They were dealing drugs from a motorcycle in Hay al-Sellom. The Mount Lebanon Investigation Detachment arrested them and seized a quantity of drugs.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:

As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to track down and arrest perpetrators of all types of crimes across various Lebanese regions, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Detachment of the Territorial Gendarmerie Unit received information about an individual dealing drugs from a motorcycle in the Hay al-Sellom area, opposite the cemetery.

Following surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the detachment succeeded, on 10 August 2026, in intercepting the motorcycle at the aforementioned location. The motorcycle was found to be unregistered and was being driven by:

A. T. (born in 2001, Lebanese)

During questioning, he admitted to dealing drugs.

A search of the suspect resulted in the seizure of:

a medicine envelope containing blue pills;

32 small transparent bags containing hashish;

11 small green bags containing hashish;

9 small blue bags containing marijuana;

5 medium-sized black bags containing marijuana;

  • sums of money in Lebanese pounds and US dollars in various denominations, as well as a mobile phone.

In a related operation on the same date, a patrol from the same detachment arrested another individual who was dealing drugs from another motorcycle in the Hay al-Sellom area – Orwa Street. He identified himself as:

M. J. (born in 2005, Syrian), according to his statement.

During questioning, he admitted to dealing drugs in several locations, including Hay al-Sellom – Orwa Street, near Al-Wardiyah Station, on the street of the roasteries, near the cemetery, and at various times inside the market. He also stated that he worked for another individual.

A search of the suspect resulted in the seizure of:

a small metal marijuana grinder;

a small transparent bag containing salvia;

a medium-sized green bag containing hashish;

sums of money in Lebanese pounds and US dollars, as well as a mobile phone.

The two suspects, the seized items and substances, and the two motorcycles were handed over to the relevant unit for the necessary legal measures to be taken, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judiciary.

They stole the contents of a destroyed building in Adchit – Nabatiyeh and split the proceeds… the Information Branch tracked them down and arrested them.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Following investigations conducted by the Information Branch in the city of Nabatiyeh, one of its patrols arrested two individuals in Adchit – Nabatiyeh on suspicion of stealing contents from a destroyed building. One of them works in the scrap-metal trade. They would sell the stolen items to a scrap yard and split the proceeds. They were identified as: M. A. (born in 1969, Egyptian national); I. M. (born in 1978, Lebanese national). The stolen property is estimated to be worth approximately US$20,000 and includes: 63 solar panels; 2 water tanks; More than 350 square meters of tiles; 3.5 cubic meters of wood; Industrial equipment and other items. During questioning, M. A. admitted that, together with I. M., he had stolen the contents of a building destroyed during the war in several batches, sold the stolen property to a scrap yard, and split the proceeds after each sale. I. M. also admitted to participating in the theft. The two detainees and the seized items were handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

A minor threw stones at a church, shattering its windows… the Information Branch tracked him down and arrested him.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ daily efforts to combat crime across Lebanon, the Information Branch received information on 23 August 2026 about an unidentified individual who had thrown stones at Saint Thérèse Church in the Minieh area, shattering its windows. Following this information, the Branch’s specialized units launched field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. Investigations led to his identification and established that he was a minor born in 2010. On 26 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, a Branch patrol arrested him in the Minieh area. The detained minor was handed over to the competent authority for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

Internal Security Forces: Results from the first three days of the traffic enforcement campaign.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: In an effort to reduce tragic road accidents, and pursuant to a decision by the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Brigadier General Ahmad Hajjar, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces has begun implementing measures to enforce traffic regulations across Lebanon. Between 7 and 10 September 2026, a total of 7,352 traffic violations of various types were recorded, including speeding, driving without license plates, failure to wear a seat belt, using a mobile phone while driving, and other violations. In addition, 226 vehicles in violation of traffic regulations and 451 illegal motorcycles were impounded. The Internal Security Forces will continue to enforce the law in order to protect citizens’ lives and enhance road safety.

In Bourj el-Barajneh, following a financial dispute, he shot and killed his father… the Information Branch tracked down his hiding place and arrested him.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 25 August 2026, in the Bourj el-Barajneh area, following a financial dispute: R. M. (born in 2006, Lebanese national) opened fire with a pump-action shotgun at his father: A. M. (born in 1968, Lebanese national). The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the neck and head and was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The shooter fled to an unknown location. Following the incident, specialized units of the Information Branch launched field and intelligence operations at the crime scene and in the surrounding area to locate and apprehend the suspect. Investigations led officers to his hiding place inside an apartment in a building in the Airport Road area. Following close surveillance and monitoring, the apartment was raided and the suspect was arrested inside. A search of the suspect resulted in the seizure of: A handgun with a magazine containing 10 live rounds, as well as one round in the chamber; A black pump-action shotgun bearing red-colored traces, along with 10 live rounds inside a bag. The detainee and the seized weapons and ammunition were handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.
