The following statement:
As part of the ongoing efforts of the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces to combat crimes of all kinds and apprehend their perpetrators throughout Lebanese territory, particularly those involved in narcotics-related offenses, the Information Branch received intelligence regarding an individual engaged in drug trafficking in several areas of Mount Lebanon.
As a result, the specialized units launched extensive field investigations and intelligence operations. One of the Branch’s patrols succeeded in arresting the suspect in flagrante delicto in the Hazmieh area while he was distributing narcotics from a petroleum-blue Nissan vehicle, which was seized. He is identified as:

A search of the suspect and the vehicle resulted in the seizure of:
16 plastic containers marked “XP,” each containing approximately 0.5 grams of the substance known as “baz.”
54 plastic containers marked “XP,” each containing approximately 0.5 grams of cocaine.
41 plastic containers, each containing approximately 0.5 grams of cocaine.
23 plastic containers, each containing approximately 0.5 grams of the substance known as “baz.”
44 packets, each containing approximately 0.5 grams of cocaine.
20 plastic containers, each containing approximately 1 gram of cocaine.
10 bags, each containing approximately 15 grams of cocaine.
3 bags, each containing approximately 50 grams of hashish.
3 bags containing marijuana.
126 small white tablets.
A search of his apartment in Mansourieh also led to the seizure of:
87 plastic containers marked “XP,” each containing approximately 0.5 grams of the substance known as “baz.”
218 plastic containers, each containing approximately 0.5 grams of cocaine.
8 plastic containers, each containing approximately 1 gram of cocaine.
2 bags, each containing approximately 50 grams of hashish.
5 bags containing marijuana.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to the charges against him, admitting that he had been distributing narcotics in several areas of Mount Lebanon, including Sayyad, Karantina, and Dora, on behalf of one of the drug traffickers.
The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority upon the instructions of the competent judicial authority. Efforts are ongoing to arrest all other individuals involved.
The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – Road paving works: Tomorrow, 12 September 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a contracting company will carry out paving works on Pierre Gemayel Avenue, along the route from Corniche el-Mazraa (Saeb Salam Boulevard) toward Adlieh. Traffic will be prohibited on the lane from Barbir – Corniche el-Mazraa toward Adlieh. Vehicles will be diverted from the intersection opposite Mohammad el-Hout Street, against the normal direction of traffic toward the Museum – Adlieh Tunnel, before being redirected at the Seryan intersection toward Fiat Bridge – Ministry of Interior. Second – Road-marking works: A contracting company will carry out road-marking works in two phases: A – Phase One: from 9:00 a.m. on 12 September 2026 until 5:00 a.m. on 13 September: Works will take place from the Cola intersection toward Sports City, up to the bus parking area – Engineers’ Syndicate intersection. These works will not require the road to be closed to traffic. B – Phase Two: from 9:00 a.m. on 13 September 2026 until 5:00 a.m. on 14 September: Works will begin at the pedestrian crossing opposite the Engineers’ Syndicate, on the route coming from Sports City – Civil Defense Center, passing behind Hamza Mosque alongside the bridge, and continuing to Saeb Salam Boulevard (Corniche el-Mazraa) toward Salim Salam. The works will require temporary road closures in several stages. Citizens are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the traffic signs installed at the site in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Following investigations conducted by the Information Branch in the city of Nabatiyeh, one of its patrols arrested two individuals in Adchit – Nabatiyeh on suspicion of stealing contents from a destroyed building. One of them works in the scrap-metal trade. They would sell the stolen items to a scrap yard and split the proceeds. They were identified as: M. A. (born in 1969, Egyptian national); I. M. (born in 1978, Lebanese national). The stolen property is estimated to be worth approximately US$20,000 and includes: 63 solar panels; 2 water tanks; More than 350 square meters of tiles; 3.5 cubic meters of wood; Industrial equipment and other items. During questioning, M. A. admitted that, together with I. M., he had stolen the contents of a building destroyed during the war in several batches, sold the stolen property to a scrap yard, and split the proceeds after each sale. I. M. also admitted to participating in the theft. The two detainees and the seized items were handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ daily efforts to combat crime across Lebanon, the Information Branch received information on 23 August 2026 about an unidentified individual who had thrown stones at Saint Thérèse Church in the Minieh area, shattering its windows. Following this information, the Branch’s specialized units launched field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. Investigations led to his identification and established that he was a minor born in 2010. On 26 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, a Branch patrol arrested him in the Minieh area. The detained minor was handed over to the competent authority for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: In an effort to reduce tragic road accidents, and pursuant to a decision by the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Brigadier General Ahmad Hajjar, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces has begun implementing measures to enforce traffic regulations across Lebanon. Between 7 and 10 September 2026, a total of 7,352 traffic violations of various types were recorded, including speeding, driving without license plates, failure to wear a seat belt, using a mobile phone while driving, and other violations. In addition, 226 vehicles in violation of traffic regulations and 451 illegal motorcycles were impounded. The Internal Security Forces will continue to enforce the law in order to protect citizens’ lives and enhance road safety.
