Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: As part of the continuous efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat all forms of crime, particularly those related to illegal gambling and betting, on 10-05-2026, while a patrol from the Gambling Suppression Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit was monitoring a horse racing round at the “Horse Racing Track – Tayouneh,” four suspects were arrested: H.S. (born in 1989, Lebanese) A.M. (born in 1983, Lebanese) A.M. (born in 1972, Lebanese) A.F. (born in 1973, Palestinian) for possessing mobile phones in violation of the law prohibiting their entry into the racecourse. During interrogation, the first suspect confessed to working for the individual Y.B. (born in 1993, Palestinian), who was found to be managing operations involving manipulation and fraud in horse racing results at the Beirut Horse Racing Track. He also admitted participating in prohibited gambling games with R.G. (born in 1971, Lebanese), A.H. (born in 1967, Lebanese), F.A.S. (born in 1987, Lebanese), and A.Sh. (Lebanese, with the remainder of his identity unknown). He further confessed to carrying out illegal betting activities for A.A. (born in 1968, Lebanese). The second suspect also admitted working for Y.B. and communicating with him by phone. He stated that he had been tasked with contacting the minor M.G. (born in 2010, Lebanese), who works as a jockey at the racecourse and is involved in manipulating race results under Y.B.’s instructions. He also declared that he engaged in prohibited gambling games with the above-mentioned A.A., as well as D.B. (born in 1989, Palestinian) and K.F. (unregistered). On 11-05-2026, F.A.S. was summoned to the Bureau’s office, where he was arrested for practicing prohibited gambling activities known as “secret Paroli games” on behalf of Y.B. and D.B. Search and investigation notices were circulated against Y.B. — who had previously been investigated for illegal online betting — as well as against D.B., H.N., A.A., R.G., A.H., K.F., M.G. (the jockey), A.K.D., and A.Sh., for engaging in prohibited secret “Paroli” gambling games, manipulating race results, and conducting illegal online betting activities. They were also banned from entering the horse racing track. As of today, the first and second suspects were released pending investigation, while their mobile phones were seized. The accounts of all those involved with money transfer companies used for “Paroli” operations, betting, and illegal gambling activities were frozen. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: On 31-03-2026, an unidentified individual set fire to waste inside a property in Mina – Tripoli, near the “Alfa” company. Videos circulating on social media clearly showed him while carrying out the act of burning waste in the aforementioned area. Therefore, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces circulates his photo and requests anyone who recognizes him to contact the Mina Police Station of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit at the number: 06-616985, in order to take the necessary legal measures.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces units to combat crime and arrest perpetrators, and based on information obtained by the Mount Lebanon Investigation Unit of the Regional Gendarmerie regarding the presence of a person in the Choueifat area suspected of stealing motorcycles with accomplices in the same area, and after a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, a patrol from the unit headed to the specified location, where it carried out a special security operation that resulted in the arrest of one suspect in Choueifat, identified as: H.H. (born in 2001, Syrian), wanted for theft. During questioning, he confessed to participating with others in the theft of a motorcycle on 27-04-2026 from the Choueifat – Amrousieh area, where a silver 2025 Swift motorcycle was stolen and transferred to Haret Hreik to a motorcycle shop. It was also established that he was involved in the theft of another motorcycle from the same area, a black ZR motorcycle, in addition to other theft operations recorded on the same date in the same locality targeting several motorcycles. The detainee was handed over to the competent police station in order to carry out the necessary legal measures against him, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, while efforts continue to arrest the remaining individuals involved.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following: One of the companies will carry out works to install reflective road studs on the eastern and western highways extending from the Qartaba junction to Jbeil and vice versa. The works will begin on 11-05-2026 from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on 12-05-2026, and will continue daily according to the same schedule and road stoppages, except on Saturdays and Sundays, until completion. Citizens are kindly requested to take note and comply with the directions and instructions of the Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as the traffic guidance signs, in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: On 30-04-2026, an unidentified woman sold a residential apartment registered under the name of (R.N.) to another woman for an amount of USD 60,000, falsely claiming that she was the owner of the apartment. It was later discovered that the sale had been carried out using a forged identity card bearing the owner’s name. Therefore, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces circulates the photo of the suspect and requests anyone who has information about her identity or whereabouts to contact the Tripoli Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit at either of the following numbers: 06-423039 or 06-626393, in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures. Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: As part of the continuous efforts undertaken by the competent units of the Internal Security Forces to pursue crimes of all kinds across Lebanese territory and arrest their perpetrators, particularly those related to food safety, and in coordination with the competent judiciary, a patrol from the Financial Crimes and Money Laundering Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit, accompanied by veterinarians from the Ministry of Agriculture, shut down five dairy and cheese factories in the town of Qab Elias – Bekaa, as they were operating without legal licenses and lacked the minimum required health standards. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: As part of efforts to combat drug trafficking and distribution operations across Lebanese territory, and to pursue and arrest those involved, members of the Dahr El-Baidar checkpoint became suspicious, on 07-05-2026, of two individuals aboard a passenger van: T.M. (born in 1996, Lebanese), the van driver M.A. (born in 1986, Syrian) Upon searching them, a quantity of narcotic substances was seized in their possession, consisting of 203 grams of marijuana and 26 grams of cocaine. The two detainees were handed over to the competent unit in order to carry out the necessary legal measures against them, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judiciary.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 01-05-2026, while citizen M.Z. (born in 1982) was withdrawing his retired father’s salary from an ATM in the Tall area of Tripoli, an unidentified individual fraudulently stole the bank card along with the paper containing the PIN code. About an hour later, he received a text message on his mobile phone informing him that the entire monthly salary had been withdrawn from the account. Accordingly, instructions were given to the competent units to carry out field and intelligence measures in order to identify and arrest the thief. As a result of investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch identified the suspect as: M.M. (born in 1994, Lebanese), who has a criminal record for bank card thefts and had previously been arrested for the same offense. On 04-05-2026, following careful surveillance and monitoring, one of the Branch’s patrols arrested him in the Mina area of Tripoli while he was driving a Mercedes vehicle, which was seized. During the search of the suspect and the vehicle, a quantity of narcotics and the stolen money were found in his possession. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him, namely carrying out the fraudulent theft of the bank card and withdrawing the money using it. The stolen amount was returned to the complainant. The necessary legal measures were taken against the detainee (M.M.), and both he and the seized items were referred to the competent authority upon the instruction of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following: One of the contracting companies will carry out asphalt paving works in the Salim Salam area on the road extending from Sultan Sweets to Al-Makhazen Supermarket. These works may lead to traffic congestion starting from 8:00 p.m. on 07-05-2026 until 5:00 a.m. on 11-05-2026. Accordingly, the following traffic measures will be implemented: Traffic will be prohibited from Corniche Al-Mazraa toward Al-Matahen – Salim Salam uphill road. Vehicles will be redirected toward Helo Barracks. As for citizens heading toward Downtown Beirut: It is preferable to use the Salim Salam Bridge toward the tunnels, or the road extending from Barbir toward Bechara El Khoury, or Charles Helou Highway toward Saifi and the waterfront. It should be noted that the internal roads adjacent to the work site on the Mazraa side will remain open. Citizens are requested to take note and comply with the directions and instructions of the Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as the traffic signs placed in the area, in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: As part of the continuous efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to protect citizens from security risks associated with the use of electronic applications, it has been found that a number of applications available on smartphone stores operating on iOS and Android systems belong to an Israeli company and are being used by some citizens. Among these applications is “Room And A Half,” developed by PARTY POOPERS company. Available information has shown that the application collects data from devices on which it is installed, including geolocation, device data, technical identifiers, and personal information. In some cases, it also allows access to message content, photos, and contact data. It was also found that the aforementioned company, headquartered in Tel Aviv, has recently released several applications intended for children and adolescents, most notably: ROOM AND A HALF SURVIVOR ARCADE HEAVEN KITCHEN SWIPE ROAD BUSTERS – MINI GAMES PARTY REDGUNNING HOO ROOM AND A HALF Therefore, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces warns citizens against downloading or using these applications and calls for their immediate deletion from phones if already installed, due to the potential risks they may pose to privacy and information security. The Directorate also urges citizens to exercise caution when downloading any application, to verify its source and permissions before installation, and not to grant permissions that may allow access to their personal data and privacy.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: As part of the continuous efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces units to combat robbery crimes and motorcycle thefts across various Lebanese regions, and following a complaint filed by a citizen stating that two unidentified individuals riding a black “GR” motorcycle without registration plates had robbed citizens of their motorcycles and wallets using military pistols, the Mount Lebanon Investigation Unit of the Regional Gendarmerie, through inquiries, investigations, and follow-up operations, was able to determine the suspects’ location in the Kafaat area. Accordingly, a force from the unit headed to the mentioned area and carried out a special operation that resulted in the arrest of two individuals riding a black Yamaha motorcycle. They are: E.K. (born in 2008, Syrian), according to his statement M.K. (born in 1998, Syrian), according to his statement Two military pistols with a number of live rounds were seized in their possession, in addition to tools used in robbery operations, an amount of money, and a mobile phone. It was also found that the second suspect is wanted by the judiciary for robbery and motorcycle theft crimes, and that his phone contained numerous photos of motorcycles and narcotics. He stated that he works for another individual, and efforts are ongoing to arrest him. The detainees and the seized items were handed over to the competent unit in order to carry out the necessary legal procedures against them, upon the instruction of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, the following statement: One of the contracting companies will carry out the completion of rehabilitation and asphalt maintenance works, including road marking using “thermoplastic paint,” installation of “reflective studs,” and other works, on both lanes of Imam Khomeini Avenue and the Imad Mughniyeh Bridge, starting from tomorrow, Thursday 07-05-2026 until 10-05-2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. each working day. It is to be noted that traffic will not be completely blocked in the area. Therefore, the General Directorate requests citizens to take note and comply with the adopted measures, in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.
