The following statement:
On 07-04-2026, unknown individuals broke into and entered an apartment in a building under construction in the town of Al-Meshref – Chouf, belonging to Ms. L.H. (born in 1962, Syrian-German), and stole copper piping intended for air conditioners, as well as electrical cables and wires.
As a result, orders were given to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
Following investigations and inquiries, the specialized units of the Information Branch identified them as:
N.D. (born in 1977, Syrian)
M.A. (born in 2004, Lebanese)
A.Y. (born in 2006, Lebanese)Y.S. (born in 2007, Lebanese)
On 27-04-2026, after surveillance and monitoring, patrols from the branch carried out a specialized and simultaneous operation, during which:
A.Y. was arrested in the town of Debbieh – Chouf on a motorcycle.
M.A. was arrested in Jamhour.
In Damour, Y.S. was arrested on a motorcycle, and N.D. was arrested in a gold-colored Kia vehicle.
The car, the two motorcycles, three mobile phones, and sums of money were seized.
During interrogation, A.Y., M.A., and Y.S. confessed to carrying out the theft by breaking and entering in Msharref in several stages, using the two motorcycles and the car rented by A.Y. from N.D., who also admitted to this. They further confessed to planning several theft operations targeting houses in the Khaldeh area and its surroundings.
Legal measures were taken against them, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the relevant judiciary.
Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement: After a precise surveillance and monitoring operation that lasted several days, a force from the South Investigation Unit of the Regional Gendarmerie succeeded in arresting two individuals in the city of Sidon for drug trafficking. They are: A.H. (born in 1988, Lebanese) A.A. (born in 1990, Lebanese), who is subject to several arrest warrants for drug trafficking. Upon searching them, a quantity of narcotic substances was seized, including: cocaine, crack cocaine, hashish, Captagon pills, marijuana, and ketamine. They were handed over, along with the seized items, to the concerned unit in order to carry out the necessary legal procedures against them, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to curb robbery incidents across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained information about an unidentified individual carrying out robbery operations in Mount Lebanon, particularly in the Metn area. Accordingly, orders were given to the competent units within the branch to undertake field and intelligence measures to identify and arrest the perpetrator. Following investigations and inquiries, the branch identified him as: J.A. (born in 2011, Lebanese), who is subject to two search and investigation notices for armed robbery. On 28/04/2026, after careful surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the Information Branch managed to set up an ambush in the Fanar area and arrest him while he was riding an unregistered motorcycle, which was seized. Upon searching him and the motorcycle, his mobile phone was found. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him, admitting to carrying out multiple robbery and theft operations in Mount Lebanon. Legal measures were taken against him, and he, along with the seized items, was referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the relevant judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations DivisionThe following statement: On 29/04/2026, M.D. (born in 1960, Palestinian) reported that about 10 days earlier, an unknown person had entered his home in Wadi al-Zayneh–Chouf without forced entry and stolen approximately half a kilogram of gold jewelry and around $9,000 USD. As a result, orders were given to the competent units of the Information Branch to carry out field and intelligence procedures to identify and arrest the perpetrator. Following investigations and inquiries, the branch was able within hours to identify him as: A.Z. (born in 1995, Palestinian) After surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the branch arrested him on the same date in the aforementioned area. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges, stating that on 19/04/2026 he had entered the house in Wadi al-Zayneh and stolen gold jewelry and cash. He added that he hid the stolen items in a BMW car belonging to his ex-wife, T.M. (born in 2003, Palestinian). He also stated that he sold part of the stolen gold at jewelry shops in Sidon and spent the money on personal matters. Accordingly, on the same date, a patrol from the branch arrested T.M. in Sidon and seized the vehicle. Upon searching her and the car, a quantity of gold jewelry was found. During interrogation, she confessed to what was attributed to her. Legal measures were taken against both of them, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the relevant judiciary.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: The Municipality of Beirut will carry out maintenance works on the roadway and sidewalks in the Gemmayzeh area, along the stretch extending from the Georges Haddad intersection (Chez Paul restaurant) to Saint Anthony Church. The works will commence on 01/05/2026 and will last for a period of 15 days. Accordingly, traffic will be closed in the area and diverted from Georges Haddad Street toward the Kataeb House (downhill direction), and from Borj El-Ghazal intersection (uphill direction). Citizens are kindly requested to take note and comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and traffic signage, in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.
