The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to track down and apprehend individuals wanted by the judiciary across Lebanon, the Central Anti-Narcotics Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit received information about a wanted individual involved in drug-related offences who was staying in Ain Anoub – Aley and was in possession of a forged identity document. Following investigations, on 25 August 2026, a Bureau patrol, in coordination with the Special Group of the aforementioned Unit, arrested him in the area while he was aboard a Kia. He was identified as: M. A. (born in 1979, Lebanese national), who is wanted under four arrest warrants for drug-related offences. A search of the suspect and the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a handgun, a magazine, and live ammunition, as well as five mobile phones that he used to manage his drug trafficking and distribution network, and two forged identity cards bearing his photograph. During questioning, he stated that he ran an extensive drug trafficking network, operating through dealers working on his behalf. The necessary legal measures were taken against him pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend all other individuals involved.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to track down and apprehend perpetrators of various crimes across Lebanon, while a Bangladeshi national was standing on a public sidewalk in the Corniche el-Nahr area, two individuals riding a motorcycle snatched his mobile phone. Following investigative efforts, the Beirut Investigation Detachment of the Beirut Police Unit succeeded in identifying and arresting the two perpetrators. Both were found to have prior criminal records. They were identified as: Kh. H. (born in 1980, Lebanese national); H. H. (born in 1988, Lebanese national), who is wanted under an arrest warrant for motorcycle theft. During questioning, both suspects admitted to carrying out the aforementioned snatching. The two detainees and the motorcycle were handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to combat crime throughout Lebanon, on 8 September 2026, the Beirut Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit received a complaint filed by a woman against an unidentified individual for the theft of a valuable diamond-encrusted wristwatch, estimated to be worth US$120,000. The watch had been stolen from a handbag in the bedroom of her home in Achrafieh – Beirut. The Detachment immediately launched the necessary investigations and succeeded in identifying the suspect, who was found to be employed as the complainant’s driver. He was identified as: B. H. (born in 1970, Lebanese national). Follow-up investigations revealed that the suspect was planning to leave Lebanon for Turkey on 14 September 2026. Detachment officers therefore lured him into a trap and arrested him in Verdun on 12 September 2026, before he was able to leave the country. During questioning, he admitted to stealing the watch, whose location he knew through his work. He stated that he had used a copy of the house key that he had previously made, taking advantage of the complainant’s absence. He also admitted to selling the watch to a watch dealer for US$27,000. The watch was recovered from the dealer and returned to its owner. The detainee, B. H., was referred to the competent judicial authority pursuant to its instructions.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to track down and apprehend individuals involved in drug trafficking, and within the framework of the security plan established by the Judicial Police Unit to combat the scourge of drugs and curb their spread, the Central Anti-Narcotics Bureau received information indicating that: K. A. (born in 1974, Lebanese national) had been bringing quantities of drugs into Kfardebian on multiple occasions and was also in possession of a quantity of firearms. Following investigative efforts, a Bureau patrol raided his residence in the same town on 21 August 2026, arresting him and his two accomplices: H. J. (born in 1996, Syrian national); A. R. (born in 2005, Syrian national). A search of the suspects and the apartment resulted in the seizure of: A 7.62 mm RPD Degtyaryov machine gun, a Kalashnikov rifle, and a 6 mm Ruger rifle; A 7.62 mm Dragunov sniper rifle; Two handguns and a quantity of ammunition; A glass container holding 44 g of marijuana; A transparent plastic container holding 13.6 g of cocaine; A 5.7 g piece of cocaine base (“Baz”); A precision scale, a metal grinder containing marijuana, and tools used to prepare cocaine base. The necessary legal measures were taken against the three detainees, who were referred, together with the seized weapons, narcotics, and other items, to the competent judicial authority pursuant to its instructions.
