The Internal Security Forces, together with the residents of the town of Yanouh, held funeral ceremonies for their martyr, Warrant Officer First Class Hassan Ali Jaber, and his son Ali, who were martyred on 09/02/2026 as a result of an Israeli airstrike on the said town. The funeral took place today, 10/02/2026, during a solemn procession attended, alongside the martyr’s family, by the Head of the Southern Information Branch, Colonel Abdel Nabi Zbib, representing the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, heading a delegation of officers. Also in attendance were representatives of military and security leaderships, religious and social figures, as well as a number of the martyr’s colleagues and companions.
Following the laying of the two martyrs’ bodies, official honors were rendered to the sound of the funeral march performed by a band from the Internal Security Forces’ music unit, preceded by the bearers of medals and wreaths.
A eulogy was then delivered by Colonel Abdel Nabi Zbib, in which he paid tribute to the Warrant Officer, stating:
“On behalf of the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces — command, officers, and personnel — on behalf of the Head of the Information Branch, and on my own behalf, we extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Jaber family, to the honorable people of the town of Yanouh, and to all loved ones and attendees, for the loss of the two martyrs, Warrant Officer First Class Hassan Jaber and his son Ali.
This is true death, and this is the greatness of martyrdom. You resisted and endured, bearing pain with dignity, a devoted father and a role model among your colleagues for honesty and discipline, until yesterday morning when you advanced toward martyrdom, dismounting from the steed of duty to ascend alongside your son, offering everything you had.
Pure blood has irrigated the land of the South and will remain a noble symbol of sacrifice in the face of the enemy, its crimes, and its treacherous war machine that murdered the innocence of children and the resolve of men. It was the will of the Almighty Creator that you depart and join the caravan of martyrs of the Internal Security Forces and the الوطن.”
He then recited a brief account of the martyr’s life.
Afterwards, the funeral procession proceeded toward the martyrs’ final resting place, led by the bearers of medals and wreaths on behalf of the Internal Security Forces institution.
The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crime across Lebanon, particularly drug-related offenses, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Unit of the Regional Gendarmerie received information indicating that an individual was distributing narcotics to dealers from within a warehouse he was operating in the Haret Hreik area. Following surveillance and monitoring, and in a targeted operation, a patrol from the above-mentioned unit apprehended him at 10:30 p.m. on 3 August 2026 in the same area while he was riding a motorcycle without license plates or a chassis number. He was identified as: H. A. (born in 2004, Syrian national) A raid on his place of residence, carried out in coordination with the judiciary, led to the seizure of a large quantity of various narcotics, divided and prepared for distribution, as follows: 50 ketamine containers 171 sealed packets containing crystal meth 49 sealed transparent bags containing marijuana Five large packets sealed inside a transparent bag containing crystal stone 22 small packets containing baz One packet containing a white substance 13 packets containing cocaine Ten transparent bags containing Captagon pills Eight bags containing colored narcotic pills Five small transparent bags containing cannabis resin (hashish) Five large transparent bags containing marijuana herb Transparent nylon bags Three pieces of cannabis resin, unpackaged, and one small piece of the same substance The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces' ongoing efforts to locate and arrest persons wanted by the judiciary, the Information Branch obtained intelligence regarding the presence of one of the most dangerous wanted fugitives in the town of Ain El Dahab – Akkar. The suspect had been in hiding and was known to exercise extreme caution in his movements. He was identified as: K. S. (born in 2001, Lebanese). He has a criminal record involving safe thefts and residential burglaries by forced entry. Accordingly, the specialized units of the Information Branch were tasked with apprehending him. On 7 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, one of the Branch's patrols arrested him in a carefully planned ambush in the above-mentioned town. A records check revealed that he was wanted under 20 arrest warrants, including: 12 arrest warrants for theft. 5 arrest warrants for forming a criminal gang and committing theft. 2 arrest warrants for arms trafficking. 1 arrest warrant for breaking and entering and theft. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces' ongoing efforts to pursue and arrest those involved in drug-related crimes, and within the security plan implemented by the Judicial Police Unit to combat drug trafficking and curb its spread, the Central Anti-Narcotics Bureau received information on 17 July 2026 regarding preparations to smuggle narcotics to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through a shipping company. Following surveillance and monitoring of the shipment, officers arrested the individual delivering the parcel while he was handing it over to the shipping company. He was identified as: H. N. (born in 1977, Lebanese). A search of the parcel led to the seizure of approximately 5,000 Captagon tablets, professionally concealed inside a flower vase box. The necessary legal measures were taken against the suspect. Investigations are ongoing, under the supervision of the competent judicial authority, to identify and arrest the remaining individuals involved.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – Corniche Al Nahr: From 10 August 2026 until Friday, 14 August 2026, a contracting company will carry out asphalt tack-coat spraying on the section extending from under the Peugeot Bridge to the Dakhliyeh intersection, daily from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following day. The road will be closed to traffic throughout the works. Traffic will be diverted left from beneath the bridge, then right after the Mallah station toward Badawi, continuing to Badawi – Nahr Entrance (Dakhliyeh) – Karantina. Traffic heading uphill will be diverted either toward Charles Malek Avenue or left toward Our Lady Church – Sassine. Second – Bhamdoun: On 10 August 2026, starting at 7:00 a.m., a contracting company will spray the international highway extending from the Dahr El Baidar Police Station to the Bhamdoun Tunnel in both directions in preparation for resurfacing works. Traffic will remain open throughout these works. Citizens are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the directional traffic signs in the affected areas to facilitate traffic flow.
