The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to combat crimes of all kinds, the Baabda Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit received a complaint filed by A. B. against an unknown person for forging property documents, using forged documents, and fraud. The detachment also received two reports, one from a notary public’s office in Jounieh and the other from a notary public’s office in the Bekaa, concerning documents suspected of being forged, including powers of attorney, a property title deed, and an identity card.
As part of its inquiries and investigations, the aforementioned detachment took statements from several other complainants, who reported that S. A., in collaboration with J. J. Gh., had forged property documents belonging to the complainant. The two then mortgaged the property to several individuals with the intention of defrauding them and obtaining their money.
During questioning, J. J. Gh., who had been arrested by the Mount Lebanon Information Branch, admitted to the allegations against him. He stated that S. A. had forged documents relating to several properties and that his own role had been limited to mortgaging them.
As a result of inquiries, investigations, surveillance, and close monitoring, and following intensive security efforts, the whereabouts of the following individual were identified in coordination with the Special Group of the Judicial Police Unit:
S. A. (born in 1975, Lebanese),
who was arrested in a carefully planned ambush. He was the subject of two search and investigation notices and eight arrest and apprehension warrants for fraud, forgery, and other offenses.
During questioning, he admitted to the allegations against him and acknowledged that, in collaboration with others, he had forged several documents, property deeds, powers of attorney, and identity cards in various areas. The properties were subsequently mortgaged in order to obtain sums of money through these fraudulent schemes.
All those involved, who had divided the roles among themselves in carrying out these fraudulent operations, were arrested pursuant to the instructions of the competent judiciary.
The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts by Internal Security Forces units to combat drug trafficking and distribution and to track down and apprehend those involved, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Detachment received information about a gang involved in drug trafficking and dealing. Following this information, a Detachment unit raided two apartments in a residential building in Ain el-Remmaneh and arrested three members of the gang. Officers seized a handgun and a quantity of various types of narcotics, divided into bags, containers, and plastic boxes and prepared for distribution. They also seized precision scales, tools used for packaging and consuming drugs, mobile phones, and a sum of money. The detainees were identified as: R. Z. (born in 1999, Lebanese national); F. A. D. (born in 1996, Lebanese national); K. K. (born in 1999, Lebanese national). The three detainees, along with the seized drugs and other items, were handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 19 September 2026, gunfire erupted in the Raouche – seaside Corniche area, injuring a man. He was taken to Makassed Hospital, where he died as a result of severe bleeding in his lung. Description of the deceased:A man in his twenties, approximately 167 cm tall, of slim build, with an olive complexion, black hair, and a black beard. He was wearing black fabric trousers and a black shirt with white patches. Accordingly, and pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces asks any relatives who recognize him to contact the Raouche Police Station of the Beirut Police Unit at 01-771962, so that the necessary legal procedures can be completed and the body claimed.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: First – Hamra Starting at 2:00 p.m. on 19 and 20 September 2026, a “Back to School” festival will be held on Hamra Street with the aim of boosting commercial and tourism activity. Throughout the festival, traffic will be closed on the main Hamra Street from Rosa Café to the Crowne Plaza Hotel, as well as on all side streets leading into the area. Traffic will also be diverted from the Rosa Café intersection: right toward Cairo Street, and left toward Makdissi Street, then left toward Nehme Yafet Street. Second – Badaro On 20 September 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a public-awareness television commercial for the Directorate General of Civil Defense will be filmed on Al-Alam Street in Badaro, alongside Ogero. Third – Marina, Dbayeh Starting at 8:00 a.m. on 20 September 2026, the Antranik Youth Association will organize a charity FUN RUN in the Marina – Dbayeh area, along the coastal road between Golden Beach and the Martyr Major General Wissam El-Hassan Barracks. The affected road will be closed to traffic throughout the event and until its conclusion. Citizens are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the traffic signs installed at the aforementioned locations in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to track down and apprehend individuals wanted by the judiciary across Lebanon, the Central Anti-Narcotics Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit received information about a wanted individual involved in drug-related offences who was staying in Ain Anoub – Aley and was in possession of a forged identity document. Following investigations, on 25 August 2026, a Bureau patrol, in coordination with the Special Group of the aforementioned Unit, arrested him in the area while he was aboard a Kia. He was identified as: M. A. (born in 1979, Lebanese national), who is wanted under four arrest warrants for drug-related offences. A search of the suspect and the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a handgun, a magazine, and live ammunition, as well as five mobile phones that he used to manage his drug trafficking and distribution network, and two forged identity cards bearing his photograph. During questioning, he stated that he ran an extensive drug trafficking network, operating through dealers working on his behalf. The necessary legal measures were taken against him pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend all other individuals involved.
