Circulation of the photo of a dangerous detainee involved in robbery and snatching operations arrested by the Mount Lebanon Investigation Division. Have you fallen victim to his crimes?

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on 21/05/2026, an unidentified individual arrived on a motorcycle of unknown specifications at a pharmacy located on Old Saida Road – Hadath, under the pretext of purchasing medication. He then drew a military pistol at the employee, stole the cash register containing approximately USD 900 and ten million Lebanese pounds, and fled to an unknown destination.

Furthermore, on 25/05/2026, the suspect snatched a handbag belonging to a lawyer in the Sayyad area and stole a taxi in the same area after the driver attempted to stop him following the victim’s cries for help. He is also suspected of carrying out other robbery operations.

Immediately, the competent units of the Internal Security Forces launched procedures to identify and arrest the perpetrator. As a result of immediate and intensive investigations and inquiries, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Division of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit succeeded in arresting him in the Bourj El-Barajneh area. A forged civil status document was found in his possession, and he was identified as:

It was also revealed that he has a criminal record and is involved in similar operations.

The detainee was handed over to the competent police station, and investigations were initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary.

Therefore, and based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces circulates the photo of the detainee and requests anyone who has fallen victim to his acts and recognizes him to report to the Mount Lebanon Investigation Division or contact the number 01-292923 in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures.

S. (born in 1995, Syrian national) He is suspected of involvement in fraud offenses by claiming that he could obtain visas and residence permits for Syrian nationals in exchange for sums of money. Accordingly, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces asks anyone who fell victim to his actions and recognizes him to report to the aforementioned detachment, located at the Baabda Serail, or to call either of the following numbers: 921115-05 / 922173-05, so that the necessary legal measures may be taken.

CHF 2,220 Stolen from a House in Chouf… Baakline Police Station Arrests the Thief and Recovers Part of the Stolen Money

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 29 July 2026, a woman filed a complaint with the Baakline Police Station of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, reporting the theft of CHF 2,220 from her residence in the town of Wadi Bnahleh – Chouf. She also stated that approximately two months earlier she had discovered the disappearance of US$2,500, and suspected one of her father-in-law's workers: T. M. H. (born in 1991, Syrian national). Following investigations conducted by officers of the police station, the suspect was located later that same day in the same town and arrested in coordination with a patrol from the Information Branch. A search of the suspect and his residence led to the seizure of: LBP 520,000,000 US$11,082 CHF 1,000 During interrogation, the suspect confessed to stealing the CHF 2,220, explaining that he had exchanged part of the amount into US dollars. He further claimed that the remaining money seized at his residence had been earned through his work. The suspect and the seized funds were referred to the competent judicial authority through the Beiteddine Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit, in accordance with judicial instructions.

He Opened Fire and Terrorized Residents in Tariq El Jdideh… A Well-Planned Ambush by the Beirut Investigation Unit Led to His Arrest

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: A video circulating on social media showed an individual firing a military handgun at a commercial shop in the Tariq El Jdideh – Sports City area, causing panic and fear among residents. The specialized units of the Internal Security Forces immediately launched intensive field and investigative operations to identify the perpetrator and locate him. On 12 August 2026, following extensive investigations and close monitoring, officers from the Beirut Investigation Unit of the Beirut Police Unit identified the suspect's whereabouts. A carefully planned ambush was set up in the Omar Beyhum area, leading to his arrest. He was identified as: T. H. (born in 2007, Palestinian national), who is also wanted under an arrest warrant for theft. A knife was found in his possession. During interrogation, he confessed to carrying out the shooting. The suspect and the seized item were handed over to the competent police station for the necessary legal proceedings, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

US$15,000 Disappeared from the Home of a Fuel Station Owner… Baabda Judicial Detachment Identifies the Thief, and the Motive Behind the Theft Comes as a Surprise

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 13 July 2026, the Baabda Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit was assigned an investigation file following a complaint filed by a citizen against an unknown person for the theft of US$15,000 from inside his home in one of the towns of the Baabda District. Following investigations and inquiries conducted by the Detachment, suspicion fell on an employee at the fuel station owned by the complainant, identified as: H. A. (born in 2001, Syrian national). After further questioning and being confronted with evidence indicating his involvement, the suspect confessed to stealing the money and admitted that he had spent it on purchasing in-game credits for an online gaming application. The suspect was referred to the competent judicial authority in accordance with its instructions.
