On 22/05/2026, a workshop on the concept of community policing was inaugurated at the Jounieh Municipality building, with the participation of the Internal Security Forces, the Keserwan Federation of Municipalities, and the coastal municipalities, in coordination with “Siren Associates.” The workshop aimed to strengthen cooperation and coordination between security agencies, municipal police, and citizens, thereby contributing to the development of joint security work, enhancing preventive security, and reinforcing effective partnerships to preserve security and stability within cities and towns.
On this occasion, the Commander of the Mount Lebanon Region in the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, Brigadier General Abdo Khalil, representing the Director General of the Internal Security Forces Major General Raed Abdallah, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of continuous cooperation and coordination between security agencies and local authorities. He stressed that security work is based on service, trust, and partnership, and that ongoing communication between the Internal Security Forces and municipalities enhances preventive and proactive security and contributes to achieving the desired positive outcomes.
For his part, the President of the Keserwan and Ftouh Federation of Municipalities, Mr. Elie Baaino, affirmed that security is not merely an organizational measure but rather the fundamental pillar of community stability. He emphasized that integration between municipal police and the Internal Security Forces creates a genuine safety network for society based on rapid response, information sharing, and teamwork. He considered security a shared responsibility and noted that sincere cooperation remains the shortest path toward a safer, more stable, and prosperous society.
In turn, the Mayor of Jounieh, Mr. Fayçal Frem, highlighted the importance of launching the workshop on community policing, which strengthens cooperation between the Internal Security Forces, municipal police, and citizens, with the aim of consolidating a genuine partnership to preserve security, enhance stability, and serve citizens.
Following the opening session, a workshop was held between officers of the Jounieh Company units, led by Company Commander Colonel Charbel Habib, and municipal police commissioners from the nine participating coastal municipalities. The session focused on discussing the mechanisms for implementing the concept of community policing, explaining its objectives, foundations, and role in enhancing cooperation between the Internal Security Forces, municipalities, and society.
An exceptional concert entitled “Peace for Lebanon” was held at the Cathedral of Saints Gregory and Elias for Armenian Catholics – Debbas Square in downtown Beirut, under the patronage and in the presence of His Beatitude Patriarch Raphaël Bedros XXI Minassian, Patriarch of the Armenian Catholics. Brigadier General Doctor El Fard Hanna, Chief of Staff of the Internal Security Forces, represented the Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Hajjar and the Director General of the Internal Security Forces Major General Raed Abdallah at the event, which was attended by ministerial, parliamentary, political, judicial, military, and media figures, in addition to more than 500 guests. The concert was performed by the Internal Security Forces Band under the direction of Colonel Antoine Touma, with the participation of elite opera singers and professional performers, accompanied by the Mar Elias – Ballouneh Choir. The program featured a selection of Lebanese national musical pieces by the Rahbani Brothers, Zaki Nassif, and Majida El Roumi, in addition to renowned international and Armenian musical works performed in more than six languages. Over the course of seventy minutes of refined music and distinguished performance, the Internal Security Forces Band reaffirmed its high artistic and cultural presence despite various challenges and circumstances, carrying a message of life and peace… for Lebanon.

As part of strengthening the principles of community policing and the ongoing cooperation between the Internal Security Forces and civil society, and upon the invitation of the “Al-Jawahir Al-Hassan Association in the Service of Humanity,” the Internal Security Forces participated in a sports event organized in the Al-Damm and Al-Faraz area in Tripoli on 03-05-2026, under the title “Run For Lebanon.” This event, which was organized with the support of several leading institutions and companies in the North, included artistic, sports, and recreational activities, prize distribution, and a 5 km running race, with the participation of nearly 1,000 male and female participants from various age groups, including school pupils, university students, civil society associations, sports and cultural clubs, as well as participants from the Orders of Engineers, Doctors, and Lawyers. The presence of the Internal Security Forces was represented by the participation of a number of female officers, who took part in line with the event’s objective “We run for Lebanon,” aiming to spread a meaningful and strong message against domestic violence, and as a step toward raising awareness among the components of Lebanese society to reduce various forms of violence-related crimes, and to encourage reporting such cases through the hotline 1745, with the goal of breaking the barrier of silence and strengthening citizens’ trust in the Internal Security Forces. This initiative was widely welcomed and appreciated by participants of all ages. This event combined a family-friendly atmosphere with purposeful sports activities, emphasizing that sports are a way of life and an investment in both mind and spirit, and that they promote the values of discipline and cooperation among different segments of society.

The Internal Security Forces participated in the annual jobs and careers exhibition “Career Fair 2026,” organized by the Lebanese Canadian University (LCU) on 10-04-2026 at its campus in Aintoura – Keserwan, alongside a number of security institutions and companies. The exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of the Head of the Security Media Branch at the Public Relations Division, Major Mark El Ahmar, representing the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdallah, in addition to representatives of participating security institutions and companies, as well as a large number of students and interested attendees. The Internal Security Forces set up a dedicated booth at the exhibition, which witnessed significant turnout from students and participants. Specialized personnel provided explanations about the missions and activities of the General Directorate, the available career fields, as well as recruitment and enlistment procedures. Copies of the magazines “Al-Amn” and “Fata Al-Amn,” along with security studies and various awareness publications, were also distributed, with the aim of enhancing awareness of the role of the Internal Security Forces and strengthening engagement with the youth.
