On the occasion of Christmas, and in cooperation between the Internal Security Forces and the General Directorate of Prisons, a Christmas Mass was held at Jbeil Prison. The Mass was presided over by Bishop Michel Aoun, Maronite Bishop of Jbeil, assisted by a number of priests. Also in attendance were Captain Suleiman Mudhaffar, Commander of Jbeil Prison; Ms. Natalie Maroun, Governor of Jbeil; Ms. Rida Azar, member of the National Committee Against Torture and for Human Rights; Sister Maria Goretti, a prison director; and a number of prison staff and inmates. Bishop Aoun focused on the meaning of Christmas and its messages of hope and peace, emphasizing that a prisoner is not stripped of their humanity or rights, even while in detention. At the conclusion of the Mass, those present listened to the prisoners’ requests for solutions to the complex issues they face within the prison.
Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division The following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to combat various types of crime throughout Lebanon, including facilitating prostitution, and through investigations, inquiries, and patrols, a patrol from the Counter-Terrorism and Major Crimes Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit, in the Bouar area of Nahr Ibrahim, stopped a silver Daewoo belonging to an associate of a person wanted by the judiciary for facilitating prostitution. The patrol officers surrounded the vehicle and arrested its driver, identified as: - N.A. (born in 1967, Lebanese) And with him was: - R.H. (born in 1983, Syrian) He confessed that he was driving her to a client's house, and that his job was to transport women to clients' homes, on the orders of: - Kh.A. (Born in 1976, Lebanese), efforts are underway to apprehend him. He also confessed to the presence of four women, working in prostitution, at a chalet, where the patrol arrested them. They are of Syrian nationality: – W.Z. (born in 1999) – R.H. (born in 2000) – M.A. (born in 1988) – R.A. (born in 2003) All four were taken to the station along with the vehicle after being searched, and no contraband was found in their possession. The detainees were handed over to the relevant authorities in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial body, and efforts are continuing to apprehend the remaining individuals involved.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division The following statement: 1- As part of the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to enhance security and apprehend lawbreakers, and following investigations, the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit received information that a doctor named: - R.K. (born in 1969, Palestinian) was practicing medicine without a license, inside a clinic in the town of Bar Elias. A force from the detachment raided the aforementioned clinic, in the presence of representatives from the relevant health department, and arrested the doctor while he was examining patients. They also seized a stamp bearing his name and a prescription pad. The clinic was sealed with red wax, and the detainee, along with the seized items, was handed over to the relevant unit to take the necessary legal action against him, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority. 2- In the same context, and based on information received by the aforementioned detachment regarding an individual selling smuggled medications in the Qaa Projects area, a patrol from the detachment raided the suspect's residence in the aforementioned area, where he was arrested. He is identified as: - A.M. (born in 1976, Lebanese). A large quantity of smuggled medications was seized during a search of his residence. The detainee and the seized items were handed over to the relevant unit for legal proceedings, as directed by the competent judicial authority.

The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the daily monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces to reduce crime in various Lebanese regions, the Information Division received information about unknown individuals committing burglaries in homes in the Iqlim al-Kharroub region, particularly in the towns of Shheem and Aanout. The Division intensified its field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the members of the burglary gang. As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, their identities were established. They are: - B. Sh. (born in 1993, Lebanese) - B. Sh. (born in 2001, Lebanese) Both have prior criminal records, and the first has an outstanding arrest warrant for theft. On November 21, 2025, following careful surveillance, a patrol from the division apprehended the two men in a targeted operation in the Zouk Mikael area. They were riding a motorcycle, which was also seized. During interrogation, they confessed to committing numerous burglaries in homes in the towns of Shahim and Aanout. They admitted to surveilling the houses, confirming they were unoccupied, and then breaking in after midnight. Among the stolen items were weapons, cash, and mobile phones, all of which they sold within the Sabra camp. The cash was spent on personal expenses. They also confessed to several failed burglary attempts. The motorcycle was impounded, and the necessary legal procedures were carried out against the two detainees. They were then handed over to the relevant authorities, as directed by the competent judicial body.

The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: On 5-12-2025, citizen N. N. (born in 1952) reported that an unknown individual entered his home in the Sad al-Bouchrieh area, impersonating an employee of the United Nations. The individual then brandished a military handgun, detained him and his wife inside the bathroom, and proceeded to steal a bag containing jewelry worth fifty thousand US dollars and a sum of four thousand US dollars in cash. Immediately, the competent units of the Internal Security Forces initiated their procedures at the scene of the incident and its surroundings. As a result of technical and intelligence follow-up, the Information division was able, within a few hours, to identify those involved in the robbery. They are: R. Y. (born in 1967, Lebanese), a relative of the complainant. H. D. (born in 1970, Lebanese). H. S. (born in 1961, Syrian), with prior convictions for theft. On 6-12-2025, following careful surveillance and monitoring, patrols from the branch succeeded in locating the aforementioned individuals and carried out simultaneous arrest operations. The first was arrested in Zalka while driving a Volkswagen vehicle; USD 3,740 and a quantity of the stolen jewelry were seized from him. The second was arrested in the Sin El-Fil area, and USD 500 was seized from him. The third was arrested in the Naba’a area while riding the motorcycle used in the theft; counterfeit banknotes, a black cap, and a plastic pistol (used in the robbery) were seized from him. During interrogation, they confessed to the charges against them, stating that they had divided the stolen cash among themselves, that the first suspect had disposed of only two pieces of jewelry by selling them to two shops in the Bourj Hammoud area, and that the money seized from him was the proceeds of the sold jewelry. They also stated that the vehicle he was driving at the time of arrest had been purchased with the stolen money. The remaining stolen jewelry was recovered from him. The seized jewelry was returned to the complainant, and the vehicle and motorcycle were judicially impounded. The necessary legal measures were taken against the detainees, who were referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.
