The Information Division arrested two people from gangs involved in stealing electrical cables, caught in the act.

The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division:

As part of the ongoing efforts by various units of the Internal Security Forces to combat the theft of electrical cables and wires from the public grid throughout Lebanon, the Information Branch received information about two unidentified individuals stealing electrical cables in areas of Mount Lebanon Governorate. Following this, patrols from the aforementioned branch initiated field and investigative procedures to identify and apprehend the suspects. As a result of these investigations, their identities were established as: – M.K. (born in 2004, unregistered) – S.H. (born in 2005, Syrian national) On November 9, 2025, after careful surveillance, one of these patrols apprehended them in the act of cutting and stealing electrical wires belonging to a company in the Sin el-Fil area. Wire cutters, a hacksaw, and electrical cables were found in their possession. The two detainees and the seized items were handed over to the relevant unit to carry out the necessary legal action against them, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.

The Information Branch caught him selling military-grade weapons in Tripoli.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the Internal Security Forces’ daily efforts to track down and arrest suspicious individuals throughout Lebanon, the Information Branch received intelligence indicating that a person was trafficking military-grade weapons in northern Lebanon. Following extensive inquiries and investigations, the Branch identified the suspect as: G. Sh. (born in 1980, Lebanese) On July 12, 2026, after careful surveillance and monitoring, a patrol from the Branch set up an ambush in the Al-Tall area and caught him in the act while he was selling hand grenades. A search of his belongings uncovered a cardboard box containing 13 hand grenades, seven functional detonators, 70 narcotic pills, and a quantity of cocaine. During questioning, he confessed to trafficking military-grade weapons and stated that he obtained them from an individual in the Al-Masoudiyeh area. He also admitted that he had intended to sell the seized hand grenades in order to settle his outstanding debts. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred, together with the seized items, to the competent authority, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judiciary.

Traffic measures on July 26, 2026, in Ehden, Dbayeh, and Falougha, on the occasion of sporting events.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division announces the following: First: The Red Bull Car Park Drift race will be held in the Ehden area on July 26, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Second: On July 26, 2026, at 6:30 a.m., under the supervision of the Lebanese Triathlon Federation, the Rise and Raise Team Club Association will organize the Olympic Duathlon race along the coastal road. The race will start near Mandaloun Restaurant in Dbayeh, continue to Nahr El-Kalb, return to the Emile Lahoud Complex, and then proceed back to the starting point. Third: The Second Hill Climb Race, “Course de Côte,” will be held in the Falougha area on July 26, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Citizens are kindly requested to take note and comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and the directional signs placed at the aforementioned locations, in order to facilitate traffic flow.

Traffic measures in Aaqoura from today until the 26th of this month, coinciding with the Street Food Festival.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following: The Street Food Festival will be held in the town of Aaqoura, Jbeil District, from 8:00 p.m. on July 24, 2026, until July 26, 2026. As a result, part of the main road will be closed to traffic, while all entrances to and exits from the town will remain fully accessible. Citizens are therefore requested to take note of these measures and comply with the instructions of the Internal Security Forces personnel assigned to carry out this mission, as well as with the directional traffic signs, in order to prevent congestion.
