Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: At approximately 5:30 p.m. on 21/05/2026, an unidentified individual arrived on a motorcycle of unknown specifications at a pharmacy located on Old Saida Road – Hadath, under the pretext of purchasing medication. He then drew a military pistol at the employee, stole the cash register containing approximately USD 900 and ten million Lebanese pounds, and fled to an unknown destination. Furthermore, on 25/05/2026, the suspect snatched a handbag belonging to a lawyer in the Sayyad area and stole a taxi in the same area after the driver attempted to stop him following the victim’s cries for help. He is also suspected of carrying out other robbery operations. Immediately, the competent units of the Internal Security Forces launched procedures to identify and arrest the perpetrator. As a result of immediate and intensive investigations and inquiries, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Division of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit succeeded in arresting him in the Bourj El-Barajneh area. A forged civil status document was found in his possession, and he was identified as: B. M. (born in 1995, Lebanese) It was also revealed that he has a criminal record and is involved in similar operations. The detainee was handed over to the competent police station, and investigations were initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary. Therefore, and based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces circulates the photo of the detainee and requests anyone who has fallen victim to his acts and recognizes him to report to the Mount Lebanon Investigation Division or contact the number 01-292923 in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the continuous efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces units to combat crimes and arrest perpetrators throughout Lebanese territory, the Information Branch obtained information regarding an unidentified individual carrying out armed robbery operations in several areas within Mount Lebanon Governorate, after a video circulated on social media documenting him committing an armed robbery in the Bouchrieh Dam area. Accordingly, the competent units within the Branch launched field and intelligence procedures, and as a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, they succeeded in arresting him in the Hay El-Sellom area. He was identified as: B. A. (born in 1997, Lebanese) He was arrested while riding a “GR” motorcycle without license plates, which was later found to be stolen. It was also revealed that he has a criminal record involving theft, robbery, and drug-related offenses, and that six judicial warrants had been issued against him for firearm-related crimes. During interrogation, he confessed to carrying out several armed robbery operations in Mount Lebanon areas, including the aforementioned incident in the Bouchrieh Dam area, using the motorcycle on which he was arrested. He also stated that he had purchased the motorcycle from another person and had sold the pistol used in the robbery in the Shatila area. He further admitted to drug use. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he, along with the seized items, was referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of efforts to combat drug trafficking and promotion operations across Lebanese territory, and to pursue and arrest those involved, members of the Dahr El-Baidar checkpoint became suspicious, on 14/05/2026, of three individuals aboard a passenger van. They are: A. A. (born in 1994, Lebanese), found to be wanted under two arrest warrants for drug-related crimes. A. H. (born in 1993, Syrian), found to be wanted under three arrest warrants for drug-related crimes and carrying a forged Lebanese identity card. J. Z. (born in 2001, unregistered) A search conducted on them led to the seizure of 16 grams of cocaine and 10 grams of cannabis resin in the possession of the latter. The detainees and the seized items were handed over to the competent authority in order to take the necessary legal measures against them, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

His latest act involved stealing a handbag containing a mobile phone belonging to an employee from inside a hospital. Immediately, the competent units within the Branch launched field and intelligence procedures to identify and arrest the thief. As a result of investigations and inquiries, his identity was identified as: R. L. (born in 1974, Lebanese) He is known for prior offenses related to theft and drug crimes. On 13/05/2026, following precise surveillance and monitoring operations, one of the Branch’s patrols managed to arrest him in the town of Hadath. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the continuous efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces units to combat crimes and arrest perpetrators across Lebanese territory: On 14/05/2026, an unknown individual entered the residence of a citizen located in the Bouchrieh area without breaking or forcing entry, stole approximately USD 11,000 and jewelry from inside the house, then fled to an unknown destination. Immediately, the Information Division launched field and intelligence procedures to identify and arrest the perpetrator. As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, the suspect’s identity was identified within hours as: D. W. (born in 2007, Syrian) Following precise surveillance and monitoring operations, and in less than 24 hours, one of the Branch’s patrols succeeded in arresting him in the Bourj Hammoud area. A search conducted on him led to the seizure of two military pistols with three magazines and ten live rounds, in addition to a mobile phone and an amount of money. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him, admitting that he had entered the aforementioned house using a copied key that he had duplicated in preparation for carrying out the theft. He also admitted purchasing the seized pistols using part of the stolen money and paying an amount of money in order to obtain a weapons carry permit. The stolen items were recovered and returned to their owner. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he, along with the seized items, was referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: On 20/05/2026, in the Hamra area, a patrol from the Beirut Investigation Division of the Beirut Police Unit arrested: J. R. (born in 1974, Lebanese) D. R. (born in 1995, Lebanese) on suspicion of involvement in circulating counterfeit currency. A search conducted on them led to the seizure of USD 274,900 in counterfeit one-hundred-dollar bills, in addition to USD 600 in genuine currency suspected of being used for camouflage purposes. The suspects, along with the seized items, were handed over to the competent police station in order to take the necessary legal measures against them, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the daily efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat crimes across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained information regarding unknown individuals carrying out theft operations from homes and commercial stores in the Abbassiyeh area and neighboring regions, taking advantage of the displacement of residents and shop owners caused by the Israeli attacks. Accordingly, the competent units within the Branch intensified their field and intelligence efforts to identify and arrest those involved in the aforementioned thefts. As a result of investigations and inquiries, the identities of the suspects were identified, including the mastermind behind the gang: H. H. (born in 1982, Lebanese), with a criminal record in theft-related cases. On 19/05/2026, following precise surveillance and monitoring operations, one of the Branch’s patrols managed to arrest him in the city of Saida. During interrogation, he confessed to participating, alongside another individual, in numerous theft operations targeting residential homes — including luxury residences — as well as commercial stores whose owners had fled due to the Israeli attacks. These thefts took place in the towns of Abbassiyeh, Toura, Qadmous, and the Abbassiyeh junction, in addition to stealing a motorcycle in the Qadmous area. He also admitted that his accomplice was responsible for selling the stolen goods in Saida and Sabra. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the competent judiciary. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the second suspect.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: On 18/05/2026, a woman filed a complaint at the Barouk Police Station of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit claiming that her house located in the Frideis area had been burglarized by means of breaking and entering after she had been away for two days. She estimated the value of the stolen cash at approximately USD 55,000, in addition to jewelry and gold worth USD 20,000. Immediately, the competent unit launched investigations and collected evidence in coordination with the competent judiciary. It was revealed that there were contradictions between the complainant’s statement and the available evidence. When confronted with these inconsistencies, she admitted that she had filed a false report and had deliberately scattered the contents of the house before leaving it to make it appear as though it had been burglarized, in order to conceal the missing money and jewelry. Further investigations revealed that she had fallen victim to a fraud operation carried out by a Syrian woman identified as: H. A. (born in 1980), arrested in the Baakline area. The suspect had gradually withdrawn sums of money and jewelry from the victim in cooperation with: Y. Kh. (Syrian national, approximately 45 years old) who claimed to possess spiritual powers and used sorcery and witchcraft as a means to commit fraud and deception. He resides permanently outside Lebanon. It was also revealed that H. A. was responsible for luring victims and introducing them to Y. Kh. in preparation for defrauding them and stealing their money and jewelry. She would send the money to him through: S. M. (born in 1967, Lebanese), arrested on 20/05/2026 in the Masnaa area, who works in transportation between Lebanon and Syria in exchange for a commission on each amount transferred. A search of H. A.’s residence led to the discovery of a quantity of jewelry inside her house. Another quantity of jewelry was recovered from the Koura area, in addition to USD 46,000 found inside an apartment in the Choueifat area. The recovered money and jewelry were returned to their owners, while the jewelry belonging to H. A. was confiscated after it was proven that it had been purchased using proceeds from the fraud operation. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining individuals involved, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

(born in 1956, Lebanese displaced person) filed a complaint stating that while she was inside a clothing store in the Ketermaya area, two unknown women fraudulently stole gold jewelry estimated at approximately USD 80,000, in addition to USD 5,000 in cash from inside her handbag, before fleeing to an unknown destination. Immediately, the competent units of the Internal Security Forces launched field and intelligence procedures to identify and arrest the women involved in the theft. As a result of investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch succeeded in identifying them as: M. H. H. (born in 1995, Syrian Palestinian) F. J. (born in 1973, unregistered) H. A. (born in 1983, unregistered) On 05/05/2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, one of the Branch’s patrols managed to arrest them in the Sabra area. During interrogation, they confessed to carrying out the aforementioned theft and to hiding the stolen items inside the home of a relative of one of them. They also admitted committing several similar thefts in the cities of Beirut and Saida. The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.
