They were promoting drugs in Mount Lebanon, and the Information Branch arrested them in flagrante delicto and seized a quantity of narcotics.

As part of the daily efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking and promotion operations across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained information about two individuals involved in promoting narcotic substances in Mount Lebanon areas, particularly in the Metn district.

Accordingly, the competent units within the Branch initiated field and intelligence procedures to identify and arrest the two suspects. Following investigations and inquiries, their identities were determined as follows:

H. Y. (born in 2005, Syrian)

H. A. (born in 2008, Syrian female)

On 06/05/2026, after a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the Branch’s patrols arrested them in flagrante delicto in the Bourj Hammoud area while they were promoting drugs aboard a gray “Sweet” motorcycle without license plates, which was seized.

A search of the suspects and the motorcycle led to the seizure of:

Two envelopes containing cannabis resin

Two envelopes containing marijuana

A box containing “crystal” substance

One hashish cigarette

An amount of money and two mobile phones

During interrogation, they confessed to the charges against them.

The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the daily follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat theft operations across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained information regarding the activity of unknown individuals involved in thefts by breaking and entering into homes and commercial stores in Mount Lebanon areas. The latest incident involved the theft of artifacts from a workshop specialized in manufacturing statues and antiques in the Dora area on 29/04/2026. Accordingly, the competent units within the Branch initiated field and intelligence procedures to identify and arrest the members of the theft gang. As a result of investigations and inquiries, the Branch succeeded within hours in identifying them as: Sh. I. (born in 2014, Lebanese) M. H. (approximately 17 years old, Syrian) H. A. (born in 2011, Syrian) On the same date, following a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the Branch’s patrols managed to arrest them in the Nabaa area. A search led to the seizure of several copper utensils in their possession. During interrogation, they confessed to the charges against them, namely carrying out numerous theft operations by breaking and entering, including the aforementioned theft in Dora. They also admitted selling a large quantity of the stolen items in a scrapyard in the Nabaa area in exchange for money. The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they, along with the seized items, were handed over to the competent unit based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

A drug dealer active in the Metn area falls into the hands of the Information Division in flagrante delicto

Accordingly, the competent units within the Branch initiated field and intelligence procedures to identify and arrest the suspect. As a result of investigations and inquiries, his identity was identified as: N. A. B. (born in 2001, Lebanese) On 10/05/2026, following a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the Branch’s patrols managed to arrest him in flagrante delicto in the Nahr Al-Mott area while he was distributing drugs aboard a black “GR” motorcycle without license plates, which was seized. A search of the suspect and the motorcycle led to the seizure of: 4 bags containing Captagon pills weighing approximately 39 grams 5 bags marked with the letter “A” containing cocaine 7 bags containing cocaine 8 capsules containing cocaine 14 capsules containing “Baz” substance 5 bags containing cannabis resin 3 bags containing marijuana One bag containing “Salvia” substance A mobile phone and an amount of money During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he, along with the seized items, was referred to the competent authority based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

The Beirut Investigation Division arrests two members of one of the most dangerous gangs involved in armed motorcycle theft and robbery, with the stolen motorcycles being stored in Sabra in preparation for their sale.

Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: As part of the continuous efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat various types of crimes, a patrol from the Beirut Investigation Division of the Beirut Police Unit managed, on 14/05/2026, to arrest two individuals caught in the act in the Cola area while attempting to steal a motorcycle. They are: T. T. (born in 2005, Lebanese) Y. J. (born in 1992, Syrian) It was also found that the first suspect was wanted under four arrest warrants and a search and investigation notice for armed robbery and theft crimes. A search of the suspects led to the seizure of two loaded military pistols ready for use, in addition to a knife, which they used in carrying out their criminal operations and terrorizing citizens. During interrogation, the two confessed to forming an armed gang and carrying out a series of armed robberies and motorcycle thefts across several areas in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, including Khaldeh, Raoucheh, Ramlet Al-Baida, Damour, Dora, Saadiyat, Jnah, and others. They also admitted to using several criminal methods, notably: Creating disputes with motorcycle riders in order to force them off their motorcycles and steal them. Stealing money and mobile phones from pedestrians at gunpoint. Stealing motorcycles belonging to delivery workers and displaced persons. Investigations further revealed that the suspects were operating within an organized network specialized in stealing motorcycles and storing them in a warehouse in the Sabra area in preparation for selling them and sharing the profits. The suspects, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authority for the necessary legal action, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining individuals involved.
