The photo of a suspect involved in the fraudulent sale of a house has been circulated — does anyone have any information about her or her whereabouts?

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement:

On 30-04-2026, an unidentified woman sold a residential apartment registered under the name of (R.N.) to another woman for an amount of USD 60,000, falsely claiming that she was the owner of the apartment. It was later discovered that the sale had been carried out using a forged identity card bearing the owner’s name.

Therefore, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces circulates the photo of the suspect and requests anyone who has information about her identity or whereabouts to contact the Tripoli Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit at either of the following numbers: 06-423039 or 06-626393, in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures.

It should be noted that, in accordance with the law, the identity of anyone contributing information will remain strictly confidential.

Traffic measures in Dahr el-Baidar – Mdeirej from 12 to 14 September 2026 due to road paving works (further to a previous statement), and in Faraya on 12 and 13 September 2026 for the Feast of the Cross Festival.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – Dahr el-Baidar – Mdeirej Further to our previous statement regarding traffic measures due to paving works on the Damascus International Road, and following the completion of the paving works, the road from Beirut toward the Bekaa will be reopened. Traffic coming from the Bekaa toward Beirut will remain open but will be diverted toward Sofar at the intersection near the first Mdeirej Bridge, onto the internal road through Sofar, on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, 14 September 2026, the previous traffic schedule will resume: the uphill lane toward Mdeirej – Bekaa will be closed, with traffic diverted via the Sofar – Hammana – Tarshish road. In addition, trucks traveling from the Bekaa toward Mount Lebanon will be prohibited during the paving works, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Second – Faraya On 12 and 13 September 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m., the Feast of the Cross Festival will take place in Faraya. The highway will be closed before and after the Faraya roundabout, and traffic will be diverted onto the internal roads. Uphill traffic will be diverted through Faraya – Dar Ali, while downhill traffic will be diverted via the old Faraya – Chabrouh road. Citizens are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the traffic signs installed at the site in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.

96 ivory artifacts worth US$100,000 stolen in Nabatiyeh… the Information Branch was on the case.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: At 6:00 p.m. on 9 September 2026, a citizen filed a complaint at the Nabatiyeh Police Station of the Territorial Gendarmerie Unit against an unidentified individual for breaking into his home in the Al-Bayad neighborhood of Nabatiyeh and stealing ivory ornaments and figurines valued at approximately US$100,000. Specialized units of the Information Branch were immediately instructed to conduct the necessary investigations to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. Follow-up investigations revealed that an individual was offering “ivory tusks” for sale in Nabatiyeh. An Information Branch patrol immediately moved to arrest him. He was identified as: I. K. (born in 1982, Lebanese national). A search of the suspect resulted in the seizure of 96 stolen ivory pieces of various sizes. During questioning, he stated that he had purchased the items from H. Kh. (born in 1979, Syrian national), who remains at large, with the intention of reselling them. The detainee and the seized items were handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority. Traffic measures on 12 and 13 September 2026 in Okaibeh – Kesrouan due to a summer festival, and in Achrafieh for the commemoration ceremony marking the assassination of former President Bachir Gemayel.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – Okaibeh, Kesrouan On 12 and 13 September 2026 at 5:00 p.m., the Okaibeh Summer Festival will take place in the town square. The old road will be closed starting at 4:00 p.m. Traffic will be diverted from the intersections near Byblos Bank, Mar Takla Church, and the fish restaurants uphill toward the highway, in order to prevent vehicles from entering the festival area. Second – Achrafieh, Sassine Square On 13 September 2026 at 6:00 p.m., at the invitation of the Bachir Gemayel Foundation, a ceremony marking the 44th anniversary of the assassination of former President Bachir Gemayel will be held at Sassine Square in Achrafieh. Roads leading to Sassine Square will be closed from 7:00 a.m. until the end of the ceremony, with traffic diverted as follows: Traffic coming from Dekweneh Bridge will be diverted toward Azarieh; Traffic coming from Sodeco will be diverted at the Adib Ishac intersection toward ABC; Traffic coming from Mar Mitr toward ABC – Sassine Square will be diverted toward the BERTY Pharmacy downhill road; Traffic coming from Alfred Naccache Avenue toward Sassine Square will be diverted toward the Sassine Tunnel. Citizens are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the traffic signs installed at the aforementioned locations in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.

Traffic measures in Beirut over the next two days due to road paving and road-marking works.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – Road paving works: Tomorrow, 12 September 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a contracting company will carry out paving works on Pierre Gemayel Avenue, along the route from Corniche el-Mazraa (Saeb Salam Boulevard) toward Adlieh. Traffic will be prohibited on the lane from Barbir – Corniche el-Mazraa toward Adlieh. Vehicles will be diverted from the intersection opposite Mohammad el-Hout Street, against the normal direction of traffic toward the Museum – Adlieh Tunnel, before being redirected at the Seryan intersection toward Fiat Bridge – Ministry of Interior. Second – Road-marking works: A contracting company will carry out road-marking works in two phases: A – Phase One: from 9:00 a.m. on 12 September 2026 until 5:00 a.m. on 13 September: Works will take place from the Cola intersection toward Sports City, up to the bus parking area – Engineers’ Syndicate intersection. These works will not require the road to be closed to traffic. B – Phase Two: from 9:00 a.m. on 13 September 2026 until 5:00 a.m. on 14 September: Works will begin at the pedestrian crossing opposite the Engineers’ Syndicate, on the route coming from Sports City – Civil Defense Center, passing behind Hamza Mosque alongside the bridge, and continuing to Saeb Salam Boulevard (Corniche el-Mazraa) toward Salim Salam. The works will require temporary road closures in several stages. Citizens are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the traffic signs installed at the site in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.
