On the occasion of Christmas, and in cooperation between the Internal Security Forces and the General Directorate of Prisons, a Christmas Mass was held at Jbeil Prison. The Mass was presided over by Bishop Michel Aoun, Maronite Bishop of Jbeil, assisted by a number of priests. Also in attendance were Captain Suleiman Mudhaffar, Commander of Jbeil Prison; Ms. Natalie Maroun, Governor of Jbeil; Ms. Rida Azar, member of the National Committee Against Torture and for Human Rights; Sister Maria Goretti, a prison director; and a number of prison staff and inmates. Bishop Aoun focused on the meaning of Christmas and its messages of hope and peace, emphasizing that a prisoner is not stripped of their humanity or rights, even while in detention. At the conclusion of the Mass, those present listened to the prisoners’ requests for solutions to the complex issues they face within the prison.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to combat various types of crime throughout Lebanon, including facilitating prostitution, and through investigations, inquiries, and patrols, a patrol from the Counter-Terrorism and Major Crimes Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit, in the Bouar area of Nahr Ibrahim, stopped a silver Daewoo belonging to an associate of a person wanted by the judiciary for facilitating prostitution. The patrol officers surrounded the vehicle and arrested its driver, identified as: – N.A. (born in 1967, Lebanese) And with him was: – R.H. (born in 1983, Syrian) He confessed that he was driving her to a client’s house, and that his job was to transport women to clients’ homes, on the orders of: – Kh.A. (Born in 1976, Lebanese), efforts are underway to apprehend him. He also confessed to the presence of four women, working in prostitution, at a chalet, where the patrol arrested them. They are of Syrian nationality: – W.Z. (born in 1999) – R.H. (born in 2000) – M.A. (born in 1988) – R.A. (born in 2003) All four were taken to the station along with the vehicle after being searched, and no contraband was found in their possession. The detainees were handed over to the relevant authorities in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial body, and efforts are continuing to apprehend the remaining individuals involved.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: 1- As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to enhance security and apprehend lawbreakers, and following investigations, the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit received information that a doctor named: – R.K. (born in 1969, Palestinian) was practicing medicine without a license, inside a clinic in the town of Bar Elias. A force from the detachment raided the aforementioned clinic, in the presence of representatives from the relevant health department, and arrested the doctor while he was examining patients. They also seized a stamp bearing his name and a prescription pad. The clinic was sealed with red wax, and the detainee, along with the seized items, was handed over to the relevant unit to take the necessary legal action against him, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority. 2- In the same context, and based on information received by the aforementioned detachment regarding an individual selling smuggled medications in the Qaa Projects area, a patrol from the detachment raided the suspect’s residence in the aforementioned area, where he was arrested. He is identified as: – A.M. (born in 1976, Lebanese). A large quantity of smuggled medications was seized during a search of his residence. The detainee and the seized items were handed over to the relevant unit for legal proceedings, as directed by the competent judicial authority.

The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the daily monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces to reduce crime in various Lebanese regions, the Information Division received information about unknown individuals committing burglaries in homes in the Iqlim al-Kharroub region, particularly in the towns of Shheem and Aanout. The Division intensified its field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the members of the burglary gang. As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, their identities were established. They are: – B. Sh. (born in 1993, Lebanese) – B. Sh. (born in 2001, Lebanese) Both have prior criminal records, and the first has an outstanding arrest warrant for theft. On November 21, 2025, following careful surveillance, a patrol from the division apprehended the two men in a targeted operation in the Zouk Mikael area. They were riding a motorcycle, which was also seized. During interrogation, they confessed to committing numerous burglaries in homes in the towns of Shahim and Aanout. They admitted to surveilling the houses, confirming they were unoccupied, and then breaking in after midnight. Among the stolen items were weapons, cash, and mobile phones, all of which they sold within the Sabra camp. The cash was spent on personal expenses. They also confessed to several failed burglary attempts. The motorcycle was impounded, and the necessary legal procedures were carried out against the two detainees. They were then handed over to the relevant authorities, as directed by the competent judicial body.

The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: On 5-12-2025, citizen N. N. (born in 1952) reported that an unknown individual entered his home in the Sad al-Bouchrieh area, impersonating an employee of the United Nations. The individual then brandished a military handgun, detained him and his wife inside the bathroom, and proceeded to steal a bag containing jewelry worth fifty thousand US dollars and a sum of four thousand US dollars in cash. Immediately, the competent units of the Internal Security Forces initiated their procedures at the scene of the incident and its surroundings. As a result of technical and intelligence follow-up, the Information division was able, within a few hours, to identify those involved in the robbery. They are: R. Y. (born in 1967, Lebanese), a relative of the complainant. H. D. (born in 1970, Lebanese). H. S. (born in 1961, Syrian), with prior convictions for theft. On 6-12-2025, following careful surveillance and monitoring, patrols from the branch succeeded in locating the aforementioned individuals and carried out simultaneous arrest operations. The first was arrested in Zalka while driving a Volkswagen vehicle; USD 3,740 and a quantity of the stolen jewelry were seized from him. The second was arrested in the Sin El-Fil area, and USD 500 was seized from him. The third was arrested in the Naba’a area while riding the motorcycle used in the theft; counterfeit banknotes, a black cap, and a plastic pistol (used in the robbery) were seized from him. During interrogation, they confessed to the charges against them, stating that they had divided the stolen cash among themselves, that the first suspect had disposed of only two pieces of jewelry by selling them to two shops in the Bourj Hammoud area, and that the money seized from him was the proceeds of the sold jewelry. They also stated that the vehicle he was driving at the time of arrest had been purchased with the stolen money. The remaining stolen jewelry was recovered from him. The seized jewelry was returned to the complainant, and the vehicle and motorcycle were judicially impounded. The necessary legal measures were taken against the detainees, who were referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On the night of 03/12/2025, a man in his twenties, whose identity was initially unknown, was transported from the Nabaâ area to a hospital after sustaining multiple stab wounds to the chest, which led to his immediate death. Following the forensic examination, it was determined that the death resulted from eight stab wounds inflicted with a sharp object. Subsequently, the identity of the victim was established as: A. Y. (born in 2006, Syrian national). Accordingly, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces initiated the necessary procedures to uncover the circumstances of the crime, identify the perpetrator, and arrest him. As a result of intensive investigations, the Information Branch was able, within a short period of time, to identify the perpetrator, who was found to be: M. G. (born in 1996, Lebanese). On 04/12/2025, following a precise tracking and surveillance operation that lasted less than ten hours, one of the Branch’s patrols succeeded in arresting him in the Nabaâ area while he was riding a black motorcycle without license plates. During the search, a kitchen knife, two mobile phones, one round of ammunition, as well as the mobile phone belonging to the victim were seized in his possession. During interrogation, he confessed to the acts attributed to him, stating that he had stabbed the victim eight times with a knife following an immediate personal dispute between them, noting that they were residing in the same residence. He also admitted to stealing the victim’s mobile phone and motorcycle. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the units of the Internal Security Forces to pursue individuals involved in various types of crimes and apprehend their perpetrators, information was received by the South Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit regarding an individual circulating counterfeit US currency in the denomination of USD 100 at commercial shops in the town of Ain Qenia – Hasbaya. Following the investigations and inquiries conducted by the detachment’s personnel, his whereabouts were identified. One of the patrols tracked him down, arrested him, and seized in his possession an amount of USD 500 in counterfeit currency. He is identified as: S. G. (born in 2008, Lebanese). In a related context, Information was also received by the detachment regarding an individual cutting mature eucalyptus trees along the Litani River, on public property within the jurisdiction of the town of Arzi. Following surveillance, a patrol from the South Investigation Detachment apprehended him in flagrante delicto while he was attempting to cut the trees in the aforementioned town. He is identified as: W. A. (born in 1994, Lebanese). Upon searching a site belonging to him in the same area, a quantity of eucalyptus trees cut into small sections was found and seized. The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Information was received by the Information Branch regarding unidentified individuals selling spoiled and expired food products stored inside a warehouse in the Bekaa region. Accordingly, the Branch’s specialized units initiated field and intelligence measures to locate the warehouse, which was found to be situated in the town of Bar Elias and operated by two Syrian nationals: M. H. (born in 1996) A. H. (born in 2001) Orders were given to raid the warehouse and arrest those involved, in coordination with the judiciary. On 15/12/2025, following continuous surveillance of the aforementioned warehouse, a force from the Branch carried out a swift raid, arrested the two aforementioned suspects, and seized several tons of expired food products (flour, nuts, children’s sweets, various spices, tomato paste, and other items). A machine used to falsify expiration dates on spoiled or expired products was also confiscated. The detainees and the seized goods were handed over to a patrol from the Customs Police, and the warehouse was sealed with red wax pending inspection by representatives of the Ministries of Health and Economy.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: 1- As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to enhance security and apprehend those wanted by the law, and as a result of meticulous investigations and inquiries, the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit arrested two individuals wanted by the judiciary in the town of Saadnayel, Bekaa, on December 4 and 10, 2025. They are: – B.H. (born in 1992, Lebanese), wanted on an arrest warrant for drug use. – T.A. (born in 2004, Syrian), wanted on an arrest warrant for drug trafficking and distribution. 2- Furthermore, as a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, on December 13, 2025, members of the detachment were able to arrest two individuals wanted by the judiciary in the town of Dalhamiya, Zahle. They are: – H.A. (born in 1996, Lebanese), wanted on an arrest warrant for kidnapping. – M.A. (born in 1995, Lebanese) Ninety narcotic pills, eight grams of hashish, two rolling papers, and two mobile phones were found in their possession. 3- On December 16, 2025, a patrol from the aforementioned detachment arrested a person in the town of Ablah, named: W.H. (Born in 1973, Lebanese), he is wanted by the judiciary on an arrest warrant issued in absentia for drug trafficking. Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the daily monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crime and apprehend perpetrators, the International Theft Crimes Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit received information about individuals forming a gang to rent cars, forge their documents, and sell them. After carrying out more than 12 operations, they fled outside Lebanese territory. As a result of investigations and inquiries conducted by the aforementioned bureau, all members of the gang were identified. Information was also obtained indicating their intention to enter Lebanon clandestinely via the Lebanese-Syrian border to continue their criminal activities. Through diligent follow-up, the bureau was able to arrest them in two separate operations in Arida and Dbayeh. They are: – H.A. (Born in 1994, Lebanese national) He has a prior record of forgery and was found in possession of forged Lebanese identity cards, driver’s licenses, vehicle salvage certificates, and vehicle registration documents. – Sh. H. (Born in 1991, Iraqi national) She is the first man’s wife and is involved with him in car rental operations. – Y. S. (Born in 1978, Lebanese national), known as “Da’i Karam,” has a prior record of forgery, fraud, harassment and extortion of girls, and theft of jewelry. He was found in possession of a forged vehicle registration document and a piece of counterfeit gold. During questioning, they confessed to forming a gang that rented vehicles from car rental agencies, then forged their documents with a wanted individual (who is currently being sought by authorities) before selling them. Therefore, based on instructions from the competent judicial authority, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is circulating their photographs and requesting that anyone who has fallen victim to their crimes and recognizes them come to the International Theft Crimes Bureau, located in the Colonel Martyr Joseph Daher Barracks on Camille Chamoun Boulevard, or call one of the following numbers: 01-292724 or 01-289000, in order to take the necessary legal measures.

The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: On November 16, 2025, unknown individuals broke into a house in the Mina neighborhood of Tripoli and stole antiques, artifacts, and ivory statues. The specialized units of the Internal Security Forces immediately launched field and investigative operations to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. As a result of these investigations, the Information Division was able, within a few hours, to identify the two perpetrators: – H. Sh. (born in 1997, Syrian national) – S. S. (Born in 1996, Syrian) On November 17 and 18, 2025, following careful surveillance, a patrol from the division apprehended them in the Al-Tall and Al-Marfa neighborhoods, respectively, and recovered some of the stolen goods from the first suspect’s residence. During interrogation, (H. Sh.) confessed to carrying out the theft in coordination with the second suspect, and admitted to selling some of the stolen antiquities and ivory statues to individuals working in this field. The second suspect confessed to participating in the planning of the theft but denied participating in its execution. As a result of the investigation, the division was able to identify the individuals who purchased the stolen items: (A.S., born in 1980, Syrian), (A.S., born in 1981, Lebanese), (M.M., born in 1992, Lebanese), (M.A., born in 1990, Lebanese), and (Z.A., born in 1993, Syrian). During questioning, they confessed to the charges against them regarding the purchase of the antiquities. All the stolen items were recovered and returned to their owners. The necessary legal procedures were carried out against the detainees, and they were referred to the relevant authorities, as directed by the competent judicial body.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Within the framework of combating motorcycle thefts carried out by the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces across various Lebanese regions, particularly within the governorates of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, and following the Information Branch’s previous arrests of several members of gangs active in this field, investigations revealed that most of them were working on behalf of: – (A. H., born in 1981, Palestinian), who is considered the mastermind behind a large number of motorcycle theft gangs. He moves between the Sabra and Ain el-Hilweh camps. He is a repeat offender with prior convictions for theft, a former inmate, and is wanted by the judiciary under thirty judicial warrants for crimes including theft, attempted murder, criminal association, firing of weapons, arms trafficking, armed robbery, and receiving stolen goods. He is regarded as a dangerous individual, constantly armed and extremely cautious in his movements. On 9 December 2025, following several weeks of surveillance, a patrol from the Branch tracked him in the Khaldeh area, where a carefully planned ambush was carried out, leading to his arrest in a high-quality operation. During interrogation, he confessed to being the mastermind behind several gangs that carried out dozens of motorcycle theft operations across various areas of Beirut and Mount Lebanon. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority upon the instructions of the competent judiciary.
