel identified him as: M. A. D. (born in 1994, Lebanese) On 12-06-2026, after a precise surveillance operation, one of the Branch’s patrols spotted him in a four-wheel-drive vehicle in the locality of Bsaba, where an ambush was set up and he was arrested. The vehicle was also seized. Upon searching him and the vehicle, the following items were found: A Kalashnikov rifle with four magazines, /120/ rounds of ammunition for a military pistol, and a magazine containing /8/ rounds Two hand grenades, a knife, and a quantity of hashish A small container holding approximately /0.25/ g of cocaine, cigarette rolling papers, and two envelopes of dried mushrooms A laptop, /4/ mobile phones, and other items The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, along with the seized items, to the competent unit, pursuant to the order of the competent judiciary.

Circulation of the photo of a detainee who deceived his victims by claiming he could rent out cars and chalets through social media platforms. Has anyone fallen victim to his acts?

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: Pursuant to the order of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces circulates the photo of: M. B. (born in 1996, Lebanese) who was arrested for fraud and scam offenses, after he had been posting advertisements on social media platforms claiming to rent out cars and chalets. Once an agreement was reached with the victims, he would ask them to send a deposit through a money transfer office. After receiving the money transfer, he would stop answering the victims’ calls. Therefore, the General Directorate requests those who have fallen victim to him to contact the Baabda Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit at one of the following numbers: 05-921115 or 05-922173, in order to take the necessary legal measures against him.

Traffic measures due to maintenance works on the Amioun–Chekka highway.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: A company commissioned by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport will carry out milling and repaving works on the western lane of the Amioun–Chekka international highway, starting after the tunnel and reaching the Mseilha Bridge. The works will take place daily from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., starting on 23-6-2026 and continuing until 7-7-2026. Accordingly, the aforementioned lane of the highway will be narrowed, and traffic will be restricted on one or two lanes only throughout the duration of the works. Citizens are kindly requested to take note, comply with the instructions and guidance of Internal Security Forces personnel, and abide by traffic signs, in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.

(born in 1994) for theft, and during the investigation conducted by the Zgharta Police Station of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, he confessed to stealing from several houses in the town of Kfarzeina – Zgharta. Pursuant to the competent judiciary’s order, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces circulates his photo and asks those whose houses were burglarized and who recognize him to go to the Zgharta Police Station or contact the station at 06-660015, in order to take the necessary legal measures.

He stole from inside vehicles after breaking their windows in areas of Mount Lebanon, and the Information Branch arrested him.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following communiqué was issued: As part of the daily efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat theft operations across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained information regarding an unidentified individual carrying out thefts from inside vehicles after breaking their windows in several areas of Mount Lebanon. These included the theft of a bag from inside a vehicle in Dbayeh and another theft in the Zouk Mosbeh area, using a Nissan vehicle of unknown additional specifications. Consequently, the specialized units of the Branch launched field and intelligence operations to identify and arrest the perpetrator. Following investigations and inquiries, one individual was suspected and identified as: A. S. (born in 1983, Lebanese), with prior criminal records. On 10-06-2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the Branch arrested him while he was aboard his black Nissan Tiida in the Nabaa area. A search of the suspect and the vehicle led to the seizure of screwdrivers and a mobile phone. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him, admitting that he had carried out thefts from inside vehicles, in addition to committing fraud and deception offenses. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, along with the seized items, to the competent authority pursuant to the instructions of the judiciary.
