The following communiqué was issued:
As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking and distribution activities throughout various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained information regarding an unidentified individual involved in drug dealing in the Metn area.
As a result of investigations and inquiries, the Branch succeeded in identifying him as:
M. Z. (born in 1987, Lebanese)
On 04-06-2026, following a surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the Branch’s patrols arrested him in flagrante delicto in the Fanar area while he was distributing narcotics aboard a black “GR” motorcycle, which was seized.
A search of the suspect and the motorcycle led to the seizure of:
7 bags containing hashish
1 bag containing marijuana
16 bags containing “Baz” narcotic substance
6 plastic containers containing “Baz” narcotic substance
3 plastic containers containing cocaine
3 plastic containers marked with the letter “A” containing cocaine
2 envelopes containing Captagon pills, weighing approximately 18 grams
A military pistol with a magazine and 10 rounds of live ammunition
A mobile phone and a sum of money
During interrogation, he confessed to the charges brought against him.
The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, along with the seized items, to the competent authority pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.
Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: The following statement: As part of the daily efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat the trafficking and distribution of narcotics across various Lebanese regions, and based on information received by the Mount Lebanon Intelligence Unit in the Regional Gendarmerie Division regarding a person allegedly dealing narcotics in the Hayy al-Sellom area while riding a motorcycle, a force from the unit headed to the location on July 6, 2026. Following surveillance and monitoring, his location was identified, and a specialized security operation led to his interception and arrest while he was on a motorcycle. He is identified as: A. H. (born in 1995, Lebanese) Upon searching him, a quantity of narcotics was found in his possession, packaged in small nylon bags and plastic containers, and prepared for distribution. He, along with the motorcycle and the seized items, was handed over to the relevant unit for the necessary legal action to be taken against him, at the instruction of the competent judicial authority.

Within the framework of the strategic plan developed by the Internal Security Forces, particularly in terms of institutional and administrative development and the modernization of infrastructure, a ceremony was held on 7 July 2026 at the Le Royal Hotel – Dbayeh to launch the partnership project with the global EBSCO database, implemented for the benefit of the Internal Security Forces Library, with funding from BLOM Bank. The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Social Services Administration Unit, Brigadier General Elie Al-Asmar, representing the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah; the Vice President of Sales for the Middle East and North Africa and representative of EBSCO, Mr. Ali Abdullah; the Head of Business Development and Retail Solutions and representative of BLOM Bank, Ms. Christine Wakim; as well as the representative of the Institute of Judicial Studies, Judge Jad Maalouf; the representative of the Beirut Bar Association, lawyer Alexander Najjar; the representative of the Bar Association in the North, Dr. Odine Salloum; representatives of the Scientific Supervisory Committee of the Security Studies Journal, the Lebanese University, and a number of private universities, in addition to officers from the Internal Security Forces. After the Lebanese national anthem, Administrative Major Linda Ghosban and Administrative Major Micheline Sfeir welcomed the attendees. Mr. Ali Abdullah then delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the digital library initiative comes within the framework of EBSCO’s support for digital transformation and the enhancement of access to knowledge. He noted that it provides Internal Security Forces personnel with an integrated knowledge platform that supports continuous training and performance development. He explained that investing in knowledge constitutes a fundamental pillar for building capacities and preparing human resources capable of keeping pace with developments, expressing his pride in the partnership with the Internal Security Forces and in the role of this platform in promoting institutional excellence. For his part, Brigadier General Elie Al-Asmar pointed out that the launch of the Internal Security Forces electronic library constitutes a pivotal milestone in the development of knowledge-based work within the institution, and a qualitative step that reflects the leadership’s vision of moving toward a modern digital environment. This environment enables officers, personnel, and their families to access more than 300,000 sources, thereby strengthening continuous learning and professional development. He noted that the project falls within the strategic plan of the Internal Security Forces and was achieved thanks to the support of the Director General and the partnership with both EBSCO and BLOM Bank, praising the efforts of all parties that contributed to its success. He stressed that the electronic library is not merely a technical project, but rather a sustainable knowledge platform aimed at strengthening scientific research, developing performance, building capacities, and raising the level of readiness, based on the belief that investing in knowledge forms the foundation of effective security and sustainable institutional development. The ceremony concluded with a presentation delivered by the representative of EBSCO, Mr. Ali Abdullah, during which he addressed the mechanism for using the digital platform and ways to benefit from its diverse content and resources, allowing for more effective access to knowledge. Commemorative shields were also exchanged between Brigadier General Elie Al-Asmar and Mr. Ali Abdullah, in appreciation of the partnership and cooperation in implementing this project.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following communiqué: As part of the ongoing work carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue and arrest perpetrators of various types of crimes across all Lebanese regions, particularly fraud crimes, information became available to the Tripoli Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit regarding the activities of: A. T. D. H. born in 1980, Jordanian national He had been defrauding his victims and seizing their money in a professional manner. He would meet them in public places and make them believe that he worked in the field of investment in the stock market, gold, and silver, asking them to provide him with sums of money to invest in these fields. Once he received the requested amounts, he would disappear. Therefore, and based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces is circulating his photo and asks anyone who knows anything about him or his whereabouts to contact the Tripoli Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit at one of the following numbers: 06-423039 or 06-626393, to provide any available information. The identity of anyone who contributes information will remain confidential, in accordance with the law.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following communiqué: As part of the ongoing follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to curb drug dealing across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch received information about an unidentified person selling drugs on the Old Saida Road. As a result of inquiries and investigations, the Branch was able to identify him as: N. D. A. born in 2001, Syrian national On 19 June 2026, after close surveillance and monitoring, one of the Branch’s patrols was able to arrest him in the act in the Hadath area while he was selling drugs on board an unregistered motorcycle, which was seized. He was carrying a bag used for delivery orders in order to disguise his activity. Upon searching him and the motorcycle, the following were found: 12 plastic capsules inside a silver-colored envelope 12 transparent plastic capsules containing a white substance 4 capsules inside an envelope bearing a yellow SPEC sticker 3 capsules containing a white rock-like substance, marked “110” on one side and “حجر” on the other 3 plastic caps inside an envelope containing a white substance 2 plastic caps inside a bag bearing a yellow sticker marked “special offer,” containing a white substance 2 bags containing a black-colored substance A black leather bag, a helmet, a delivery bag, a mobile phone, and a sum of money During questioning, he confessed to the charges attributed to him in terms of selling drugs on board the motorcycle on which he was arrested, for the benefit of another person, on the Old Saida Road between Hadath and Choueifat. He added that he receives between 50 and 60 US dollars for each working day, and that he picks up the goods from an unidentified person riding a motorcycle, in different locations including the Kafaat roundabout, Hadath, and the Old Saida Road. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was handed over, along with the seized items, to the competent authority, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.
