The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to track down and apprehend individuals wanted by the judiciary, and following field and intelligence operations, a specialized unit of the Information Branch succeeded in locating and arresting a wanted individual in the Doha Aramoun area. He was identified as:
Y. D. (born in 1983, Lebanese national),
who is wanted under four judicial warrants for theft and fraud.
During questioning, he admitted to the allegations against him.
The detainee was handed over to the competent unit for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority.
The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to track down and apprehend individuals involved in drug trafficking, and within the framework of the security plan established by the Judicial Police Unit to combat the scourge of drugs and curb their spread, the Central Anti-Narcotics Bureau received information indicating that: K. A. (born in 1974, Lebanese national) had been bringing quantities of drugs into Kfardebian on multiple occasions and was also in possession of a quantity of firearms. Following investigative efforts, a Bureau patrol raided his residence in the same town on 21 August 2026, arresting him and his two accomplices: H. J. (born in 1996, Syrian national); A. R. (born in 2005, Syrian national). A search of the suspects and the apartment resulted in the seizure of: A 7.62 mm RPD Degtyaryov machine gun, a Kalashnikov rifle, and a 6 mm Ruger rifle; A 7.62 mm Dragunov sniper rifle; Two handguns and a quantity of ammunition; A glass container holding 44 g of marijuana; A transparent plastic container holding 13.6 g of cocaine; A 5.7 g piece of cocaine base (“Baz”); A precision scale, a metal grinder containing marijuana, and tools used to prepare cocaine base. The necessary legal measures were taken against the three detainees, who were referred, together with the seized weapons, narcotics, and other items, to the competent judicial authority pursuant to its instructions.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority, the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces is circulating a photograph of an unidentified suspect believed to have stolen a motorcycle from Kefraya – Western Bekaa on 7 September 2026. Accordingly, the Directorate General asks anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts to contact the Zahle Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit at either 08-806523 or 08-807063, so that the necessary legal procedures can be taken. The identity of anyone providing information about the suspect will remain confidential in accordance with the law.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ ongoing efforts to track down and apprehend individuals involved in various crimes throughout Lebanon, information was received regarding an incident that occurred on 23 August 2026 in the Bir Hassan area. An altercation involving several individuals escalated into an exchange of gunfire between two groups, during which A. F. sustained a gunshot wound to the mouth. Those involved subsequently fled to an unknown location. Specialized units of the Information Branch immediately launched field and intelligence operations to locate and apprehend the shooters. Investigations led to the identification of the whereabouts of one of them in the Airport Road area. He was identified as: A. M. (born in 2008, Palestinian national). On 25 August 2026, following close surveillance and monitoring, a Branch patrol arrested him in the aforementioned area. A search of the suspect resulted in the seizure of a handgun. During questioning, he admitted to the allegations against him. The detainee and the seized weapon were handed over to the competent authority for the necessary legal action, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend all other individuals involved.

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of efforts to combat illegal hunting, protect nature and migratory birds passing over Lebanon, and preserve ecological balance, a patrol from the Denniyeh Police Station of the Territorial Gendarmerie Unit arrested three individuals who were hunting in the Daraya area. They were identified as: J. M. (born in 1977, Lebanese national); M. J. H. (born in 1966, Lebanese national); W. A. (born in 1975, Lebanese national). A search resulted in the seizure of a hunting rifle, nets, birdlime sticks, and cages containing goldfinches. Judicial reports were filed against them, and they were released on residence undertakings after pledging not to repeat the offence. The birds were also released, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judicial authority. The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces renews its call on citizens to help combat illegal hunting and violations against migratory birds by reporting offenders whenever such violations are witnessed. Violations may be documented through photos or videos and submitted via the “Balligh” reporting service for follow-up, or reported by calling the Operations Room at 112.
