The following statement was issued:
Further to our previous communiqué dated 07-05-2026 regarding road paving works in the Salim Salam area and its surroundings, the contracting company will apply a second asphalt layer in the Salim Salam area, from Al Sultan Sweets to Al Makhazen stores, starting at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, 06-06-2026, until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, 07-06-2026.
Accordingly, the following traffic measures will be implemented:
Traffic coming from Corniche El Mazraa toward Bashir Joumblatt Street will be prohibited and diverted from beneath the bridge toward the first detour.
Traffic coming from the Mills Ramp toward Salim Salam will be prohibited and diverted toward the Barbir intersection – Badran Station.
Traffic heading from the Sports City area toward Downtown Beirut will be diverted into the Salim Salam Tunnel.
Citizens are requested to take note of these measures and to comply with the instructions and guidance of Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as directional traffic signs, in order to preserve public safety and prevent congestion.
Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following communiqué was issued: As part of the daily efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to curb drug trafficking and distribution operations across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained information regarding an unidentified individual involved in drug dealing in Mount Lebanon, particularly in the Metn area. Consequently, the specialized units of the Branch launched field and intelligence operations to identify and arrest the suspect. Following investigations and inquiries, they succeeded in identifying him as: A. H. (born in 1998, Lebanese) On 23-05-2026, following a meticulous surveillance and monitoring operation, a patrol from the Information Branch caught him red-handed in the Dekwaneh area while he was distributing narcotics on board a gray “GR” motorcycle without license plates, which was seized. A search of the suspect and the motorcycle led to the seizure of: • 8 plastic containers marked “$100” containing cocaine • 3 paper packets marked “Foreign” containing cocaine • 5 plastic containers marked “net” containing cocaine • 25 plastic containers containing cocaine • One cannabis cigarette and a booklet of rolling papers During interrogation, he confessed to the charges brought against him. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, along with the seized items, to the competent judicial authority, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following communiqué was issued: With the end of the academic year and the beginning of celebrations by students of the Lebanese Baccalaureate – Part II, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces reminds students and school administrations of the importance of keeping celebrations within safe and legal boundaries, in order to preserve their safety and that of other citizens. In this context, on 26-05-2026, the Jdeideh Traffic Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit issued two traffic violation reports against the owners of two pickup trucks that were transporting Baccalaureate Part II students in a manner that endangered their safety. The General Directorate also warns against dangerous practices, particularly organizing vehicle convoys, travelling in trucks and vehicles not designed for passenger transport, sitting on vehicle windows, emerging from sunroofs, and using fireworks. It stresses that traffic units will take the necessary legal measures against violators. Dear students, your success is a source of joy for all of us… Celebrate safely.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement was issued: The rehabilitation and maintenance works of the asphalt pavement, as well as road marking operations, will continue on both carriageways of the road extending from Coca-Cola to Airport Bridge (Old Airport Road), from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on June 5, 6, and 7, 2026. These works will result in a narrowing of the roadway at the work sites, and traffic will be restricted to a single lane. Citizens are requested to take note of this notice and to comply with the instructions and directions of Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as with traffic signs and guidance boards, in order to preserve public safety and prevent traffic congestion.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following communiqué was issued: On 22-04-2026, citizen H. A. (born in 1972) filed a complaint stating that an unknown individual had stolen gold rings, a wristwatch, precious stones, amber bracelets, and a sum of money from him. The theft occurred after the suspect assisted him in booking a room at a hotel in the Maameltein area. The value of the stolen items was estimated at approximately USD 250,000. Immediately, the competent units of the Internal Security Forces launched field and intelligence measures to identify and arrest the perpetrator. As a result of investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch succeeded in identifying him as: A. A. (born in 1986, Lebanese) Following close surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the Branch arrested him in the town of Broummana while he was driving a gray Jeep Cherokee SUV, which was seized. A search of the suspect and the vehicle led to the seizure of a plastic container containing a substance believed to be the narcotic “crystal meth,” a glass pipe used for its consumption, and four mobile phones. His residence was also searched, but the stolen items were not found. During questioning, he admitted that he had met the complainant by chance and that the latter had asked him to secure a hotel room for him because he was intoxicated. After booking the room, he proceeded to steal his belongings. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority. The vehicle was also placed under judicial seizure upon the instructions of the competent judicial authority.
