The following statement was released:
In light of the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing, the significant displacement toward the city of Beirut, and in order to keep roads passable, ensure public safety, and secure the movement of the Fire Brigade, ambulances, rescue vehicles, and other emergency services, members of the Internal Security Forces, in cooperation with personnel from the Beirut Municipality, will take the necessary measures to remove all vehicles parked on double lanes and on road sides that obstruct traffic.
Accordingly, citizens are kindly requested to:
Refrain from parking their cars and vehicles in the following locations: on double lanes, at tunnel entrances, and at bends, roundabouts, and intersections.
Comply with the directions and instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel deployed on the roads, as well as with the traffic signs installed for this purpose.
Head to the parking areas located in Downtown Beirut – Martyrs’ Square, opposite Al-Amin Mosque, and use them (noting that these parking spaces are free of charge).
These measures aim to facilitate traffic flow and ensure that emergency teams can reach locations quickly and safely when needed.
We thank citizens for their cooperation and understanding during these sensitive circumstances, as it contributes to ensuring road safety and serving the public interest.
Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: On 29-03-2026, two unidentified individuals threw a grenade in the area of Sin El Fil – Al-Dawamri Street, which led to its explosion, causing fear and panic among residents and resulting in severe damage to a vehicle belonging to one of the local inhabitants. Immediately, the competent units of the Internal Security Forces initiated field procedures at the scene. Follow-up investigations revealed that the perpetrators arrived in a Hyundai van. Through intensive inquiries and investigations, the Information Division identified them as: Z.M. (born in 1987, Lebanese) M.H. (born in 1994, Syrian) Both have prior records involving drug-related crimes, kidnapping, and the circulation of counterfeit currency. On 30-03-2026, after careful surveillance and monitoring, patrols from the branch arrested the first suspect in Wadi Khaled, while the second was simultaneously apprehended as he attempted to flee to Syria عبر an illegal crossing in the same area. During interrogation, both confessed to throwing the grenade in Sin El Fil without targeting a specific person, stating that they were under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the competent authority based on the instruction of the judiciary. The van used in the operation was also seized.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: Following several complaints about an individual carrying out armed robberies in multiple areas of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, the Information Division launched investigations and inquiries. As a result, the suspect was identified and arrested in the Sabra area: H.M.Sh. (born in 1990, Lebanese) During interrogation, he confessed to committing several armed robberies using a black 9 mm Turkish pistol, while riding a black motorcycle (type 7150), in the following locations: Khaldeh: robbery of a mobile phone and a sum of money. Jnah, Al-Aouini Street – near Khoury Land descent: robbery of a girl’s bag containing a mobile phone and $50. Ras El Nabaa: robbery of a sum of money. Raoucheh: robbery of a mobile phone and a girl’s wallet. He stated that he sometimes carried out the robberies alone and at other times with an accomplice identified as T.T., and that he sold the stolen items in the Sabra area to buy and consume drugs. Therefore, based on the instruction of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces is circulating his photo and requests that those who have fallen victim to his actions report to the Beirut Information Branch office at Al-Helo Barracks or call 01-307728 to take the necessary legal measures.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: Recently, several fraudulent robbery incidents occurred in the capital, Beirut, carried out by an unidentified individual impersonating a security officer. His operations targeted a number of people, whom he deceived into believing that he was a security agent assigned to pursue wanted individuals and traffickers of drugs and counterfeit currency. He would search them, and upon finding money in their possession, he would seize it and flee to an unknown destination. Following this, the competent units of the Internal Security Forces initiated procedures to identify and arrest the perpetrator. As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch identified him as: M.H. (born in 1992, Syrian national) He has more than 50 prior records for crimes including robbery, theft, impersonation of a security officer, and drug use. On 30-03-2026, after careful surveillance and monitoring, one of the branch’s patrols succeeded in arresting him in the Tallat El Khayat area of Beirut. During interrogation, he confessed to carrying out a large number of theft operations within Beirut by impersonating a security officer. Therefore, based on the instruction of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate is circulating his photo and requests that those who have fallen victim to his actions and recognize him contact the Beirut Information Branch at 01-705127, in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: On 30-03-2026, a livestock farm in the town of Minieh / Hay Al-Hakar was subjected to a burglary involving breaking and forced entry. An unidentified individual broke the farm door, the main lock of the outer fence, and the lock of the livestock enclosure, and stole five sheep valued at approximately $2,000 USD. Therefore, based on the instruction of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces is circulating the suspect’s photo and requests that anyone who has seen him or has any information about him or his whereabouts contact the Minieh police station at 06-462094 to provide any relevant information. It is noted that anyone who contributes information will have their identity kept confidential in accordance with the law.
