The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
First – Badaro:
A contracting company will carry out asphalt tack coat spraying in Badaro on the carriageway extending from in front of the Smallville Hotel (Buick) toward the Museum intersection, from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, 7 August 2026, until 5:00 a.m. on Friday, 8 August 2026.
Road resurfacing works will then begin at 8:00 a.m. on 8 August 2026 and continue until 5:00 p.m. the same day.
The works will require a full road closure. Traffic will be diverted from the Badaro intersection either:
Right toward Beit El Mohami – Justice Palace Roundabout, or
Left toward Badaro Street.
Traffic coming from the Military Hospital toward the Museum will also be diverted right toward Badaro, opposite the former Government Serail.
Second – Sodeco:
Road resurfacing works in Sodeco will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, 8 August 2026, and continue until 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, 9 August 2026, on both carriageways leading from Bechara El Khoury toward Sodeco.
These works will require a road closure. Traffic coming from Omar Beyhum Street toward the Bechara El Khoury intersection will be diverted either:
Left toward Basta, or
Down toward Sahyoun Descent.
Traffic coming from Damascus Road will be diverted either:
Right toward Independence Street – Sassine, or
Down toward Fleming – Falafel Sahyoun.
Third – Geitawi:
Road marking works will be carried out in Geitawi on Saturday and Sunday, 8 and 9 August 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The works will prohibit parking in Rmeil, in front of Geitawi Hospital, and will close the road from the hospital to Mar Louis Street.
Traffic will be diverted either:
Right toward the Jesuit Garden, or
Left toward Rue des Grecs, continuing to Rostom Street and the Martyr President Bachir Gemayel Monument (“Bullet Monument”).
Citizens are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the directional traffic signs in order to avoid congestion.
The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces' ongoing efforts to pursue and arrest perpetrators of all types of crimes, particularly fraud-related offenses, the Baabda Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit arrested: H. W. (born in 1987, Lebanese), on charges of fraud. The suspect worked as a specialist in kitchen installation and carpentry work and advertised his services through social media platforms. After being contacted by potential clients, he would agree on a price for the work, collect an advance payment (deposit), then disappear without carrying out the agreed work. Therefore, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces is circulating his photograph and requests anyone who has fallen victim to his fraudulent acts and recognizes him to report to the Baabda Judicial Detachment at the Baabda Serail, or contact 05-921115 or 05-922173, in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – From the Mansourieh Intersection to Deichounieh: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport will carry out road resurfacing works on the above-mentioned road from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, 8 August 2026. Accordingly, the road will be closed to traffic throughout the duration of the works, and vehicles will be diverted to the surrounding internal roads. Second – From the Nahr El Kalb Tunnel to the Royal Bridge, Dbayeh (Coastal Road): A film production company will be filming an Australian–Lebanese motion picture on the above-mentioned section of the coastal road from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on 8 and 9 August 2026. Traffic will be prohibited on the coastal road during the filming period. Traffic on both carriageways of the highway will remain open as usual. Third – Waterfront (Antelias–Naqqach): The Annual Sports Car Exhibition will be held on the waterfront between Antelias and Naqqach from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on 9 August 2026. Traffic will be prohibited on the above-mentioned road throughout the duration of the exhibition. Citizens are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the directional traffic signs in order to avoid congestion.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces' daily efforts to combat crime, particularly robbery and snatching throughout Lebanon, the Information Branch received information indicating that an individual was carrying out a series of snatching thefts in the Mount Lebanon area. A video documenting one of the thefts in Zouk Mosbeh was also circulated on social media. Accordingly, the specialized units of the Information Branch launched field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the suspect. Following extensive investigations, the Branch identified him as: S. T. (born in 1994, Lebanese). After close surveillance, one of the Branch's patrols arrested him in the Bourj Hammoud area while he was riding a black Sweet motorcycle, which was seized. During interrogation, he confessed to carrying out numerous snatching thefts in various areas of Mount Lebanon. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the seized motorcycle, to the competent authority in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces' daily efforts to combat crime, particularly armed robbery throughout Lebanon, the Information Branch obtained intelligence indicating that two unidentified individuals were carrying out a series of armed robberies in several areas of Mount Lebanon Governorate. Their latest reported offenses occurred on 18 July 2026, when they committed two armed robberies in the town of Jiyeh. Accordingly, the specialized units of the Information Branch launched field and intelligence operations to identify and apprehend the suspects. Following extensive investigations, the Branch identified the two suspects, including: N. H. (born in 1999, Palestinian), who is wanted by the judiciary under eight arrest warrants for armed robbery, snatching, attempted murder, weapons offenses, extortion ("protection money"), and illegal discharge of firearms. On 18 July 2026, following close surveillance, one of the Branch's patrols arrested him in a carefully planned ambush in Jiyeh. A search of the suspect led to the seizure of a knife and two Tramadol tablets. During interrogation, he confessed to carrying out several armed robberies and snatching operations in Jiyeh, Naameh, and the Sports City area, in cooperation with another individual. He also admitted to drug use. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority in accordance with the instructions of the competent judicial authority. Efforts are ongoing to arrest his accomplice.
