H. (born in 1993, Syrian national). The suspect is accused of blackmailing several young women. He allegedly met them through a dating application, communicated with them via video calls, and persuaded them to send him personal photographs or obtained such images through other means. He then blackmailed them by threatening to publish the images unless they complied with his demands. Accordingly, and upon the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces is circulating his photograph and requests that any women who have fallen victim to his actions and recognize him report to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Morality Protection Bureau, or contact 01-423780, in order to facilitate the necessary legal proceedings. The General Directorate also stresses the importance of exercising caution and awareness when using social media and online platforms. It advises the public not to share inappropriate photographs or personal information with anyone, especially material that could be exploited unlawfully, in order to protect their privacy and avoid becoming victims of blackmail or exploitation. The Directorate further reminds the public that cyber extortion is a criminal offense punishable by law. Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to track down and arrest wanted persons and perpetrators of various crimes throughout Lebanon, the Baabda Judicial Detachment arrested: S. A. A. (born in 1975, Lebanese). The suspect is wanted under two arrest warrants for fraud, five apprehension warrants, two enforceable court judgments, and one wanted notice for forgery. Investigations revealed that, together with several accomplices, he forged property ownership deeds, identity cards, and powers of attorney. These forged documents were then used to execute notarized powers of attorney before public notaries, after which the properties were mortgaged to several individuals. Accordingly, and upon the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces is circulating his photograph and requests that anyone who has fallen victim to his fraudulent activities and recognizes him contact the Baabda Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit at 05-922173 to provide any relevant information and facilitate the necessary legal proceedings.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces' daily efforts to combat all forms of crime, particularly human trafficking and prostitution-related offenses, and based on information received by the Anti-Human Trafficking and Morality Protection Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit from the Saadiyat Police Station regarding immoral activities taking place inside two hotels in Jadra, Chouf, officers from the Bureau launched extensive investigations. Following these investigations, a Bureau task force raided the two hotels and arrested 18 individuals, including the owners of one of the hotels, employees, customers, and women of Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian, and Jordanian nationalities. Four women were caught in the act engaging in prostitution with several customers. Officers also seized mobile phones, cash, three Syrian identity cards, and a digital video recorder (DVR) used for the hotels' surveillance cameras. During questioning, the women admitted to engaging in prostitution inside the two hotels. The owners of one of the hotels confessed that they were aware of these activities and had rented rooms for that purpose. The women also stated that their activities had been facilitated by L. D., known as "Umm Ali," while the hotel receptionist admitted that he was aware of the activities taking place on the premises. All detainees underwent drug screening tests. Eight individuals tested positive and were subsequently referred to the Central Anti-Narcotics Bureau. Both hotels were sealed by judicial order, seven reports were filed against several of the women for illegally entering Lebanon, and five wanted notices were issued against suspects who remain at large. The seized items were handed over to the competent authority, and efforts continue to apprehend the remaining suspects in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces' daily efforts to combat vehicle theft across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch received information on July 1, 2026, that an unidentified individual was offering a Suzuki Vitara SUV, olive in color, for sale at an unusually attractive price in the Tariq El Jdideh area of Beirut. Further investigation revealed that, on the same day, a theft report had been filed for a vehicle matching the same make, model, and specifications, which had been stolen from the Achrafieh area. The Branch's specialized units immediately launched field investigations and intelligence-gathering efforts to locate the vehicle, identify the suspect, arrest him, and recover the stolen vehicle. Following extensive investigations, officers identified the suspect as: A. B. (born in 2000, Syrian national). Later that same day, following a carefully planned surveillance operation, one of the Information Branch's patrols arrested him in the Tariq El Jdideh area, recovered the stolen vehicle, and completed the operation in less than 24 hours. During questioning, the suspect confessed to stealing the vehicle earlier that same morning from the Achrafieh area. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the recovered vehicle, to the competent authority in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.
